Want to thank you! My right knee was replaced in February 2022 and left knee in June 2022,. I was in Therapy for 9 months, finally had my last test last week and I passed,. Now it's up to me, I can run a bit and after Thanksgiving I went on a hike close to Yosemite. As soon as it warms up I'm going to take up biking again with no pain this time. My knees do get cold, but i expected that.. I'm 63 and can't wait to get back into shape.. I saw your videos since March 2022 and I want to say Thank You!!!!

Which machine is best and how affordable is the machine? I just had my tkr for my left knee 2 months ago. Therapy was a short 3 weeks until I got 110 flexion. I'm still doing exercises myself. I am 69 and no other health issues.

I don't have a favorite unit that I recommend to folks... the price can range from about $80 to $175. Here is an affordable option on amazon: www.amazon.com/Balego-Digital-Neuromuscular-Stimulator-MT100I/dp/B07CVGN7MC/ref=sr_1_5?crid=2RS0KU0HN95EX&keywords=nmes+electrical+stimulation&qid=1671496218&sprefix=nmes+electrical+stimulation%2Caps%2C119&sr=8-5&ufe=app_do%3Aamzn1.fos.006c50ae-5d4c-4777-9bc0-4513d670b6bc and the pads that go with it: www.amazon.com/AUVON-Rectangular-Replacement-Performance-Electrotherapy/dp/B075732BLC/ref=pd_bxgy_img_sccl_1/145-6771849-6643315?pd_rd_w=5ZE2L&content-id=amzn1.sym.7f0cf323-50c6-49e3-b3f9-63546bb79c92&pf_rd_p=7f0cf323-50c6-49e3-b3f9-63546bb79c92&pf_rd_r=8VAVN3EFF0ATDSQG889A&pd_rd_wg=rrzQr&pd_rd_r=7aee88aa-2e4b-45d6-8866-088bba5ccad3&pd_rd_i=B075732BLC&psc=1

I am using a unit commonly found in physical therapy clinics. There are multiple portable units that are effective. I recommend consulting with your physical therapist regarding an option that is good for you.

With your past medical history the risk of complications or an unsuccessful knee replacement are increased. The surgeon may have felt the potential risks were greater than the potential benefits gained. Right now I would consult with a physical therapist to establish an exercise program that is safe and tolerable for you. Best wishes

Fair enough, as long as you’re also doing your exercises and keeping the knee and your body moving.
