@@tajwarchowdhury22no, I felt very painful at the moment the rubber band hits it (4 times - 2 bands) the sound still in my mind, after that it was quite painful, I have feeling want to go pee but can't pee. Day after, no more pain (1/10). I hope I don't need to do second time (20% of patients need to do it according to the surgeon 👨⚕️)
SOOO glad I watched this because he is describing exactly what I have currently. Had the banding done about two weeks ago and today when using the bathroom I was bleeding like crazy and so I got concerned. It appears that the bands may have come off and now I have that wound and there looked to be a clot. Anyway thanks for the video Doc! It eased my nerves and mind.
This really made me feel at ease. My doctor did not prepare me for this. Extremely painful until the Tylenol kicked in. Still on day one and really looking forward to the pain subsiding in the next few days. Very excited to hear in some of the comments that it fixed the problem. I was losing so much blood in the past 2 years that I ended up needing multiple blood transfusions and iron infusions. My hemoglobin got down to 51 and I never want to experience that again. I will deal with 6 weeks of discomfort if it means that this will finally be a thing of the past.
i had banding done in April last year. It was mostly pain free I felt a bit uncomfortable for a day but that is it. I had 3 done one at a time. He did he procedure on a Tuesday the hemorrhoid fell off on Thursday. This has changed my life for the better. I should have done it years ago. If you have pain with this procedure your Doctor is not doing it properly go to someone else.
I had a great doctor he did one at a time I had 3. It was basically pain free. he did the banding on a Tuesday and the hemorrhoids came off on a Thursday . He did one per week.
I have 3 grade 3 hemorrhoids, I had them banded (at the doctor’s discretion) and will need a few more banding treatments again after I heal. The first day was about a 3/10 on the pain scale. I took Advil and had virtually no pain after that. After the bands did their job though, I had a major flare up and it’s never hurt this bad before (going to the bathroom) and so I am hoping my hemorrhoids heal and go back to their normal state. I eat extremely healthy foods and use soluble Organic Psyllium Husk (none of the Metamucil garbage with artificial colorings and sugars). Keep strong my friends!
Hello. Just was wondering if you had any updates? Has the banding worked for you? I had the surgery in 2018 and I've gotten some back that tend to flare up at least once a month. I also use the organic psyllium husk but I've been told by my doctors that I am pre-disposed to them. They suggested I try the banding procedure, but I'm a little apprehensive about it. I would try it if it works, since I definitely don't want the surgery again.
Day two after banding and colonoscopy. The first day is excruciating. The pain is easing off now. I was told that there would be some pressure and discomfort. I’m calling B.S on the “discomfort”. It is excruciating.
I’ve just had my banding done and could only take one band because it was absolutely excruciating. Top five most painful things I’ve ever gone through in my life. The doctor did not prepare me for how painful it was. I could barely drive home. I don’t know how long this will last, but I am in an unbearable amount of pain. Seeing this video makes me think something definitely went wrong. Praying!
@@redbrick9634 I'm not bleeding anymore, so I decide not to do any other procedure to remove the other 2 (I chicken out my self, on the pain) thanks for asking.
I'm going through the pain, 10 minutes after was done it's been the worst pain in the world. Is day 4th and it's worst than my c section and heterectomy. I was not prepare.
I had a similarly agonizing experience and happy I fed that bluntly to the team. Surprisingly all the pain went away the following day. Still waiting for mine to fall off (really curious haha)
Day 2 after banding a grade 2/3, Definitely not comfortable, mild pain. Will report progress for any who are considering this procedure. I put myself on 800mg ibuprofen 2-3 times a day. And added a extra stool softener mid day. Edit: it’s been 2 months since the procedure, and my symptoms are gone, very happy with the results and wouldn’t hesitate to go back for more if needed. Fully healed within 5-6 weeks, discomfort gone after week 2 into week 3. I highly recommend anyone who is suffering on a daily basis to just take time to invest in yourself, it is only as embarrassing as you make it.
@@kranch173 it did indeed. I can’t believe I waited so long to go get this done. Only one treatment needed for me, but I would definitely do it again rather than suffer
Just had first banding experience. Had to take a fleet enema in the first place and that was so painful, like putting hot sauce up my rectum so that didn't help since I was in excruciating burning pain in the office. Then the procedure was uncomfortable and painful going home. Pain was a 10/10 which freaked me out. Dr assured me after 24hrs I should be all good no pain, take ibuprofen around the clock. I was pissed because that did not apply to me, maybe for others but not me. I was in pain until the 3rd day (now) where the pain dropped off from a 10 to around a 4 all of a sudden. I'm assuming the band fell off with the hemorrhoid. But throughout that time I was in so much pain whether I'm lying down, sitting, standing just pacing around. Only relief was sleeping. Meds helped a little. And going to the bathroom was a nightmare, loose stool first day, couldn't go bathroom 2nd day too painful, and 3rd day I finally managed to start going. Traumatized, not sure if I want to go through that all over again. Dr. was board certified. I wanted to share this because I was googling all day to see if anyone was similar to me having a terrible experience and I read the comments here.
