About Dome Keeper:
Dome Keeper is a roguelike mining game, where you go on a run to strip multiple planets of their minerals, while the native creatures furiously try to stop you. They come in waves, so you have to carefully consider your mining activities to return just in time to defend you dome. Greed can be deadly, information a viable tool for survival. Powerful upgrades will help you stay alive and be productive until you can move on to the next world.
Choose a unique dome that will shape your run. Each dome has different weapons, abilities and upgrade paths, each bringing their own challenges along.

You probably don't read all of your comments but if you love efficiency then you should try frostpunk sometime. It's one of my favorite city building survivals.
Achieving efficiency is so hard in that game with the circular layout.
I've commented smth similar almost a yr ago, let's hope yours pops up more! 🙃
Also in that game there's a scenario where you can segregate engineers from regular workers, just to bait mr RCE to give the game a try ;)
@@brigidtheirish true it is harder to be efficient which is part of the fun. Thoug the other harder thing is that the game doesn't have many buildings in the perfect shape.
@@elijahtstroh Yeah. Everything is so fiddly. And then you get things like the field kitchen that are just *impossible* to place efficiently.

aye, more and more hitpoints added to tank the increasing damage but almost nothing to kill the enemies that were dishing it out.
the bomb adding significantly to his one good attacks recharge didn't help either. In the current version it seems like an objective downgrade over the spam-pierce-for-days variant

@@IRMentat Honestly, that's kind of the issue I'm immediately starting to see after playing for 4 hours today. Of course, still very early into it, but it feels like the game is almost too much of a resource / time scramble to really be fun. Sometimes you'll get really unlucky and find no resources where you choose to dig, and it basically ends your run. Not to mention how expensive the later upgrades are. And most of the upgrades feel so bad that it feels pointless to get them. They sound really good on paper, like "oh wow! I got a resource elevator that will ferry resources for me!" Or "Oh, now I can teleport anywhere I want!" Until you realize that both of them are so restricted in their use it almost feels like they're not even there. To me, it feels like anti-fun design. But that's just my thoughts. I do quite enjoy it for what it is though. The atmosphere and polish are exceptionally well done.
@@IRMentat It's really only good for those LARGE monsters otherwise it's not worth it.
@@LunarUmi The lift is my favorite mining gadget in the game. Not only do you only really have to upgrade your carry size by just one, but you can find a large amount, quickly bring them all to the lift, then forget about them as they shall all get collected. You can even upgrade your lift so that you go super fast up it.
As for the teleporter, two upgrades makes it able to never have to do a full run again as you can just teleport to it, mine, gather all resources by it (or take it to the resources), then teleport back to defend.
I was shocked when he just went for the two Colberts instead of the lift or the condenser. If you have an overcharge ability, the condenser guarantees that you can overcharge every other wave.

Blast mining was the best upgrade. You can dig straight down and get to the bottom in only a few rounds, plus you get a ton of resources along the way. Add that to the elevator and you never need to pay for drill or carry upgrades.
Lift would be better considering he has got the teleporter. Just tellort up last second

I'm only slightly triggered he didn't spend the water to upgrade the prestige... like come on matt, it's the one resource you can hardly spent anyway xD

@@brodiesaltsman2842 That as well - he tunnel-visioned on the bomb for offensive upgrades and went almost full eco for the rest.
@@Shuizid it's his major flaw. He always looses because of it and I wonder how he managed to became engineer.
@@worldspam5682 Dude is smart - plays at least 2 instruments and clearly has a passion for engineering, just not so much the actual dayjob.
He has his flaws but it's not sufficient to say he couldn't become an engineer. And I'm not sure, but I think tunnel-vision aka "focusing on something so hard you forget the surroundings" is a sign of intelligence. But don't quote me on that.
@@Shuizid I think tunnel vision could be good on a big scale like whole project, but here he just saying that his sword is weak and proceeds to upgrade not essential things. It's like planning road scheme but working only on sidewalks. I just saw that in every his video where you need to plan something in game. Hope this awkward thing didn't disturb his real work.
As other comment said I want to see him playing some challenging game like Frostpunk where you need to plan your progress.
As a minecraft veteran i'm willing to share a more efficient way to dig. Basically you can dig with a distance of 3 layers not 2 and poke a hole every other block, in this way by poking the hole you can see the remain part of the mid layer.

Little secret, the one that i described is not even the final form aha is the easiest to perform in this game (IMHO)

Dome-romantic sorry Dome keeper is for me the best series ever by Matt, cause not only we get to see him be efficient but also at the same time create complete chaos cause he greedily waited till last moments to pick stuffs up all by himself, not listening to his characters carry strength
I want to see the new version of the elevator! You didn’t upgrade it last time and it was definitely like, the biggest helpful tool in the prerelease
It's all about the synergies, One way portal plus lift is really strong, you invest in lift speed and use the teleport to go down.
You know you can kill the flyers while they're still out of phase with the sword, right? You don't have to wait for them to attack. In fact you've done it several times in this video by accident.
That is definitely not true. At the end you can see him go right through them.
There is a period during the in and out transition that they are still hittable, but you can hit them when they are totally phased out.

So when I seen that you uploaded another video of this...I was like "Yesssss!!!!!"
The +300hp adds to your current HP state so upgrading when you have 1 hp only results in 301hp but when bought on full hp like 200 you will end up with 500 (you can see the bar grow) so it's better to buy it when you are full health
It's not, obviously says it also repairs 100%
First off, in the scenario you posted, it literally makes no difference, since he gains 300 HP either way, the 200 HP buffer in the second case is what he already had? If he wouldn't have bought the upgrade in the first case on the other hand, he would have literally lost the game since he only has 1 HP, so this is terrible advice
Secondly, THIS IS JUST WRONG. The upgrade says it FULLY repairs your dome, so it's better to do it at low health 🤦♂🤦♂🤦♂🤦♂🤦♂

You should do subnautica, it’s a great engineering game. You can even do the most efficient shapes

How d'ya not picking the lift? It's the most useful upgrade ever, sparing you so much time of going up and down, and resources on the carry load upgrades.

yeah, I'm probably about to buy this game, now that it's finally out. I still seem to buy just about every game you try lol. but you pick decent indie games, which is what I'm into most of the time

The seed uses the size of the landmass it attaches to, but needs enough space to grow branches above it as well...It produces iron the more space it has and more land it has to grow roots into.
Have you grown it large? What's a good amount of soil blocks for it?
