    Absolutely superb. A tour de force of problem solving and measurement to achieve a precise result. I would be very interested in a separate film showing how you made the special gauges, if you had chance to make one. Thanks for this, its of great interest to me.

      Thank you, Carl. The gauges were just carefully turned from free curring MS. I cut the tapers using the top slide using a dti to make adjustments to the angle and measuring with a mic at both ends. The flange thickness was machined using a depth gauge against a parting tool. The drawing was adjusted to suit the final dims of the 45deg cone by measuring over the 2 drills as shown. If there is still a demand I could make a video....