As a chronic pain patient of 30 years I do sympathize with you. No one should have to suffer with such awful pain. When there is help. Your not going to be addicted unless you are a addictive person. Most are not. Just want to live a near normal pain free life. But authorities will not let us. I am sure if they need pain meds they can get them.
I was put under for banding last week. First day was intense pain. Percosets did nothing for me. Couldn’t sleep first night. I took Percs in shorter time frame and that helped tremendously. However the first couple days was very painful.
I've had over 30 bandings done in a 4 year period. A few of them were painful. Only had one that the pain was over the top. Its because it was close to the surface. My specialist has retired now. He told me that I'm chronic in producing them. He definitely said at no exception should I get them cut out. Anytime I had a appointment I would take three Tylenol or ibprophan. Most of them were not painful but he would only do one at a time. Body does go into shock for at least a day... after the first day no discomfort. Seemed to work pretty well. Last time that this was done was Oct 2022... since then I've been trying to manage them with my prescription ointment and I have found that rinsing with cool to cold water helps keep the swelling down. Been ryong to muster the courage to see the new Doctor for I'm not sure what he or she will do...
Day 1: I got 3 bands with no numbing and tbh I’ve never felt pain like it but as the day has gone on it’s definitely eased, taking paracetamol and ibuprofen helps. As much pain as I am in just now, I feel it’s definitely been a good idea and to anyone worried about having this done, yes it’s painful but not impossible pain, more uncomfortable for a day or 2 (hopefully) and then you have your life back
I got 2 bands yesterday, the sound of rubber bands trapping it still in my mind (pap pap...). Today, the pain is reduced significantly (1/10), hopefully don't have to do more (there is a chance of 20% patients need treatment more than 1 times according to my surgeon)
When i woke up from my banding i was in so much pain the doctor had to put his finger up there and manually remove 1 of the 3 bands and it instantly took away 50% of the pain. 14 hours later i have pooped out another band, so this leads me to believe i only have 1 band remaining out of the 3. I really hope this works and wasn't all for nothing. Still have moderate pain and pressure. Day 1 still as I'm writing this
Thank you so much for explaining this. I had three band done during a sigmoidoscope yesterday and the doctor didn't explain any of this all I got told by the a nurse was don't get constipated and when I told her that I have a number of different bowel issues that course constipation and other problems she just said oh and don't anything else so I was left not knowing anything about it and what to expect, today I'm in a lot of pain.
I just had the procedure today (some 10 hours ago), and I have developed some chills and a tiny fever. Called the evening doctor, and was told to go to the E.R. if the temperatur reaches 38.5 °C. Fingers crossed everything is okay.
Day 1: My procedure was really painful. The first band was acceptable, the 2nd and 3rd were horrendous. I took painkillers right after the procedure, but did not help. The doctor did not use any numbing medicine. I felt like fainting afterwards and it took me about 10 mins to be able to start walking. I had pain all throughout the day and night that followed. Could barely sleep. I had a throbbing pain and a bowel-movement sensation all the time.
Day 2: I had a bowel movement the morning after banding. I dreaded it but it was actually okay. I took some laxatives the 1st day, so maybe that helped. Had a little blood on the stool. A little throbbing pain, just pressure feeling throughout the day.
Day 3: Still taking laxatives with electrolytes to ensure soft stools and avoid dehydration. No pain with bowel movement, lots of gas! Little pressure and throbbing pain, no painkillers needed. Day 4: Lots of cramping and gas, painkillers needed. No rectal pain!
Just had banding done yesterday. 1st day had some lower belly cramps that felt like period cramps or muscles spasms and the feeling that I needed to poo. (I actually went right after leaving the doctor’s office- she told me it was fine as long as I wasn’t pushing too hard and wasn’t sitting for a long time. Took some Tylenol and was fine. No more pain. Pain level of cramps- was about a 6, 2nd day- woke up with a little cramping and pressure again pain level about 4, but Tylenol did the trick again also had a small bowel movement. Headed to sleep now and feeling a little bloated but pain level at about a 2. No bleeding and a little pressure.
OMG: I got this procedure done, during the 90s. At least I thought so. Lots of pain, lots. Lots of bleeding. Three of these bandings have been scheduled. One for each week. I got red alert pain, the day after, but still while it got worse, I had the second procedure. The doctor told me, we couldn't stop now, and it got worse after. I didn't go for the third one, after it was confirmed, that I had a double anal thrombosis. It took three weeks until the pain went away and half a year, until that heavy bleeding stopped with every bathroom session. I refused every medical procedure since then, still having problems, because I don't trust any doctor to be the right one for that spot of my body. After watching your video a lot of things suddenly makes sense now.
