Second, I'm about your age, 29, and I was a bike rider for 20+ years, raced them, jumped them, used them as primary mode of transportation etc. I grew up Dallas, and I'll say this... If I left a bike ANYwhere, even in the late 80's early 90's, that $hit was gone, history, forget about it. Even to this day, if you leave ANYthing of value out in the open for more than 5 minutes, you can kiss it goodbye.

I had a bike for around a decade. It had solid rubber tires that I remember going through hell installing. It too was either stolen or put in the trash.
24 here, no plans at all to get a drivers license. Bike works just fine, and if I really need to get FAR then there's public transportation to fill that gap.
