I don't mind having 4-5 hour sessions in CLAI 2 too, but I still hope that in the second half of the campaign they will go faster, because we've already opened most of the maps and read most of the waypoints.
That's exactly how I play it with my wife. Co-op to a point. She may win each games, but we get to see all the story which is waaay more important to us.
Our group is also halfway through the campaign, and in my opinion the Boss cards is the biggest and most thrilling addition to the game. They make the competititive games much better and they make the cooperative games work. Without them the cooperative mode wouldn't be as dynamic, risky and thrilling. We didn't die much only thanks to higher cooperativenes at the table and sheer luck (timely completion of a side quest). So far I like CLAI 2 more than the first one due to the boss cards, but I also like the general story and the personal stories of the individual characters in the second legacy more. However, I am actually rather involved in the tongue-in-cheek type of AcqInc humour and corporate world satire.
So far for us the humor is not as great as the first one. I didn't know what Acquisitions Incorporated was before the first game. I feel the humor is pulling more from the IP in this one and maybe people more invested in the IP will find it funnier. Still like the game.
I know I'm in the extreme minority, Clank Legacy 1 is probably my least favorite game ever. I'm a massive Clank fan, but the Legacy aspect added so much downtime during the game adding stickers and reading stories was awful. I tracked my time between turns. I was averaging 20+ minutes between my turns in a 4-player game. I hated it. I stopped about 5 games in and never returned to it. I like how other legacy games handle the "new things" between games and not between turns. Just added so much downtime.
Haha... Every one of my games of Clank Legacy 1 was 4 to 5 hours.
We played a bit co-opy and we wanted to get all the story/hidden things.

it’s really good at 2 player, maybe try that
@rawkyle9385 I appreciate the suggestion. It wasn't my copy, and the rest of the group finished the campaign.