Just wanted to give a shout out to you Dr. Chung, thank you for making these wonderful videos :) To all of you out there, I just wanted to say you are not alone, I have also been through this procedure. My doctor did one banding and I did notice some bleeding for 1 day but after that it was gone. The throbbing sensation was there for a while and on top of that I was diagnosed with a chronic anal fissure so I had to use an ointment to put there even though I had the banding so it was a challenge and painful at times but I made sure to eat lots of fiber, drink lots of water and avoided fast food. I continued like this and then around the 4th week I got my period which was no fun lol. I felt muscle pain in the groin area and the place where the banding was done, I doubled my MiraLAX intake and this helped out quite a bit. After that the throbbing sensation seemed to have gone away for a bit but then I went to get a chair massage and then guy patted down on my upper buttocks and now I am feeling a little throbbing in that area. Today is day 29 and I am trying to eat as much fiber and water as possible. (Cheat time: I did have some sweets and wings here and then but then went back on track with the fiber lol). I still feel a throbbing sensation but I think it may be the massage that I got. I have to go back for follow up in about 13 days and I will let you know how it goes!
I had surgery Dec 2nd & this is the following day after. I am in excruciating pain 😞 thank you for this video cz I already knew the post op experience was not going to be pleasant but I didn't expect to feel like this after the numbing wore off smh
Yea at least they numbed you, I’m still in a lot of pain on and off 6 days after my first treatment. If you don’t have strong meds before the procedure, get them! Believe me!
I had massive bleeding 3 weeks after banding of internal hemorrhoids. They clipped ulcers they found near the bands. I required 5 units of blood. Unfortunate complication, 2% chance.
Was banded yesterday. No pain right after but once the lidocaine wore off....Tylenol did nothing....I called the office and pain medication was sent to pharmacy which barely takes the edge off...sitz bath provides relief but once out of the tub the pain returns....I was not told about this degree of pain being possible...it's definitely 10/10.....just hoping this pain tapers off soon. I get relief when I sleep.
I had banding done today by an experienced colorectal surgeon. It was done in the office. There is pain, but as I head into the evening, I feel throbbing and a sort of pressure. I do feel that the procedure was worth it, though, because the large hemorrhoid was very uncomfortable and problematic. We shall see how I feel in a few days.
This video and the one about your banding are the videos I watch almost on repeat, thank you for your channel! Are you back to 100%? Your hemorrhoid was large enough to feel when you moved around, did you need additional banding on the same hemorrhoid?
Banding is usual not painful but rather discomfort. Be sure a colorectal surgeon does the procedure if you want the best of the best. If you’re in pain, walking helps as well as warm sits baths. Pain should subside in a day or two. Bigger hemorrhoids like grade III that’s deemed suitable for banding might require more than one session. A new banding is then performed in around 6 weeks after the initial banding. I’ve done banding a few times mostly due to feeling of fullness. No bleeding only fullness. I did a banding of two hems 4 weeks ago with almost no pain at all. I went to work 5 minutes after the procedure and then drove home as usual. I might need a second banding as I still have slight fullness from time to time and I know this can be cured easily. Doctor, how often do you see a second banding session is needed? I’ve read loads of studies but I’d rather have your own experience.
I'm on Day 1 of my procedure. I'm regretting the doctor's recommendation to do banding, because this feels worse than just having the hemorrhoid. Lord...
Hi Dr. Chung, can you explain more about the size of haemorrhoid after banding? Does it get completely dry off? Or it can still be in a shape of grape or sultanas?
You said it should not be done for external hemorrhoids. I have what my Primary care provider says is an external hemorrhoid about the size of a small raisin. He told me I need to go to a Proctologist surgeon and get a "Hemorrhoid banding" done. He said it' a simple 5 or 10 minute procedure and after about a week the Hemorrhoid will detach and fall off on its own. He said if I don't get it done then it will just get bigger. I hope the surgeon will examine it and determine what's best to do.
Hello Doctor. I had mine done yesterday. 4 hems got banded. I feelt discomfort but not pain during the procedure. I think rush of adrenaline and the stress + ack of food that day made me faint shortly after I was out of the doctor office. I was still in hospital so thank to God they quickly lifted me up. The fainting was not due to procedure more of nerves. Anyways...I had a bad night with tightness, feeling of fullness in my lower belly (some refer to period like pains) and lots of gas. It feels like I have a need to have bowel movement but at the same time it feels like I fell backwards and hit myself on the tailbone really hard to describe where it actually hurts. Kind of inside you backside basically. I wasn't given any meds or painkillers. Here in UK we have Paracetamol which isn't helping much. I am scared to go to the toilet to pass my stool as I expect pain from hell. This was meant to be a routine procedure. It was like 3-5 min thing really but afterwords it is horrific for me.
Sorry to hear your story. I only bad 1 hemorrhoid at a time as complications can arise by doing more. Your story concerns me and I believe you need to see the doctor to be examined. You're right, Tylenol will do nothing for your pain.
