I know when I bought my setup the largest expense was the software to run the plotter, in the software there is import command to allow you to scan or import pics from other files up until now I have only cut stickers/decals. I think I may do the heat transfere, since it would be cheaper than a screen print set up. My main concern is durability of heat vs screen. I remember the "old" days of heat transfere.. no longevity.
@CADCUTDirect. ive been doing silkscreening for about 5 years now and have gotten very proficent and to me it just seems easy. i do alot of prep work even before getting orders, so it seems quick. however ive been flirting with the idea of buying a heatpress, plotter/vinyl cutter. my questions is does the plotter work with adobe photoshop?
They also dont mention, The one method where they print all colors on one white media is basically like an ink jet printer, the machine is more expensive as well as the ink usage. than just a vinyl cutter?plotter. you can also cut vinyl to make stickers/decals.
I DONT UNDERSTAND THIS; on one of the videos when the guy was making the bull's t shirt; a machine simply printed the design with different colours onto the transfer paper, another machine cut it, and then he simply heat pressed it, and it was done. But with this, it looks like you have to cut separate pieces of paper...so I'm confused. Or is this a whole different process? I really don't understand whats going on.
Hello I have a t-shirt printing shop and I've seen vinyl transfers peel at the edges after just one wash. Is this material any better or the same? Is there any peel off after several washes?
A cutter/Plotter is a cutter. I believe roland is the best but if your cutter is designed to cut vinyl it should work BUT my roland has different pressure settings for different Types of Vinyl Media so the blade doesnt cut through the backing
Hey Courtney great demo.. This is something that my wife and I are really interested in. I like the press and matte finish you use, but am uncertain which cutter we should go with. We would like a nice one, but I do not want to go too extreme being as I have never done this before. We are looking at doing shirts and vehicle decals. Do you have any suggestions on a starter cutter that would still do a nice job, but lower in price?
@ktekx I would sure hate to do 100 shirts that require 4 color plotting, weeding, and registration for each shirt. This method is suited for smaller orders.
Just finished comparing Premium Plus with Econo print, cutting the same design. Although Premium Plus is great weeding it was terrible, for all the same reasons that makes it a real good product is thin = means it can get tangled in ur cutter and it's stretchable which means = when weeding it will pull in the corners where ur blade ended. The job I did had quite some small details, but keep in mind my testing was on the same design. I just ordered Sport film and Fashion film, trying to keep one on the shelf of all colors. All this time I have been using Thermo film can't go wrong with that :) anyway I hope this helped.
Peel it Cold. Never Warm! (I use this every day..Love it) NOTE; It will Dye Migrate with some Reds. I have had NO Issue with Dye Migration with Black polyesters or sublimation products in Black. Just Reds/Maroons.
Did she really say a 4 color ceding in 20 seconds? This is misleading. The time she took to press is much longer than that and the total time to cut/press is even longer. Love Stahls and their products, but this is a tad misleading from a marketing perspective.
hi i make t shirts also, but i wanted 2 know how did u separate the 4 color design and cut the design evenly to make 1 perfect design???

It is a cool design and method, but it looks like a total ball buster for one t shirt!
Thank you for the awesome videos!

Can we print using solvent ink printer in the colored transfer paper that you are using ? Or we need to use different transfer paper for printing ?
the quality is good
That is a great looking heat press lol

Did u have to mirror the image when plotting?
@vo7tage yep, the cost trade off is between quantity and setup time.

@savagecat45 You're not using transfer vinyl for bulk. And screenprinting a 1-off shirt is taking longer and is more expensive than this.
@slandle Usually your supplier for transfer vinyl is selling them.
Where do you guy's guy the transfer paper (Supplier ?) - and why's the name of these papers?
Gret video :) - Keep it coming !!
good job.

what is that heat press covered with or decorated with??

The Silhouette Cameo. It's what I use and it works great!

Use normal vinyl and it'll work fine, like a sticker. I run a small decal business and I've done some custom stuff for a buddy of mine that skates.
How would you compare it to thermoflex plus?
Can you layer the premium plus film? I'm printing referee jerseys and they need a black name plate for the white lettering.
can you store the weeded vinyl designs? like a whole box full of the same design?
Where u get the heat press machine that have a design on top
How did that take 20 seconds?
can u tell which machine u r using
whtz the price
what kind of vinyl is that
What brand of this press and what value it. and if it has any resale in Brazil
Chloe Xu www.akad.com.br/equipamentos-e-solucoes/plotter-de-recorte-novacut/
i hope that won't easily tear off when the cloth is washed...
What kind of paper you are using?
which sheet your are using what is the name of the sheets can i know that please
Can I use ?Pigment ink Epson l1800 ?????head block problem face?
What software were you using?
what do you do when u have 10 000 t shirt to print, there is nothing better then silk screen.
this is good for very small quantity.
wherea i can buy , what name this material
como se llama el papel que usas para cubrir los estampados?
do you now nome material for textile vinyl? gr? can cut un versacamm?
how much cost of all machine?
@filipinostickers screen printing 1 shirt requires much more labor time and costs more because of setup time for the screen.
good for you
I would use this but i don't think it would work on skateboards lol
i cant get white premium plus to peal warm
Peel it Cold. Never Warm! (I use this every day..Love it)
NOTE;
It will Dye Migrate with some Reds.
I have had NO Issue with Dye Migration with Black polyesters or sublimation products in Black.
Just Reds/Maroons.
i just use it on tshirts, thanks for the info
im going to test it pealing cold with a tack, for laying
you have beautiful hands
thanks for watch
good infiration
what's the paper or roll name what they call it ? p;z
but ur wasting a lot of material. howm uch would that design cost?
the cost on one shirt is too much for a multicolor... just screen print it.
I'm pretty sure between the cutting and weeding then pressing she probably took atleast 10-15 min

This technique seems impractical for large volume screen printing.
I always thought u had to flip the image before you printed off on both vinyl and heat transfer pager ??
DO YOU SEE WHAT I SEE
+topsilog Yes I did
good but too slow system
20 seconds?!!!! lol
ohhhh cmon transfer paper and image much better then this
can you help me get contacts to get my store started thank you :)
not very precise
