- A couple of tips for the Scotch Quick Dry glue that we all love. If you don't like the new lid call Scotch and let them know. If enough of us call and let them know we don't like it maybe they will change it back. Their phone number is 1-800-328-6276. It is also on the bottle. Hope these tips will help you. Thanks for watching!

WOW! Great idea the sponge in the glass!!! Thanks for sharing GRAZIE CIAO Delia
Great tips, tfs. I felt the same way about the new bottle, I like the tiny tip much better and your idea of the damp sponge is really great. Patti
Thanks for the tips, I will be sure and save my lid. I also will try the sponge idea....Thanks again

Awesome tip, especially for those of us who have carpal tunnel or arthritis in our hands!! TFS, Carole
I love this glue also, and noticed the difference in the cap right away when I saw it on-line. I haven't needed to purchase new bottles yet, so I'm glad you posted your awesome tips. I sure WON'T throw away my old/current top! This is one of those times that crafters need to write to the company to express our displeasure at the change. If enough of us send letters, they may decide to go back to the 'tried and true' top. Anyway, TFS!
Great hints.
Great tips! TFS.
Great tips! Thank you so much. I have ben fighting with my glue bottle for the past week. LOL but really this is very helpful. Thank you!
Awesome tips thank you
great tips! i do not use this glue but i would let scotch know your feelings :) tfs, laura
One of my go to glues! I love it and glossy accents too. What a great idea for keeping it open when working. I am going to try that with my glossy accents too!! YES the new top is horrible and I had just thrown away my old one when I opened the new one & was able to pull the old lid out of the trash!! xoxo jonnie
Great idea to use damp sponge! Tfs :)
I found the same true about the new cap and also switched the lids. nI like your idea about the sponge in the glass. I have been keeping my bottle upside down in the old cap. Its always ready to go. Only bummer is when it tips over and rolls away sometimes...lol! Thanks for your help!
I also bought a new bottle of the Scotch glue (at Michael's) and noticed the same thing. Thanks for the suggestion to use my old lid. One thing that I do to try to keep the tip from clogging is to store the glue upside down when not in use. That seems to help quite a bit. Also when in use I put it in the clear plastic lid which keeps it from clogging while I am working on a project. I also keep my Glossy Accents upside down as well.
So right and I will!
Fantastic tips, thanks for sharing. Lee x
i bought a couple of bottles of this glue about a year or so ago and am just about to finish one bottle and wanted to replace it - i love, love, love this glue. it's probably my favorite craft glue for paper crafts. i recently saw a bottle at Target, I think, and thought the same thing - that it was smaller, so I didn't get it - wanted to get home and check the size of the ones i already have first. glad to hear they are the same size. i also noticed the weird looking new cap and i don't like it either - i love the upside down clear cap and the red thin hole cap. i do fight with the glue drying out and i am gonna try your idea with the sponge glass. thanks for the tips. i wish i could by this glue by the gallon - that's how much i love it.
Hi Rosie,
No this does not make the paper warp. It dries so fast it doesn't have time! I love it. It is one of my favorite glues. You should try it because you will be hooked. TFW!
Great tips, I didn't realize the cap would fit the new one. I agree I like the old top best. I also like the glue upside down so it is always ready, even when your getting low. Thanks again Teri
AWESOME tip about the sponge in the glass! I wish I had one of those old lids! But your tip will save the day! Thanks!!
Love the sponge tip, thanks for sharing , marina :))
I have never used this kind of glue. Does it make the paper warp? By the way... Great tips!
-I have never liked waiting for the white (or any other) glue to get to the tip of the bottle so a few years ago I thought if only it was already there. So I went to my recycling bin, found an empty (and clean) tin can, put the glue bottle in upside down and that was the end of that annoying problem. I then wondered why it had me so long to figure that one out. Now, on to the next annoying problem.
I think you are right. It is an awful lid and scotch needs to know. The glue is expensive enough as it is at 7.49. I wish I would have said something about calling Scotch and letting them know we don't care for it. I will post that in the description box. Thanks for your comment.
i dont like the new one either.