@@yourfriendlyproctologist thank you for the answer Doctor. Today is much better. I passed stool with small blood lining but I guess that's to be expected. The lower belly pain is completely gone and there is just a bit of that tailbone feeling now and again. I wonder if this might be from the fainting. Perhaps I hit myself while fainting. Hospital called me yesterday to check if I am ok. I am hoping that tomorrow I feel much better with no pain at all. I found that in Europe the procedure is done for 2-3-4 hems at one time. In USA I think you take a bit more cautious approach but then patient goes through this several time. I am hoping this was the only time.
You described the pain I’m having perfectly! It’s a mix of menstrual cramps, tailbone ache and dull throbbing ugh 😑. Hope when I wake up tomorrow I feel a bit better. Tylenol did nothing at all but advil seems to be taking the edge off at least.
I had 4 of them in the same day ,the first day was miserable , second biggest pain i had in my life , i have 4 more to do and i'm just thinking about that pain again
Don’t use that doctor. I am using a doctor just like that and he didn’t even tell me how many he banded. Ima call tomorrow (after 5 days) since it’s a Monday and I can find out because literally all of them are still there.. wish my doc was intelligent enough to give me a hand out showing everything he did and didn’t do since he sucks so bad at communicating on top of actually doing the job correctly.
I've been bleeding & have increased Bowel movements since July 7th 2023...The Bowl is half full with Red kinda dark Blood....I'm also seeing small Clots on tissue....July 27th I had a colonoscopy and the banding procedure for internal hemorrhoids.... today is August 4. Hi doctor, my brother have grade 2 hemmorhoids and he's fine with medication but once he stops the problem rises again. So his doctor recommended him to go with rubber band ligation to fix the issue. Is it worth it? But he's willing to do this. Also he's working in marketing field he need to travel on and off. So a 10 days of home rest is fine? Can he resume work and travel after 10 or 20 days? Hoping a reply from your side. Thank you!
Thank you for your excellent videos. I had RBL done one week ago and one of the bands is still attached. Should it be removed by the physician. I have had worse prolapsed hemorrhoids since the procedure, which was 2 bandings. I wonder if the procedure was not done properly.
why is there so much comments about a 10/10 pain when I hear doctors throw around “it’s only a small soreness”? I need answers because I want this done and I just can’t deal with pain that well. A painless procedure going to a 10/10?! Whattttt
Banding does not hurt! I've had 10 banding and never had pain. Please research your doctors. I went to doctors who used crh o Regan system for banding and it was very comfortable
Had it done last Friday, it throbes like crazy. Today's Monday it's getting better but I still feel some pain. No blood, some itching. Had the procedure done before but this time has been more traumatic.
I am about to have the banding procedure done at the VA they do not use any anesthesia there for the procedure. How much pain should I loom forward to during the procedure?
I just had a baby which was extremely painful, I got thru that now I have hemorrhoids, I can’t use the washroom I can’t even hold or breastfeed my newborn, I HATE THIS I swear I’m just crying all day everyday I don’t know why this is happening to me! I don’t know what to do I went to my doctor and shes giving me constipation fleets and that’s NOT THE ISSUE!! She’s not wanted to believe I’m in extreme pain I feel like the doctor is not wanting to help me! I swear these hemorrhoids are giving me postpartum depression!
Just got it done today. Was told one of mine was the size of her thumb 😬. I felt dull feeling until the band then it was sharp. Bumps on the road kind of sucked not going to lie. I am more aware of things like laughing and sneezing ect but 2 ibuprofen and it kicks it but took me a little bit for it to work. I got no numbing or anything but for a little bit of uncomfortableness I feel is worth it for how much they are a pain in the butt 😅. Little worried about my next bm but im sure I'll be okay if I time my ibuprofen right
I just got my first banding done on Monday 10/14 at 9:45am and then I noticed on Tuesday 10/15 2:30pm so its been 24 hours, I noticed while pooping that my rubber band fell off (due to my poop being hard) I don't even know if the procedure worked or not? I hear people say 2-4 days for it to fall out???? I'm totally concern, and my doctor is traveling overseas so I can't even get a hold of him. I did notice some bleeding so maybe the procedure worked? I have no idea. The receptionist at the front said that she got a hold of him and he said not to be worried, that the procedure should have worked. My doctor said it should only take a few hours of not having any blood for the hemorrhoid to die off so the procedure should have worked. Someone want to verify if this is true or not? does it really take only a few hours?
yes the first day is the worst, last night I couldn't sit, lay, sleep, walk, etc without crying like a lil baby 🤣. But my doctor was lovely and he was very understanding and reassuring ❤.
I had this procedure in 3 sessions , the 2 first were ok a little bit discomfort but I was fine but the last one was horrible, very painful , I almost pass out because the pain, and after that the hemorrhoids were still there, the doctor told me that I should get the procedure again, because something went wrong !! I am furious , I have to do it again!!
When did most of you have a bowel movement after getting bands on. I am on day 4 haven't went. My butthole hurts. Have to sleep on my side. I am taking a laxative and stool softener still nothing...
