Yeah but it really does feel they target mercy more often which I think is due to the subconscious idea that mercy mains are defenseless which good Mercys aren’t since they are literally have movement of fighter jets and a decent damage pistol.
@@Lucarioux pretty sure it does the lowest DPS in the game.. wouldn't really consider it decent damage
@@ColtonForrestTeter decent enough if you can hit your shots and the enemy can’t. There were several times a flanking dps died to pistol in 1v1 because they don’t realize Mercy can deal enough damage. It’s not a lot but definitely enough. Heck Mercy literally got a buff to using pistol to defend. (Faster swap and 5 more ammo)
@@Lucarioux in quickplay I joined in a halfway finished capture the point game. I did a res, my teammate instantly got sniped, they said nice res sarcastically. There was no chance the team would win if I trickled in so I stayed there. The soldier that killed him ran up to where I was and I 1v1'd that sucker while not on full. Lost but that made it sting less.

My biggest advice is to get a team together. Literally 9/10 times a support is bad, it’s literally just because of their team. Good healing can’t erase dog sh1t dps or tank
Big tip for GA management for those who don't know: After using GA to fly upwards, try to cancel GA near the middle or end of its flightpath and let momentum do the rest! This will allow GA to go on cooldown earlier and help you gain more airtime!
Do you know how to cancel on a controller??

Dont think that, its likely due to your teammates not being able to capitalize on your support. As much you heal or damage boost, you cant really make plays unless they can also utilize your healing/damage boost.

Playing Mercy with a Lucio is one of my favorite things, especially when between the two of us we have a really good chance of hard stalling point in overtime or just when the enemy team throws out a couple ults.
I had a match with a Lucio where the enemy mei caught out our tank and dps’s with her ult and me and Lucio just kept them from being able to cap for almost a full minute while the rest of our team regrouped and killed them
"Don't selfishly take all the healing- your second support needs the heals to charge their ult." Not gonna lie I do try to be the one-man healer and never thought of letting the second support try to get some heals in.
Same but lately I have been better about that. Unless we have a dive team with like Ana and she is struggling to heal

@@cagxplays9602 By that logic, Reaper deserves to be punished for suboptimal play instead of being given an ult that he can just press a single button for, DVA shouldn't be given her ult that wipes out people in the vicinity, Soldier shouldn't be given aimbot, ...

You might try binding your crouch to another button! I have mine bound to one of the buttons on my mouse and it helps greatly. :)

switching to pistol is an interesting way to make sure you don't mess up your GA! It happens to me more often then I care to admit, and the speed buff on switching weapons makes it more viable
Never think I'll be inspired to try more Mercy. My mains healers are Lucio and then Zenyatta to tank enemies ults but watching you was pretty chill and nice, loved how you were flying around the map!

I don't understand why res gets so much hate. Mercy doesn't have much else to offer with her kit other than personal survivability and her hps is lower than all other main healers.
On a side note, that is some AMAZING movement. I hope to be as good as this one day!
This. I never understood why people complain, she literally is a selfish character aside from the ability to bring back someone back
I hate mercy rez because she literally does it in front of everyone and never gets punished, I also find it impossible to cancel the rez no matter what I do, and she's impossible to hit because her hitbox is so tiny, so she just brings back the tank and disappears into the sky for the rest of the game. I also hate the rez mechanic because I dont want to stand on a dead body for half the game, just to make sure they don't zombify back to life and goomba stomp my entire team out of existence.
Damage boost is so good what do you even mean res is the only thing she has to offer?

