the thing about it is, jesus was always preaching to those who were the most lost or the most far gone in society. whether that be the sick, the poor, the sinners etc. something few people are willing to do today, especially those of high positions of power.

The Prisoners appreciated that Pope Francis showed them compassion rather than judgement. Pope Francis shows the compassion that Jesus exemplified when He was on Earth 2000 years ago. Pope Francis was so humble in that he said, " We will have to be cleansed, starting with [himself]. Judgement is easy, but compassion, repentance, and forgiveness are humbling. God Bless Pope Francis for ALL the love he brings to the 21st Century.

Pope Francis is such a wonderful man, I am glad that he is our Pope. I wish that I could have seen him when he came to the US... my friend did, though. I was super jealous. Pope Francis refuses to live in the giant palace in the Vatican City. He lives in a simple apartment. What an example to all of us, caring for the poor so much more than we do.

I Stood on State Road Hoping to see him the day he was visiting in that prison. Just a few months later I became a nurse in that prison. It was never a goal it was never an idea in my head.... it just happened! God leads us where we need to be.... Thank You Pope Francis and My Lord for guiding me!!!
i don't believe any of these people are inherently bad, I don't think the human mind could ever be that binary. I think they most likely had incredibly challenging upbringings which led them onto a life of crime. I don't think people are born evil, its life experience that shape character.

The pope still stays in the apartment he did as a priest in Rome. He drives security crazy as he sneaks out now and again to be with his old friends. When the virus spread in Rome and they wanted him to move to a safe place he refused saying that he wants to be with his people. He had began investigations and has sacked priest who were involved and they are finally facing criminal charges. He is a great man and one of the best popes ever.

The USA has more people incarcerated than any other nation, yet we call ourselves the "Land of the Free?" Anyone could wind up in jail in our messed up legal system. Most people with felony convictions are not even allowed to vote and have difficulty getting employment. Our legislators and judges need to get rid of mandatory minimum sentencing and disenfranchising felons. We are all in this together. Pope Francis gives us a good reminder of this.

Please excuse my tone of speech or script as it spontaneously comes to that mode not deliberately but through a freak mentality. Just go by the message only. We were all baptised as Catholics to remain faithful to our Saviour Jesus Christ and to protect our faith from unscrupulous people. But no way we were made Catholics to do an unscrupulous naivete on the Vatican Forum or the discretion of the Holy Father to be very precise. As such if we dare make a dig at Pope Francis as to "who baptised the Holy Father" then the same yardstick must apply to everyone including his critics. This feature is equally good for everyone regardless of who stands where. Let us repeat it viz. we were all baptised to become true followers of Jesus Christ (not critics of our Holy Father). Our sacred duty of following Jesus Christ is for our own salvation. We as good Catholics have, therefore, no right or authority whatsoever to defy our own Saviour Jesus Christ. But unfortunately our attitude has now more or less changed. We have started looking the other way. We tend to "look a gift horse in the mouth" besides assuming ourselves to be custodians of the Catholic Church or the Catholic Faith without our being invited to be. If our ambition was of that category then we ought to have renounced worldly life right at the start to become a part of church clergy and the church clergy should have done a soul search at the time of taking the vow. It is another matter that the ordinary clergy are not made to take the triple vow of Poverty-Chastity- Obedience. So even there you clergy stand a grade below the congregational clergy. Since we did not do that (taking the triple vow) then we need to keep a low profile and not add to the conflagration by making the Holy Father stand in the court of our wistful thinking. When neither God nor the Vatican Forum has not authorised us to tarnish the reputation of the Catholic Church it ought to be our prerogative to stay subdued without maligning the church or the Vatican. As a last resort - come let us be true Catholics because our God is an Omnipotent Omniscient and all pervading Abba God the Father Jesus Christ God the Son and the Purifier of Souls God the Holy Spirit. the thing about it is, jesus was always preaching to those who were the most lost or the most far gone in society. whether that be the sick, the poor, the sinners etc. something few people are willing to do today, especially those of high positions of power.
There are still people that do come around to peoples homes. An other's go to other city's and county's that are called missionary's but some of them are killed by evil people!!!
The Prisoners appreciated that Pope Francis showed them compassion rather than judgement. Pope Francis shows the compassion that Jesus exemplified when He was on Earth 2000 years ago. Pope Francis was so humble in that he said, " We will have to be cleansed, starting with [himself]. Judgement is easy, but compassion, repentance, and forgiveness are humbling. Pope Francis is such a wonderful man, I am glad that he is our Pope. I wish that I could have seen him when he came to the US... my friend did, though. I was super jealous. Pope Francis refuses to live in the giant palace in the Vatican City. He lives in a simple apartment. What an example to all of us, caring for the poor so much more than we do.

It warmed my heart when the guy in the wheelchair tried to stand up for the pope near the end.
I Stood on State Road Hoping to see him the day he was visiting in that prison.
Just a few months later I became a nurse in that prison. It was never a goal it was never an idea in my head.... it just happened! God leads us where we need to be.... Thank You Pope Francis and My Lord for guiding me!!!

The pope still stays in the apartment he did as a priest in Rome. He drives security crazy as he sneaks out now and again to be with his old friends. When the virus spread in Rome and they wanted him to move to a safe place he refused saying that he wants to be with his people. He had began investigations and has sacked priest who were involved and they are finally facing criminal charges. He is a great man and one of the best popes ever.

The USA has more people incarcerated than any other nation, yet we call ourselves the "Land of the Free?" Anyone could wind up in jail in our messed up legal system. Most people with felony convictions are not even allowed to vote and have difficulty getting employment. Our legislators and judges need to get rid of mandatory minimum sentencing and disenfranchising felons. We are all in this together. Pope Francis gives us a good reminder of this.

Please excuse my tone of speech or script as it spontaneously comes to that mode not deliberately but through a freak mentality. Just go by the message only.
We were all baptised as Catholics to remain faithful to our Saviour Jesus Christ and to protect our faith from unscrupulous people. But no way we were made Catholics to do an unscrupulous naivete on the Vatican Forum or the discretion of the Holy Father to be very precise.
As such if we dare make a dig at Pope Francis as to "who baptised the Holy Father" then the same yardstick must apply to everyone including his critics. This feature is equally good for everyone regardless of who stands where.
Let us repeat it viz. we were all baptised to become true followers of Jesus Christ (not critics of our Holy Father).
Our sacred duty of following Jesus Christ is for our own salvation. We as good Catholics have, therefore, no right or authority whatsoever to defy our own Saviour Jesus Christ.
But unfortunately our attitude has now more or less changed. We have started looking the other way. We tend to "look a gift horse in the mouth" besides assuming ourselves to be custodians of the Catholic Church or the Catholic Faith without our being invited to be. If our ambition was of that category then we ought to have renounced worldly life right at the start to become a part of church clergy and the church clergy should have done a soul search at the time of taking the vow. It is another matter that the ordinary clergy are not made to take the triple vow of Poverty-Chastity- Obedience. So even there you clergy stand a grade below the congregational clergy.
Since we did not do that (taking the triple vow) then we need to keep a low profile and not add to the conflagration by making the Holy Father stand in the court of our wistful thinking.
When neither God nor the Vatican Forum has not authorised us to tarnish the reputation of the Catholic Church it ought to be our prerogative to stay subdued without maligning the church or the Vatican.
As a last resort - come let us be true Catholics because our God is an Omnipotent Omniscient and all pervading Abba God the Father Jesus Christ God the Son and the Purifier of Souls God the Holy Spirit. Our look out ought to be to glorify God and chasten His faithful not to narrow down the very perception of the world Amen.