I just got my colonoscopy and hemorrhoids banded I constantly have the feeling to poop feel like I’m holding it , the muscle for pushing , feel like injured tailbone pain help omg , begging of the crack of my butt hurts so much
It's been 3 weeks since I had 3 bands put on my piles. Last week was crazy painful, constant pain. I won't go for another appointment. I'd rather go private for laser. The pain is unbearable.
Had this procedure done it's now a month later and I'm still bleeding. I had one done during a colon check. And one done 3 weeks later. The second visit was done with nothing like the tools you've shown. It was done in a visit room with this clear and purple tool. Extremely uncomfortable. I would like your insite on this.
Thanks for the detailed video on it. I got my banding done yesterday (actually one grade 3 and another one grade 2) both at the same time. A little pinching pain and some stiffness inside as if something tightly wrapped around (rubber band doing its job).. later today I am feeling a lot of discomfort because of slightly activated external hems.. perhaps i took sitz bath with very hot water (highly not recommended! learnt it the hard way) this activated pain in my external hems and I had to cool them off with icing since the pain killers were not that effective. Hoping to see things getting better in the coming days..
The comments have successfully convinced me to postpone this procedure as long as possible lol. I have two prolapsed hemorrhoids but they don’t really bother me unless I have a flare up. Thanks for the vids doctor, I went from knowing nothing 2 days ago to feeling confident about my condition. Going to see my doctor soon.
Hi doctor. I had rubber band ligation done 4 weeks ago, still got little pain and very little bleeding sometimes depending on stools and still swelling. Also my period seem to have come back very lightly after years of it stopping. Is it normal for recovery to take so long? Ps the procedure was excruciating, had no anesthesia done . Thank you
Hi Priscilla how are you? I had three bands in one consultation It’s extremely painful im taking medication but it seems not to be working whenI went to evacuate its even more i don’t know what to do the doctor said it’s normal and this guy says it’s not painful
Hi Priscilla, I hope you are doing well :) I had my period about 4 weeks after the procedure. I felt some intense groin and muscle pain. I think it may have been related with the banding. Maybe since we women have hormones that fluctuate this can cause different things like your case where your period returned with light bleeding. I feel like I am doing better although I still feel a throbbing sensation sometimes.
Hi there, I m in a similar situation, got three done in one consultation, been ok, but after 6 weeks my pain and discomfort and bleeding has started again, can not bend down or sit properly, any information I read about banding, supposed to be painless and straight forward, but my experience after the procedure was horrible, but symptoms got better after one week, but don't understand why after 6 weeks, started again
If banding were to be done on grade 3 haemorrhoids would I still be able to manually insert the haemorrhoids back the day after the procedure when using the toilet like I have to do now daily? Please advise, I’m really suffering. I opted out of the banding because I’m worried that my case is so severe that banding will not be sufficient and also I won’t be able to manually reduce. I have a hal rar procedure booked but then again I am so scared because I’ve been warned that the recovery is excruciatingly painful. Post hal rar on a very practical level when using the toilet the next day, will the haemorrhoids still come out? If they do come out will I be able to manually reduce them and given that the area has been stitched what will that look like? Will it not be intolerable to manually reduce them myself? Please help doc. There’s no one that has been able to properly answer all my questions and address my fears.
I’m really worried about the bleeding I’m experiencing now since my banding procedure 4 days ago. I also see blood clot on the toilet paper when I wipe myself. What is going on?
Almost 24 hours after the procedure, the pain has died down a little but dang it was intense for the first bit. So much pain that I could feel it in my leg on the side it was done. Is this a normal thing?
Thank you for informative videos. Could you recommend a surgeon like yourself in Las Vegas . I have an inner hemorrhoid that is coming out every time I go. I believe I need a banding to help my problem. Thank You .
I have a fissure and 3 internal hemorrhoids, my doctor wants to rubberband all three. I have no bleeding and pain from the fissure. should I wait to do the hemorrhoids until I repair my fissure since the entire pain may be caused from the fissure and not need this at all. What are your thoughts?
I had banding and it did not work for me. It was repeated with another fail. It hurt too by the way. The first time I had it done I would think about the poor lambs when they would get their tails docked, similar rubber band.
Hey I had the banding procedure, about 2 1/2 weeks ago and I started bleeding for a week straight and it hasn’t stopped. Is this normal since it is going on for over a week? I also feel bloated because of the blood. Thank you!
Why rubber band it, instead of just surgically cutting it during the procedure? I got my rubber band today and I don't feel any pain, just like some weird feeling
When the procedure is done correctly, it does not need local anesthetic. Definitely have a detailed discussion with your doctor! Let them know your concerns about pain!
@@pegasonic65 honestly I just got it done and you feel some pressure and uncomfortableness.. but not pain.. you kinda feel like you have to poop but honestly it's not that bad.

