- sorry for the few clips where the first few words didn't make it in, that's my bad recording skills and it's not disruptive enough i feel to warrant spending a lot more time fixing it! i included some companion comments that i had saved also bc wow cute!!
final scene with him before elgar'nan i forgot to get the first bit, but oh well this video can't include every single lucanis line either! so the romance part it is!
also my rook says she likes tea in the beginning, and then lucanis brings her coffee later and says it's her favourite..... oops... that's because i rerecorded that part later and tried another option and didn't think far enough ahead that it would not match the later scene then LMAO

My rook is an Antivan Crow, her name is Sofia De Riva, she is a Mage and Spellblade!
Sorry, but I will not be sharing her sliders.

“a dellamorte never kneels”
meanwhile, lucanis kneels for rook in his love scene 😭
Not as meaningful as you are making it out to be. Mobsters are not supposed to kneel in defeat or in front of their enemies. That kind of thing. Kneeling before your love in an intimate situation is a completely different thing that has a completely different meaning.
@ the fun police is here to yap us into oblivion
37:59 "This isn't a good idea".
No, this is a good idea. A great idea. The best idea. Is it hot in here?
31:26 that growl as he says "Rook" just does something for me.
Same! I made sure to include in my fanfic too! 😂
Your character looks pretty good. Excellent job on her.
Viago's comments during Illario fight are everything. He's such a big brother to Crow Rook 💕
That was genuinely cute x3
I loved that commentary.
Viago is my boi! Best NPC in the game.
Meanwhile Teia yelling at you to kick Illario's traitorous arse
38:00 is the sexiest scene BioWare has ever done, and they don't even kiss! I like to think Spite was acting a fool and that's why he stopped.
my heart was beating so fast at that part
You're right. just wish there was a follow up scene... Where we talk about what happened.
“ Are you going to EART HER?? LUCANIS LET ME HAVE A BITE OF ROOK TOO" lolol
Why no mentions of Zev? so many of us really wanted that or hope for cameo
I have not finished the romance yet, just came here to experience it once more (won't spoiler myself with the rest of the romance)... but damn this part was already everything I needed.
“Shall we make a discreet exit? 😀” made me laugh. He sounds so giddy lol
Finally. I needed that, thank you!!!
Bravo! This is the best Lucanis Romance video!
Finally someone who drinks tea! 😉🤣 Thanks for the video 😊
But dessert is for coffee 😅 So my search continues 😅😅😅
i'm searching the exact same thing xDDD
@shanarihn5810 no one drinks tea😅😅😅
@@sapkowska i didn't find any video yet! so sad, that would be my first option xDDD
@@sapkowska i find the dessert!! its tarta de limon / lemon pie. My favourite xDDD.
Go tea team!
@shanarihn5810 Oh, thank you so much for letting me know ☺️☺️☺️
Somebody mentioned how for the scene at 53:54 you should select another drink on the café scene so that when he makes it it actually feels special. Since Lucanis always drinks coffee, him making chocolate or tea at least changes the dessert AND it’s YOUR favourite drink not just his. More special!
@@iAmAurelie honestly all of the options are so much fun! just did hot chocolate for the first time today and him joking about how he used to love it ~as a child~ made me laugh so hard!! he's so sweet🥹🫶 and yeah the different desserts is such a nice detail!
@@hea6399 It's extra cute because there's banter where it's mentioned that he learned to cook when he was young because he wanted to know how to make Churros - Rook's favorite drink is one of his childhood favorites, so he paired it with his childhood favorite dessert.
44:19 the references to dao and inquisition 😂
Yes 😂
Mouse was the circle in Origin, right? What was it about spiders?
@@steffent.6477 The Inquisitor is being chased by fearlings in the shape of Spiders when they initially escape the Fade in that cinematic after character creation, and you actually fight them later on when you physically re-enter the Fade in Here Lies The Abyss
Notice Zara called Illario Amatus. Thats the same pet name Dorian calls the male inquisitor when romanced or Iron Bull when he romances him
AMATUS is Latein... it means " the loved man"
I called him as the bad guy way early.
This really isn't as terrible of a romance as people make it out to be. Yes, it could be better but there's some really good tension in some interactions.
his accent is making me miss Zevran 🥰🥰
His voice make my heart flutter 😂🎉
Miss boiii!
