Mirko is by-far the best rabbit-based character design & portrayal in my book. I wouldn't necessarily say that she has a super high pain tolerance. Both house rabbits & wild rabbits, when sick or injured, will mask that there is something wrong with them by continuing to seemingly behave "normally". (This sucks for rabbit owners, as this can often be to their very detriment and fatal.) Wild rabbits will essentially make themselves walk/hop normally on broken limbs to hide the injury; house rabbits will often do the same. They generally won't show signs of ailment/injury until it absolutely cannot be hidden anymore.
This can apply to Mirko regarding her injuries during her fight in the morgue against the Nomus. Internally, she knew she was messed up already but she wasn't going to openly express it. Then there was when Endeavor finally made it to her. It was only then we see her not barely able to stand. (With house rabbits, this would be when some rabbit owners would find out their pet is sick or really hurt. In the case of actual rabbits, this is usually the point of no return for the pet.)
The way Mirko is portrayed & how well the author was able to tie in multiple key aspects of rabbit behavior often totally overlooked in a rabbit-based character design... It just.. I got soooo pumped. She really became one of my favorites out of the pros. As someone who came to love rabbits & had them for over 10 years, I'm loooooving it.

I'll add to this: I've owned a rabbit as a pet for 5 years, which has grown so attached to me that it considers me part of a 2-man herd. I can even pick him up.
Despite that beyond-logical level of trust, he will *still* hide any sign of weakness in any fashion. What's important though, is that Rabbits are *prey* animals. That flips the table on what an animal evolves to be. Rabbits have strong teamwork and social hierarchy. Their mobility is similar to a cat, but trades agility for higher speed and mobility at those speeds.
MHA' author must have owned or known someone that owned a rabbit - Mirko' portrayal, but Koji Koda also had a pet rabbit with suspiciously specific supplies.
@@nivyanI'd like to assume Horikoshi either owned or knew someone well-verse in rabbit behavior and such... Just because the characteristics Mirko showcased are something I still firmly believe get overlooked constantly when it comes to rabbit-based character design. That, or he just did his damn homework on it. But there's also the real possibility that it's just really awesome coincidence for rabbit lovers & owners. Lol 😅
I just re-watched her fight sequences, and it's still insanely satisfying to see a rabbit-based character like Mirko not be a glass cannon or frail little thing.
(There's also the fact that female rabbits can actually be way more aggressive than males, too. Like Mirko knowing there was a threat and being like "nah, I'ma try taking out the threat before it becomes a real threat".)
Pretty sure that All For One didn't take Best Jeanist's quirk because he actually acknownlaged that It was Best Jeanist that made the Quirk bad ass and not the other way around. Main villian over hear putting respect on his name bay saying your quirk is actually pretty lame, you're just a badass.
Ngl true. No doubt AFO has restraining type quirks already and Best Jeanist's quirk is decently versatile but lacks strength and requires clothing.
I do think he should've taken Best Jeanist's quirk though, since he's a really strong hero and taking away his quirk would've been benefitial in future battled by simply nerfing a really strong enemy.
Yeah he absolutely just acknowledged that the quirk is only powerful in the hands of someone who's taken the time to master and perfect it, as well as figure out creative/innovative ways to use it effectively. Pretty cool.
At least twice has it been stated that AFO takes easy to use quirks for himself. Why waste time practice something hard when you can just upgrade yourself instead?
In the case of Best Jeanist, that quirk is hard to use.

I loved that Endevor vs hood fight, I think it showed the clear difference in power between all might and the rest of the heroes while letting us know the threat that was coming up.

Can't lie Endeavor and hood fight to this day is the only fight to have ever given me goosebumps. Even among the movies
Hot take, Endeavors fight vs. Hood was a better fight in EVERY way (mostly narratively, overarching, and character development) than any of All Mights fights, even vs. All for One. Change my mind.

I think it’s notable that the number 12 and 13 heroes are both mutant types. And it’s been explicitly said that Gang Orca is high on the list of “heroes who look like villains”. So for him to be so highly ranked even considering his probable lack of popularity. I expect that he and Shishido have powers more akin to Ryukyu and maybe even as high as Miruko. But they merely lack in ranking due to lack of popularity.