Hi doctor, I got mine done 6 weeks ago and they banded three haemorrhoids at the same time, procedure was painless, but the pain was horrible afterwards. I felt better after one week, but my question is that, I m in too much pain now, was bleeding for few days, but has stopped now, is this normal, after 6 weeks, the area should have been healed by now, but why I m in so much discomfort, what could be the reason.. Can you help me plz
I just had thebands put in 5 days ago n still going thru pain. I feel like they have bot fallin off. Still feel the throbbibg is that normal? 6 days after?
I just had my hemorrhoids banded and apparently mine are “massive”. why are these not recommended for large ones and what may happen, what should I look for?
Early in comment... I am getting this done and nervous \terrified. Im so scared about the during, pre\post pain. Ahhh so that is why i must feel to get it done. Makes sense.
I have fibromyalgia and so I'm in pain all the time. Part of my nervousness is how my pain will be verses non chronic pain people recovery. And going to the bathroom levels of pain for me vs not me.

I had the total opposite experience. I think my Hemorrhoid got worse.
Just done my colonoscopy+ banding. You are a great help doctor. God bless You
SOOO glad I watched this because he is describing exactly what I have currently.
Same it's happening to me but still too afraid to do the procedure 😣

i had banding done in April last year.

5 days have been done of banding. 1 hemorrhoid has gone other one is still there. Where should I expect it to be dropped?
How are you now? All hems gone?
Day two after banding and colonoscopy.
The first day is excruciating. The pain is easing off now. I was told that there would be some pressure and discomfort. I’m calling B.S on the “discomfort”. It is excruciating.
That's why I don't want to do it. And I'm always bleeding out. Been needing blood transfusions 😢