He reminds me of zev
44:18 I love the nod to the Harrowing from DA:O and that every previous version of DA had giant spiders to fight. I kinda miss the giant spiders. Imagine the horrors Ghilan’nain would have unleashed with giant blighted spiders. I bet she’d have given them wings.
Its the look after Rook asked "How long were we standing there" Im cackling
Thank you so much!
Spite breaking the 4th wall on that bit that starts at 43:20; Mouse the Pride Demon and then Fear's "You See What You're Most Scared Of" But Mostly Spider Army. 🤣😂🤣
Whoo that sexy scene with the wings!! Definitely sticking with Lucanis.
58:17 Michael, is that you?
Perfect moonwalk. 😂
Lucanis cousin sound Jzargo from skyrim
The WINGS!!
When I play this I am going to romance Lucanis. Thank you for this.
Try not to take Neve around with you if you do! It’ll only hurt more hahaha
I will try not to take Neve around with me. I was thinking of taking Emmrich. They have funny banter together.
omg your rook is so pretty what were the sliders in CC
Rook looks so pretty! Can you make a video of her appearance settings? Pleeeease 🥺🥰
I chose to save Minrathous and automatically Lucanis imprisons Illario
Don’t be shy post ur rooks sliders
Don't get me wrong the romance is goood with my boy Lucanis. But after BG3 this feels... inadequate to say at least. I hope they fix this with a patch or DLC.
They confirmed no Dlc for this game
Pairs well with Coffee?
Is this a bug? I thought your Rook liked Tea?
I REALLY like the szene in Rooks room when he shields Rook with his wings
That's so awesome
and I Totally agree with Taash! He really should take Rook flying
@@nayriacadera6048 lmao no it's on me! the coffee clip is from my original playthrough, the tea is from a replay where i wanted to see what he said if she said tea😭😭
@@hea6399 I was SO looking forward what he would make then TT-TT
I got so exited when you chose tea

@@nayriacadera6048shskksks sorry 😭😭
@@nayriacadera6048It's lemon tart 🥰
@@amv_lemons Thank you !
And OMG; I love lemon tart! (and Tea)
The problem with all tjose companions being so attractive? I kinda NEED to re-play the game until I've romanced everyone I adore
which would be more ironic? A Crow thats a dwarf or one thats Qunari?
Does anyone else get a Venom vibe from Spite 😅?
If you squint hard, you might see a Dalmascan resistance leader 😂
im drawing your Rook x Lucanis because thats sooo cute
@@i-norami aww! i'd love to see it!☺️
What's preventing me from buying this is that it feels too removed from the rest of the franchise when it isn't supposed to be. They could've utilized the keep.
They screwed some of the lore and there's no mention of anything from the 1st 2 games and almost nothing from inquisition beyond the inquisitor. I played it. There were a few good scenes but there are no true choices. Every dialogue option is a variation of the same exact thing.
Maybe you could watch a playthrough , i feel like you would enjoy it more this way.
Same, and antivans shld mention zev :(
@@Fenrispro They do a few times. I don't remember the exact conversation but Lucanis says the Crows don't take contracts in Ferelden anymore because of what happened iin DAO. Also later they mention that house Arainai makes trouble in every house meeting.
@@theesper7404 My brother in christ it's been 20+ years in game since the first game and 10 since inquisition, you want random people going around parroting on how grateful they are someone saved some werewolves or whatever? There's a world ending event going on and people still hammering on how they want choices that don't even matter on the part of the world the game takes place to be mentioned. Also no true choices? Two cities can get completely fucked depending on what you pick with vendors and important story characters dying or getting hurt or comps getting hardened? Did you actually "play" for more than 2 hours?
Lucanis is by far my favorite romance interest in the game (which I haven't played yet), but I can't make sense of some of the scenes in this video (NO hate towards hea, thank you for uploading!). Help me pls?
1) 43:00 why is this sequence included at this point in the game? You are literally in the middle of a conversation. Why not place this sequence at the Lighthouse where it's just Rook and Lucanis?
