Discordia is a very different style of game. I remember being very puzzled by it all on my first play. I didn't seem to be able to do anything, combos were hard to come back and turns seemed underwhelming. With more plays I got a lot better and began to understand how to make the engine work. Give it some time, I can imagine this leaving people cold on the first plays.
Discordia was a pleasant surprise after not having very high expectations. Been playing it solo on the app and it is a nice crunchy puzzle that I keep going back to.
Pronunciation tip for Wolfgang Kramer: Volfgang (V rather than W and o not oo) Cram-er, like when you try to cram a lot in a small space. Kram-er (rolling the R at the back of the throat for bonus extra correct pronunciation)
Nice selection - if you like the tactical puzzle of Donuts (although I prefer it as InSert, with the "unhealthy food theme removed" :) where the next move is based on where a prior move ended - I recommend "Katarenga" and "Kamisado". Separately, congrats on your evolution "in the extreme" into Abstracts :) - via the GIPF Series - I own them all - Yinsh & Dvonn are very good - I also enjoy Lyngk (more than fans of the Series) and Zèrtz (but Pünct the least).
Also a big fan of Discordia, I managed to get the expansion for it earlier this year. Iron Games have some interesting titles, Pandoria is a really interesting tile-laying, resource gathering, engine building game that is quite unique in it's player interaction. Worth looking out for if you can find it. Thanks for your reviews.
This version of Circus Flohcati is veeeeeery ugly. I bought the korean version on bgg, its very cheap. Fliptown is amazing. I always play with scoring objectives and player powers.
I agree - I have the Amigo version from the turn of the century - better cartoonish images, but nothing amazing. Perhaps, "Dead Man's Draw" (which I haven't played or own) provides better variety and game choices.
I absolutely love Discordia! ❤
I second that emotion!
Great mix of games that are completely new to me. Will be looking forward to your take on these.

Some of us will struggle with that to such an extent, the game may never be played :) - what is the priority?