I think edgeshot has the potential to be number one. His quirk is so overpowered im sure he could even pierce macias skin if he were to transform thin enough. It's a shame he gets so little attention

Mirko is without a doubt my favourite ever since she debuted.
Watching Endeavor vs Shigaraki is nuts because they say Shigaraki isn't quite at prime All Might level. Yet Endeavor is doing everything just to keep up with him. Just shows difference in power level between the number one and number two hero back then

Endeavor is an interesting character to me. I surely can't forgive him for what he did to Shoto and company, but i can admire him for wanting desperately to try and make up for it
Not a good dad but he's a great hero. Which sucks for his family but you should always try to rebuild bridges burned.
And I'll say this you couldn't be a good hero till you started to heal those bridges, arguably.
And that’s the beauty of his character

@@festral7509 Classic rabbit behavior. Another comment goes further into it, but an I'll or injured rabbit will typically act as if nothing is the matter or wrong, going as far as to hop normally on their broken legs no matter how much it hurts. I assume it's something ingrained into them to protect them from being singled out by predators. Either way, it's a cool little aspect of rabbit behavior that often goes ignored by other rabbit themed characters in anime.
Could you do a ranking on the class 1-a heroes in the manga currently, just want to see where they all stand, and it would be a very interesting video aswell

It bothers me that in most things where people have Ice powers, they are usually overlooked. Ice powers are super strong because you aren
't creating cold or even ice. You're literally removing energy from the atmosphere and thats pretty strong. hopefully They continue to do Todoroki justice in the show with his ice half of his powers more than just cooling him off.

I agree with the list, I would just add Kamui doesn't seem to be made of wood. His outfit is described as wooden shoes, wooden belt and helmet. It didn't mention his arms but presumably they are removable as well. He's also shown to have leafy hair

Hey nick! So i've always wondered something about best jeanist and that is: Since hair is technically a fiber (as wool is hair and he can control that) shouldn't he he be able to control his enemy's hair? Could be useful. In an extreme case i can see him rapidly swinging their head to break their neck.

best jeanist can control any fiber, not just clothes's fibers. that means he can also control really strong fiber that is made of like, steel, for example.

You’re wrong about one thing regarding Best Jeanist. The misconception is that he can ONLY manipulate jeans. However, his quirk Fiber Master allows him to manipulate the fibers of all kinds. Jeans just happens to be the easiest clothing fiber to control for him.
Fun fact the best Jeanist award is actually a real thing in Japan

In my opinion, I would change the top four Pro Heroes in terms of who would in a fight strictly ( and to be fair to them, everyone will be at the peaks that we've seen in the series ):
#4 --- Hawks ( While he is incredibly intelligent and versatile with his Fierce Wings... All of the other characters have counters to Hawks. Plus, his power is ranked as a C, and a B- in the wiki, which is lower than everyone else. While he is INSANELY fast, once again, Edgeshot should be able to keep up with him since he also has an S in speed, and Best Jeanist just restrains him with his clothes, while Endeavor just burns him with an AOE fire-based attack )
#3 --- Best Jeanist ( Fiber Master would allow him to restrain Hawks even if he is faster than him, and one of his fibers could very easily just pierce Hawks' neck and knock him unconscious )
#2 --- Edgeshot ( His Quirk would allow him to flatten his body to escape from Fiber Master, and he would be able to keep up with Hawks in speed. He can simply just pierce their bodies, disable their organs or circulatory system, and he wins )
#1 --- Endeavor ( Prominence Burn ggs )

It sounds dumb but jeans are a very strong material, best jeanist isn't a completely useless ability. Construction workers and laborers wear them because it's hard to set on fire, thick to puncture and cut along with insulation. There is a reason why jeans are a huge part of American culture in the "golden age".

im glad you spoke on the topic of hero rankings more in depth because I always had that question when I read or watch MHA & that is does the top 10 hero’s in there verse make them the top 10 strongest ? They never really got into that but after reading current manga I knew yeah this might just be a popularity list than a actual strength list

Always assumed mirko was named for mirko cro cop (famous kickboxer) because she fights primarily with kicks. It might have nothing to do with that but if it is I always thought it was a nice nod to a legend
Anime only:
I wouldn't call Endeavor particularly abusive, more neglectful, didn't really see any scenes of him actually verbally abusing or attacking his children. He actually seemed like he cared about his children alot, they had everything they could ask for except interaction with their father, toya just wanted more than that and got starved for attention and endeavor didn't know how to stop him from hurting himself without breaking his dream
Here's the thing. The anime does show him more explicitly abusive than the manga in the flashbacks. The problem is, the anime is irrelevant, the manga is the canon media. And Endeavor, while you could make the case for him being abusive, was not particularly horrible when compared to nearly any other "bad anime dad" or even "bad dad" from all of fiction. Take someone like Omni-Man and tell me Endeavor is worse. Or, hell, why not, Kratos. He literally killed his own family (including all the gods and titans, his wife and daughter don't count in this case as he did not do that willingly and knowingly).