2) 52:00 English is not my first language, but the way Google translate translated "Spite" is "ill will". If I take this into consideration, the contract between him and Lucanis doesn't make sense to me because it seems like Spite is helping Lucanis (which is opposite to his nature). Also, what does Spite get out of the deal? He's Spite, not Murder.
3) 1:05:00 umm, what? You guys are assassins, no? Why isn't unaliving the traitor assassin an option?
That's all the things I didn't quite understand, so let's move onto what I like about the romance
1) Lucanis has a killer aesthetic (pun intended). I just love how he looks and his accent is adorable.
2) 38:00 omg, sir, you have no right being this smooth (but please continue).
3) He's so caring. He buys stuff for the team and he pays special attention to you (favorite drink and all).
4) 1:08:22 the following sequence is just adorable. His face when Rook jokes about him having coffee with his inner demon is just perfect.
5) 1:14:00 he looks so shaken up it shattered a piece of my heart. Hasn't the poor guy been through enough?!
6) 1:13:30 this entire sequence is peak. I loved how Rook questioned whether or not she got out of the Fade and how Lucanis comforted her by saying "You're here. You're really here."
Thank you for coming to my TED talk (and please be nice :) )
hi thanks for watching! 😄
I don't have any good reason for that fade scene being in the middle of that conversation other than it's very funny when they snap out of it in front of Teia and Viago hahaha.
In terms of Spite- I think the relationship between a demon/spirit and their host is ??? lore wise. Honestly no one knows what's going on. I think though that the only way for both Lucanis and Spite to get what they want they needed something to agree on, and in this case my Rook suggested saving Caterina. I get what you mean about all of this doesn't seem very "spiteful" though lol. I'm assuming they affect each other, and Lucanis' love for his family (and Rook🤭) influences Spite. Maybe kind if inspires Spite to become more like whatever type of spirit it was before. But again, who knows lol this is just me speculating.
Lastly, I don't know why that wasn't an option but I feel like Lucanis would disapprove and not want to do it if you suggested it. Illario is the closest thing he had to a brother, and besides him Caterina is his only family. He probably would never agree to anything worse than imprisoning him because of that. The crows are generally "softer" in this game than before too; like it's been 20 years since Origins and in addition there has probably been a shift within due to the events of the short story from Tevinter Nights where 4/8 talons were murdered.
I picked not imprisoning Illario because I read his and Lucanis' story from there too and have a soft spot for him🤪 And as Lucanis said, there's "nowhere he could go to outrun being a traitor crow, brought down in front of everyone" ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
@hea6399 Thanks for the explanation! 🤍
Spite is the opposite of Determination. If you played DA2, Anders does a good job explaining how spirits embody virtues but going against their nature turns them into the vice. So wisdom can become pride and justice became vengeance.
Ok so does it take awhile to get Lucanis to romance you back? I've been doing flirt options, taking him on missions, saved Treviso. But I can't seem to talk to him personally and I'm pretty well into the game... Did I do something ?
@@vanessapollard2485 You don't lock in or officially start romances until like mid-way through the game at least (a mission or two after weisshaupt i believe). As long as you check if he has something to say between every main mission and lucanis' quests you shouldn't be missing anything😊
Also you can't just go up and talk to them whenever in this game, similarly to da2. You can only talk to them when they have something to say, indicated by a visible marker on their icon on the map (the lantern outside their rooms also lights up).
At the first try I did something wrong Because at the final mission a couldn't talk to Lucasnis anymore it was after we found Zara I hope now with your video I know what to do and thank you 🤗👍🏻
Why is he so hot 🥵🔥
His an Antivan Crow like Zevran (except from a different house), like romancing Antonio Banderas.
The bad thing about this romance is Neve and Lucanis interactions, they start flirting all the time after the atack of corrupt dragons, even if you take a romance with any of them. Its to awkward.
I see people saying this but I haven't heard any dialogue like that and I'm confused if I've missed it or if I just see their interactions as flirtatious. They are sarcastic and playful but that's just neve's personality and Lucanis is curious and sweet to all characters.
@@siobhanhenry9094 It happens a lot if you have them both constantly in the party, when you return to the lighthouse you can see them together many more times than usual and they say things more and more insinuated.
The same goes for Taash and Harding even if you are making progress with one of them. Harding flirts a lot with Taash. Taash also likes Harding and eventually asks you for advice on how to court her.
