Totally agree 100% with you about beauty trends or any trends for that matter. Paying attention to what brings you joy as opposed to what people are trying to sell you is something most people don’t learn till they are older. Happy thanksgiving!
Hi sweet friend! A nice grwm sounds perfect. I do like the Patrick Ta foundation. Chilling is my favorite thing. I wish there were places to hike here. One son says hiking is his therapy. But the N.O. Area is below sea level. Watching… love the old pictures.
We’ll have to get you out to the PNW for a hike!! I went back to see your baby alligator short (at least I think it was an alligator! 🤣🤷♀️) Nature is super healing!
My take on beauty trends is that they’re for people who care too much about what others think or are easily led. I’ve realized that it’s all a bunch of BS lol. Who gets together and decides this crap? Makeup in general has gotten better over time so I adapt to better products and techniques but I couldn’t care less about a trend. If I want to wear a smokey eye in the summer I’m gonna 😂. I agree with you completely and Ive even told people this: I love my forties. My twenties were very hard, thirties too but less so. In my forties, I have lived and grown. I’ve had experiences and learned from them so I’m just much more sound mentally, emotionally and spiritually.
@@grey_beautyOomph… the drugstore vs high end topic is a hot topic. I used to use exclusively high end. I understand where you’re coming from to an extent, because I used to be a diehard MAC addict. I mean I spent THOUSANDS of dollars on MAC. But drugstore makeup has come such a long way. It’s really holding its own against high end brands. I agree with you in that packaging matters and sometimes there’s even a different feel of a high end product vs a drugstore product. Affordable brands use that cheap, tacky, plastic packaging and it doesn’t last so I wish they’d come up with something else. Have you tried Morphe eyeshadows or what about Juvia’s Place? The pigmentation is next level amazing. Also, Moira chroma light eyeshadows are 🤌🏾. Very much like the UD Moondust shadows but only $6.
@@theesthi_tee My brain never categorizes Morphe in the "drug store"....same with Color Pop. Not sure why?? I like some Morphe stuff...I just don't quite LOVE thier stuff. I used to LOVE the Jacqeline Hill palette. Some of thier brushes are ❤🔥 Their foundation is really the only budget foundation I like (except someone reminded me of the Wet'n Wild Photo finish which I used to be obsessed with). I only have one thing from Juvia's place that I liked...I have been curious about thier blushes though. I tend to hang out in that section when I am at Ulta, just haven't added a bunch to my bag. Now, Moira I have not heard of, is that at Ulta? I love chatting about makeup!! So glad you nerd out with me!!
@@grey_beauty You probably just got a hundred replies from me lol. I couldn’t and still can’t see my reply from you so I wasn’t sure if it was even posted so I sent it a few times. Sorry if i spammed you 😬😝. I typed this whole response about being in the beauty industry, how Colourpop, Morphe and Juvia’s are kind of in a gray area, etc. and now I can’t see it. If you would please, let me know whether or not you see it so I’ll know if I need to resend my comment.
That Patrick Ta foundation is stunning!

Happy Thanksgiving!!!🦃
I hear you. It is hard to have original thoughts today but I’ve always been bad at following trends anyway. I’ve never fit in

This is a really great video! Love the way you talk to the camera!🫶🏻
Thank you! ❤️❤️
I don’t think you will be a small channel for long! You have great content!
That means a lot coming from you!! 🥰
I am so agreeing with the makeup trends. I don’t do well with balance either lol.
😂 I think the older I get, the less I care. I say that and then social anxiety creeps in!
I’m here for the rambling lol
The rambling is good!
Love it!!! Happy Thanksgiving!!
