@@MrCScottie I wonder where the line is drawn between an decline and a hill I go down a incline on mine but trust me its a bunny slope not some hard core down hill
Nah you can definitely ride hills on these! Banks, ditches, & transition are great too. You don’t want to bomb steeps on these, sure, but medium-high speeds work well, as you have extreme control for very deep carving.
Yes, if you use a regular board it is easier to pump with loose trucks because it gives you faster turning movements. But in this video we are using something that is called a surfskate, where the front truck is specifically designed for this surfy pumping movement (it can move from side to side). So in order to pump like in this video, you would need a surfskate. @@skateproskateboarding5188 Sup, man. Could you tell me if i can pump with a pair of gullwing didewinder 2 10"? if so, could i get high speed? Thnks in advance
Even with surfskate trucks you'll need to figure out the technique. For your longboard, loosening the kingpin nut will make it easier. Push off on a slight slope then shift toe-heel.
@@ace.hypnotika yeah, I'm prepared to do the....well... the legwork and learn it, but I've been trying to pick it up for about a year now whilst skating normally, and have only barely picked up any ability to impart energy without pushing at all (to the point I worry any gains at all might be in my head)
@@asherael you will need a minimum of speed to get the pumping going on a standard longboard, you can't just pump from standstill or very low speed unless your technique is extremely good
hello I have am sector 9 ala moana no tale that have double truks that cross a lot can I use it? i love surfskate i dont know if my weels helps me 72 mm 78 A they are atach so much to the asfalt that i dont know... what do you recomend?
Owning a surfskate or similar isnt necessary for learning to pump...altho' it will make it easier to learn the basics. Find someone who competes in slalom...they will be able to pump ;-)
Extremely dangerous without heat and a tutor I almost went to hospital last week, two nasty falls!!! It's ok to play but I'll stick to cruiser ones this is for professional surfers!
Thanks got a board so different from a skateboard like you said it's hard to kick if you have to rebalance on the board every time this helps
You finna get mad speed wobbles if you go down a hill
Yeah these aren’t made for hills

Its like Snakeboarding!
Aww I like this comment
Very helpful video, Gregor what board are you riding? What is the equiverlant in the current range?
Very nice teaching today I learn how to get up how to stop and how to pump.
Thank you I Food leveling
really well explained, great tutorial video ;)
I’m a beginner but does the trucks have to be super loose to pump your board?

How did your front wheels get so flexible ?
does it really make learning to pump easier? trying to figure it out on my longboard is *killing* me. I think my trucks are too wide?
@Jamshaid Ali you can pump all skateboards nomater the truck, surf skateboards are a lot easier tho

For my longboard, the secret to pumping is to already have some speed and build upon it.

this is surf style pumping, way different. it's all about the carving and circular motion rather than going straight

Nice & Thanks :)
How loose do you make the kingpin
That depends on your weight
He really did the infomercial version of pushing on a skateboard lol
Nice ripstick😂😂😂
If you follow what this video tells you to do you will make bad habits and this will hurt your surfing!
Got a better one?