That dynamic only happens in those two couples. But it is a little awkward if you want to have a romance with one of them to see them trying with someone else.
The personality type of the characters greatly influences the way they flirt with others. You may not perceive it as flirting in your mind. You have to understand the way a character behaves to realize the intention of their comment.
@@siobhanhenry9094 my thoughts exactly! i'm doing an emmrich romance at the moment, and other than lucanis making neve's favourite dessert at one point there's barely anything romantic between them. their banter (thus far for me, at least) can easily be seen as just platonic.
@@hea6399 I watched a video of all their banter and I found that dessert line was sort of sweet but could just be kind and one other line where Lucanis says Neve was in his head when you do the spite thing and ends it with something like "that's not the only time I think of you" and that was it. That was near end game if neither were romanced by rook too. So I'm just confused. That's a whole two dialogues which i think both don't happen if you romance either of them lol
@@siobhanhenry9094 they flirt almost constantly if you take them on missions together lol
i did not save treviso tha means i cant romance with luvanic?
You can't romance him if you don't help Treviso

Watching their awkward poses makes me want to learn 3D animation and remake the entire game 😂
Right! 😅
The fact they just started awkwardly at each other and he DIDN’T lean down to kiss her forehead during the cafe scene with spite is literally a crime
I feel like that with every romance. "Why didn't they make him hold her hand? Why didn't they place them closer when they kiss? Why doesn't he stroke her cheek right there? Why isn't he looking at her" Lol I know just how to make this game perfect, I just don't have the actual skills
Which armor is that??
@@MegWelter which one? the last one is plumage of the mad crow. i also used executioners mantle (crow mage armor) a lot, and another of the crow armors from the crow vendor that i don't remember the name of. the very beginning is the deluxe armor! ☺️
They can complain about this game all they want but the romances are done well again.
You clearly haven't watched the others if you think this one is more than medium.
@cairrean2412 I have and played the older games.
planning on doing this romance next so far ive done Davrin and Harding sucks i have to let tevinter go to hell if i want to romance lucanis what where they thinking
I do not dislike Lucanis...which is a great compliment from me because I cannot stand every other companion in The Veilguard, except for Emmrich. However we've already had a Crow join our party once 20 years ago. An elven one. A better one. Name was Zevran. Lucanis does not hold up next to Zevran. Not even close. So Lucanis gives me very "meh...had it before; enjoyed it better" kind of vibes. Still, he is the second best companion we get in the Veilguard.
I actually disliked Zevran. Found him smarmy. Lucanis is genuine.
Lucanis is a chad.
@ As genuine as the leader of the Treviso Mafia can be . . . yeah, I would not use the word "genuine" to describe either of them. But especially one as high ranking as Lucanis. Also his whole demon thing completely fell flat, made no sense, was poorly executed. We also had a character before who was possessed by a demon. HIs name was Anders. He also did it much better than Lucanis.
@ Anders is a mage. I’m positing it works a bit differently. Also Anders was incredibly angry and that affected Justice. Lucanis always was a genuine, sensitive person who happened to be born into the Crows. Zevran was too smarmy. I never knew whether his flirts with the Warden had ulterior motives.
@@francescalee2497 Again, if you think mobsters can be genuine, that must mean you have never actually met one. I come from a whole family of them, and trust me, there is nothing genuine about anyone who chooses to follow that lifestyle. And sensitive?! Nobody can be a professional contract killer and be sensitive. That totally goes against the job description. It seems like you are romanticising that type of life. The writers also did to some extent, and that is disgusting. Zevran never romanticised what he did for a living. And I highly respect that. And you are absolutely correct about Lucanis not being a mage and that is a problem with the whole demon thing. It makes no sense. The writers never even tried to make it make sense. Everything about it was so poorly written, and honestly very poorly voice acted by the demon itself, that it is cartoonish, at best. I cut the Lucanis character some slack because A) The Dellamorte household does remind me very much of many family members and B) Lucanis' writer was sacked in the middle of production so they had to scramble to finish his arc. We were also supposed to get a gondola date with him that we never got because of this.
The characters look like ps2 with hair mods
Nothing like the PS2.
Can you share your cc sliders? Im trying to recreate your Rook but I can’t seem to get it quite right🥲