I hope that when the workshop is released so we can create custom games and what not we also get the feature of changing the guns, projectiles, and weapons etc. When I was still interested in the first Overwatch I was trying to make a mode where Mercy was a boss and she could shoot and summon lightning and all sorts of things. I especially miss the Weeping Angels custom game mode

Me, the tank in any game with a mercy that can fly and a team that wont die.
That’s something most mercy’s don’t realize, mercy can work with Lucio zen etc, but your going to have to heal more than damage beam during the team fight at times, and damage beam more during the poke stages of the fight and hope to get a lot of good picks early on. Where normally your damage to healing ratio in a good comp will be 60-40 towards the damage boost side in a low healing line up it will probably be more like 30 70 or 40 60 with you doing more healing than damage boosting at times but it all depends on how good the other healer is at support and the comp your running! :)

Ofcourse it is, if your good enough with her and stay alife most of the time, you will climb easy.
Mercy is viable in every rank, but it's good to be able to switch to a different healer if Mercy doesn't work out (aka you keep dying a shit ton or your team isn't meshing with your Mercy very well ). Having backups are good.
Switching to pistol to not mess up GA is a huge tip, thx! I know the rest tho..

How do you jump back so easily? I can only do that when i press shift and then immediately space then i bounce back a bit. I know nothing, don't I? :(
me watching in confusion cuz idk what ga and res is (though i’m assuming res is like resurrect, but i’m completely dumb on GA)
My big issue with playing mercy rn is being ok with not having top heals due to me damage boosting more. It feeds my ego when I have top stats so its a bit harder to kinda swallow my pride on that so I can actually provide my team with more damage output. Also for a while I was being very dumb with my movement because I was using the superjump as a position rather than a tool to get into position. Once I stopped doing that as much tho I ended up having a game where I had only 2 deaths (which was lowest deaths in the lobby. Second lowest being 5) and above 11k healing on a push map. Although I was being a bit of a healbot (had 68% heal beam and 32% damage) due to my team constantly being shredded by the enemy team's bastion and sombra. My poor dva was having issues staying in mech (they probably should've switched to sigma tbh).
Also does anyone else notice they win more often as a solo than with a group? I've noticed this happening with me and I'm not sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing. I mostly join group posts so it's probably because my social anxiety throws me off but I'm not so sure. I still play good enough I believe but I don't know if it's a me problem or a group problem?
You probably lose more with a group because you arent compiling a group of people that works well together composition wise. You might be a really good pharah player for example, but you're grouping up with people who are asscheeks at mercy, or only play bap. When you group, you're consistently playing with the same people with the same skill level and the same play styles, which if you're losing a lot, clearly aren't working. Queuing solo means that you're matching with complete randoms with different compositions and different skill levels and playstyles. There is also skill based matchmaking even in casual, so if you queued with a group, you're matching with people on their skill level just as much as your own. I would consider finding groups to play with through ranked, not through random posts where you could get any assortment of garbage players. (Or even really good players that are getting you into higher skilled lobbies where you just aren't as competent)

I'm screaming "GET THE REZ!!" at my phone every time bro. You need to focus on taking more risks rez your teammates sooner especially when there's ample time to do so. Also I've noticed you sometimes heal the tank when you should be healing a squishy and if the tank dies the just "GET THE REZ!!"

Is it possible to climb with mercy solo queueing? Recently I feel like it's just a 50/50 because no matter how good you are as mercy if your team is dog then there's literally nothing you can do
its possible but like you said its hard when ur team isnt good so i suggest maybe finding a decent duo you know you can depend on

How do you jump high into the air without having to look in the direction you want to go or at the ground and back jumping. I'm on ps5 and can't. If i want to go high I have to dock l flick up or flick down & back jump.
I don't know how it works on console, but if you press crouch at any time during her GA she will go straight up in the air according to how much meter she has
@Kirbygirl20 it's much harder to master the crouch jump on ps5. I have a hard time with it.

@M M I mean the way it was in OW 1. I didn't know it's different now. Found that out that can hit O in mid air and it works. It's not longer an L1 > O > X like it used to be
Switch jump to L2 and crouch on one of your analogs. To go up, either look up/down and press jump after using GA. You can also use crough to do a superjump

What a coincidence a sojourn on the enemy team was whining about our mercy pocket being boring earlier today. Possibly because they couldn’t hit a headshot now that the hitbox is only as big as a bus instead of a truck.
