That little boy of yours is so smart and so is Oliver. Jim's speech is great. His parents are giving him a great education more than what he is getting right now hating school. 😃 Every day you are explaining something to him or showing him something like defrosting water. Many children in the US need to go to school for they are sitting in front of the TV or computer. I grew up like Jim in farm county in the Netherlands had to learn a new language at age 8 (no help) but still managed a National Merit all paid tuition for graduate school in Biometrics (biology and statistics) at Oregon State University.
Jim is some lad. I think he will go a long way. One thing I found with sheepdogs is that it doesn’t matter if they lie down as long as they stop, and “stand” worked better for me. One word that travels well, saves the human voice too. I found throwing a ball and getting them to stop in mid flight to retrieve when pups, set them up well for the real game. Sam I think you put your content together really well by the way.

I think Oliver has a great point, the inheritance tax issues are a red herring, there are far more issues that need dealing with right now for farmers. I’m no expert and you guys live this everyday but very few good news stories from farming are in mainstream news outlets stories which is interesting. Get Oliver on more, he always makes me laugh, just no nonsense, straight to the point type of guy. Sam, keep going strong, you are smashing this content.
Without you farmers the country would starve but not the pigs in Downing street. Oliver I agree you talk sense and Sam great interview from the shy man himself. Beautiful video you two honest truthful views. I would love to see the farmers strike because to be honest you should have the upper hand no turkeys for Christmas no veg fuck all. The people in this country would go mad. Farmers have too much respect for themselves they are working hard in the cold/rain and sunshine 365 days a year. Thank you Sam and Oliver we appreciate your hard work. Your animals look well cared for and your land is lush. Fantastic farmers.Stay safe in this challenging weather.
@Bernadette-ri6ng he does talk sense he's just telling you what people are already thinking 🤣emptying the shelves would be a great next step.thanks for the comment
Hi Sam, my friend has a riding school, and no indoor ring. She is out in all weather and swears by equestrian leather riding gloves to keep her hand warm. She washes them on her hands when they are mucky and dries them on a towel. She can tack up with them on, so hopefully, you would be able to do most things with them on. Also, my dad kept a ball in the water trough to keep it from freezing. Large enough so it can't be eaten, as it moved it stopped the surface freezing. Might be worth a try. Another great video, Oliver talks a lot of sense. Also, in four years things could all change. I worked in a bank in a farming community. A lot of the big farmers and estate holders were Conservative, as they were in the Conservative club with our manager. Also, the most expensive houses, ( so subject to the most inheritance tax) are usually in Conservative held areas. It might all change at the next election if the Conservatives get back in and listen to their members.
Hi Sam, enjoyed that tremendously . . . Oliver's just frustrated as he has yet come up with a solution..... Don't worry people are working on it .... 🙂 might be an idea to blank a bit more of your invoice content, don't want anybody using your account details. ... Take care
Hi Sam, most important... It has just come up on my news feed that a couple of guys had a number of sheep away from Bentham's auction yesterday without paying. . Some fiddle, either booked it to someone else account or used a stolen card. . Sure you will be able to find out what but be careful you work hard for your money and don't want someone else to have it. . 😊

I agree with Oliver 😳 👌🏼 You've also got to hope that it puts big money people off from buying up land so that the value of it falls, then there's less inheritance tax to pay, and more people can get into farming... Also, why not vegetable oil for the raddle, it will cause less harm to the willy if it accidentally gets on it (so I'm told) than motor oil...
That’s the problem a lot of farmers are ignoring, it’s the people who buy up thousands and thousands of acres of farmland for the only purpose of avoiding IHT that has caused this situation the farming industry finds itself in now, that’s just fact I’m afraid , in some area of southern England prime arable land is selling for £11k per acre plus !! 2022/23 seen a 4% increase ,any young person wanting to get into farming has no chance unless they have a lot of capital behind them , it’s sad but blame the very rich in society first before the politicians its them who have caused this situation.