Praying!

@Spkr4TRUTH
Next week I am going in for another banding.
He said it is a BIG grade 2- hoping it will work.
Thanks for being honest about the procedure and particular the pain that comes with it.
I would not expect your story after a banding. 10/10 pain from a banding is not what you signed up for!

Wtf

Day 1 still as I'm writing this
Thank you for explaining this procedure my doctor didn't really explain it to me your video has give me confidence to get this procedure done.
How do you feel now? Worth it? How long was the pain bad?
I just had the procedure today (some 10 hours ago), and I have developed some chills and a tiny fever. Called the evening doctor, and was told to go to the E.R. if the temperatur reaches 38.5 °C. Fingers crossed everything is okay.
were you ok?! in getting this done today so naturally watching videos 😂
I just did banding today for a severely bloodily hemorrhoids. Fingers crossed that it works. If this procedure doesn’t work i will get surgery.
OMG:
I got this procedure done, during the 90s.

I went through banding procedure yesterday and have immense pain. How are you feeling now? Did hemorrhoids fell off?
Who did the procedure…a gastroenterologist (office) or colorectal surgeon
Colorectal surgeon
I had banding done today by an experienced colorectal surgeon. It was done in the office. There is pain, but as I head into the evening, I feel throbbing and a sort of pressure. I do feel that the procedure was worth it, though, because the large hemorrhoid was very uncomfortable and problematic. We shall see how I feel in a few days.

This video and the one about your banding are the videos I watch almost on repeat, thank you for your channel!
Are you back to 100%? Your hemorrhoid was large enough to feel when you moved around, did you need additional banding on the same hemorrhoid?
Thanks for watching! I did not need another banding because my second one took care of it. Everyone is different though!
@@yourfriendlyproctologist5 days have been done of banding. 1 hemorrhoid has gone other one is still there. Where should I expect it to be dropped?

Thank you so much...next week my banding will be done. 🙏🙏❤

How do you check after the banding see if it got better??
With your physician, for sure.

How are you now?

Also my period seem to have come back very lightly after years of it stopping. Is it normal for recovery to take so long? Ps the procedure was excruciating, had no anesthesia done . Thank you
Hi Priscilla how are you? I had three bands in one consultation It’s extremely painful im taking medication but it seems not to be working whenI went to evacuate its even more i don’t know what to do the doctor said it’s normal and this guy says it’s not painful
How many days did it take for your banding to fall?
Hi Priscilla, I hope you are doing well :) I had my period about 4 weeks after the procedure. I felt some intense groin and muscle pain. I think it may have been related with the banding. Maybe since we women have hormones that fluctuate this can cause different things like your case where your period returned with light bleeding. I feel like I am doing better although I still feel a throbbing sensation sometimes.
No anesthesia😱😱
Hi there, I m in a similar situation, got three done in one consultation, been ok, but after 6 weeks my pain and discomfort and bleeding has started again, can not bend down or sit properly, any information I read about banding, supposed to be painless and straight forward, but my experience after the procedure was horrible, but symptoms got better after one week, but don't understand why after 6 weeks, started again
It's not pain, it's just feeling like I have to poop all the damn time
If banding were to be done on grade 3 haemorrhoids would I still be able to manually insert the haemorrhoids back the day after the procedure when using the toilet like I have to do now daily?
I had done my banding today is my first day its really painful and itching 😢.may be second day it will reduce
Do they still use the speculum? It hurst alot. I just had mine checked today.i almost passed out. Can i do surgery instead??
I’m really worried about the bleeding I’m experiencing now since my banding procedure 4 days ago. I also see blood clot on the toilet paper when I wipe myself. What is going on?
Did you figure it out
Almost 24 hours after the procedure, the pain has died down a little but dang it was intense for the first bit. So much pain that I could feel it in my leg on the side it was done. Is this a normal thing?
hard to say. a conversation with your doctor would be the safest thing.
@@yourfriendlyproctologist maybe a different doctor? Sounds like his doctor hurt him by doing the procedure incorrectly.
Thank you for informative videos. Could you recommend a surgeon like yourself in Las Vegas . I have an inner hemorrhoid that is coming out every time I go. I believe I need a banding to help my problem. Thank You .
Dr after Rubber banding how long will it take for the hemorrhoid to fall off I have a type between 3 and 4 will banding work.
The first time I had it done I would think about
the poor lambs when they would get their tails docked, similar rubber band.
Its been 6 weeks and my doctor said they have scabbed over. I am wondering wjats the time frame to be fully healed? Anybody know
How did it go from there?
Hey I had the banding procedure, about 2 1/2 weeks ago and I started bleeding for a week straight and it hasn’t stopped. Is this normal since it is going on for over a week? I also feel bloated because of the blood. Thank you!
I’m sorry, hoping everything started working itself out for you
Bleeding is very concerning especially when it kinda fills the Toilet Bowl 🥴 This what I'm dealing with B4 & After banding
how long does tiny mucus discharge last after banding , its 2 weeks now no blood But little white , yellow leak should wait more please reply ?
Why rubber band it, instead of just surgically cutting it during the procedure? I got my rubber band today and I don't feel any pain, just like some weird feeling
Very helpful - thank u
Is any local anesthesia used? I really need this done and am terrified.
When the procedure is done correctly, it does not need local anesthetic. Definitely have a detailed discussion with your doctor! Let them know your concerns about pain!
Suhey did you have it done? I feel the same way. My doctor said he uses novicaine. That sounds worse than just the rubber band!
@@pegasonic65 honestly I just got it done and you feel some pressure and uncomfortableness.. but not pain.. you kinda feel like you have to poop but honestly it's not that bad.
@@stephmac4770 thank you!
@@stephmac4770 Thank you for that response, It gives me some hope. I'm going to get this done soon. Hope you have recovered from this. I'd really appreciate if you can share your recovery experience and tips on this.
Iv had my surgery only 3days ago , my first bowl movement few hours after the surgery because I wasn’t expecting it suddenly the doctor decided too without emptying my colon or buying any of the things i needed for this moment especially that iv had a lower back work accident a few days prior n still so iv been off work already 4days in advance So , now my boss is looking for a Temp im surely going to lose my job if I’m not working next Monday only 5days after surgery … I asked the Dr if I’ll be able to work next day she said is better to stay home but i might be able too …. What hurts me the most is the question why ???! They didn’t tell me any of the recovery instructions, consequences, ?!! I think it was no Anastasia because I felt everything the butcher surgeon was doing??! He said at the beginning that it going to be quickly non painful then at the end he was apologizing for what’s happened ´ tried to show me something that got stocked that’s why it took that long n all that horrific pain ?? If I knew that I wasn’t gonna let it happen but I swear they lied to me because I asked the practitioner n surgeon n explained why I can’t miss work ?! Now I’m about to lose my job , definitely my rent by the end of this month ….. and just moved to Austin 5months ago by myself in all this not even a car to get stuff …. Only The creator is taking care of me since Wednesday I passed away twice when I was having a crazy fever first then again today on my first bowel movement found my self on the floor cold n shaking …. My the almighty help all of us
Just wanted to get this out of chest cuz I can’t make my family cry while incapable of helping me from thousands of miles away.
how'r u now bro?
Are you okay?
I'm in a similar boat. What was your outcome. I hope you're much better.
I just had banding done to three internal hemorrhoids yesterday. Today wasn’t fun in the bathroom but not much pain at all. I just want this over. 😢😢😢
Can banding be used to treat severe grade 3 haemorrhoids?
Hi doctor, I got mine done 6 weeks ago and they banded three haemorrhoids at the same time, procedure was painless, but the pain was horrible afterwards. I felt better after one week, but my question is that, I m in too much pain now, was bleeding for few days, but has stopped now, is this normal, after 6 weeks, the area should have been healed by now, but why I m in so much discomfort, what could be the reason..
Can you help me plz
How are you now?
I just had thebands put in 5 days ago n still going thru pain. I feel like they have bot fallin off. Still feel the throbbibg is that normal? 6 days after?
5days after. I have only takin tylenol pm and placing desetin around to push them back in. Its so painful.

Hello dc. Can u tell after how many days after the banding it will heal fully
