      Eh...just cause Rock Lee is a fan favorite, I think he became overrated. Truth is, no matter how awesome Lee is, in the end he's still a one trick pony with only being able to use taijutsu. I'm not saying he's weak, but he's very vulnerable if not placed in the right situation to succeed. Not only that, his chakra level is just average, and if you add in that his best abilities also hurt/immobilizes him after, he's kind of limited. Don't get me wrong- Lee is amazing, but he basically has to fight the perfect opponent to really shine.

    • @DarKAbg0l

      @@TyTimeIsAwesome No, it's just a it's just a matter of plot armor and what Kishimoto wants to do, Lee should have won the fight for real at this period nobody can't face Lee even Sasuke with the chidori, I think he was too strong and he had to put a brake on him.

    • @TyTimeIsAwesome
      @TyTimeIsAwesome 2 года назад +17

      @@DarKAbg0l Naw. His taijutsu is top notch sure, but if he gets caught in a genjutsu, it's basically game over. A ninja with a decent set of ninjutsu can also beat him. And the reason he lost to Gaara I think is because like I mentioned, his chakara level just isn't elite. Gaara has his own plus the one tail. He's gonna outlast Lee. That said, Gaara is also a one trick pony and was the perfect opponent for Lee to face.

    • @TheLastSane1
      @TheLastSane1 2 года назад +29

      I mean touching someone who can fire chakra through your body through physical contact is not a wise decision. Lee really had no way to fight Neji hand to hand, Neji has his heavenly rotation and without bijuu chakra could he have reversed it?

    • @nightflash262
      @nightflash262 2 года назад +140

      @@TheLastSane1 Lee can really beat Neji easily imo. Neji can't rotate all the time without draining his chakra, even Lee normal speed is fast already. Even with the byakugan I doubt Neji can keep up, like Lee said to Sasuke when they fought, Lee said even with the sharingan if one body doesn't have the speed to keep up it's useless. Yea Byakugan can see 360 but it's not even like the sharingan where it can sort of slow/predict movement. When Neji fought the spider guy Neji was caught (yes blind spot) by the arrows after rotation, so in theory Lee can just do the same like Gara and attack different spots with speed or even pause his attack and just keep moving wait till Neji rotation stops then strike.

    • @TheLastSane1
      @TheLastSane1 2 года назад +5

      @@nightflash262 Yeah that doesn't change a thing. Neji would still floor Lee in a proper all out fight. Lee at his normal top speed was still draining his own stamina. You seem to think he can move at this speed indefinitely which is just not the case. Yes the Lotus abilities began to rip muscles but his stamina was still training when he took off the weights.
      You also seem to think Neji has like five seconds of chakra and thats just not the case. Gentle Fist is actually exceptionally conservative with Chakra.
      You also seem to think Lees blows are exceptionally powerful but there is no real proof of that and even then we do see the aftermath of a Neji and Lee sparring match after this chuunin, granted it may have been fill, but Lee loses.
      Lee is burning his stamina at high speed. Yes he is quiet fast, but so is Neji his movements are far more conservative sure but thats to not waste stamina and chakra.
      Neji can also, and its shown in his fight. Expel enough chakra from one spot on his body to repel an attack. The thing with Gentle Fist and that defense is that when he expels chakra to block the attack he can also inject that chakra into Lees arm and shut down his chakra network though not as efficiently as hitting each point.
      Lee does not use Nin or Genjutsu but he does use Chakra and shutting down system down in Lees limbs renders lee unable to fight as even using his gates the network cannot channel that increased chakra.
      If Lee were to open all his gates while his arms and legs chakra networks were shut down or damaged. He would likely permanently destroy them if he forced the chakra open (Naruto can because its Kurama's chakra not human chakra and since its an outside force it can bypass the shut down) or he might just damage his limbs to the point of them blowing off his arms and legs as if he was using OFA at 100%.

    • @SP00KY110
      @SP00KY110 2 года назад +47

      @@TheLastSane11. it has never been stated that the rotation can affect the chakra network
      2. Even if rotation affects chakra Lee can counter it by destroying the ground (which we know he is capable of) to temporarily interrupt Neji's rotation and then blitz him for the win
      3. Naruto literally stopped the rotation with a kunai because he was outputting more counter force ( he hit it in the opposite direction of the rotation's spin to stop it) and I'm pretty sure Lee could do something similar if not exactly the same

    • @TheLastSane1
      @TheLastSane1 2 года назад +3

      @@SP00KY110 1. Never said it did, pointed out that the gentle fist style interrupts chakra networks by injecting chakra through the gentle fist style which can be done through ANY part of the body so yes if Lee tried to punch Neji in the cheek, he could use Gentle Fist through that same spot to both counter, and use a gentle fist strike on that arm.
      2. Yeah a pot hole in the ground does not effect the rotation. We see no proof that he needs flat even ground to use the rotation, just that he can step on something so even if the ground is off balance due to a hole he can keep rotating so long as he knows the hole is there to adjust for it and with 360 degree vision he should.
      3. Yes but that also required Kurama chakra to do. It was not just a Kunai but also the chakra of Kurama rotating in the opposite direction to cancel it out.
      Lee is not as strong or as fast as you people like to pretend he is. He has not shown anything close to that and using Might Guy an excuse is bullshit unless Lee merges with Might Guy the dude can't use Might Guys feats as his own.

    Every time I watch this fight it makes me so mad, this moment is all about him trying to get over his fear of not being useless and proving that with effort and hard work one can achieve their goals but from this point forward the series made an effort to shit on everything lee is trying to prove and accomplish by constantly getting wrecked. So in the end nothing that lee does matters because the show keeps making it a point to natural talent over hard work, essentially implying that no matter how hard you try it's never enough and there's always going to be people who have it easier without doing as much and are more successful than you and that's a terrible message to get across

    • @closery
      @closery 2 года назад +7

      But that is also the true part of our world, if you believe in a lie you'll end up more upset. Lee and Guy is a prove that you may be on the top with hardwork but there is always needs some more things like luck or some other advantages. Life isn't fair but if you have enough will you can succeed to level that make you happy :)

      @@closery it might be true that people don't always get what they want but 1) the beauty of fiction is that it's not supposed to be real life.
      2) there's 0 moments where the message comes across in the entire series.3) if you're not going to make him the role model for the idea of "working hard gets you results" you shouldn't even be selling him as such for the entirety of the fight just to shit on people's faces like that.
      And 4) this is a Shonen anime, Shonen means something along the lines of "young boy" and the entire purpose of shonen anime is to be over the top and Inspire young boys to pursue their dreams, fight for what they want or what they believe is right, make them feel exited. That's basically going against the entire premise of a Shonen Anime

      @nicolasrodriguezbadala1024 2 года назад +13

      @@closery "Life isn't fair but with enough will you can succeed to a level that makes you happy" that's a nice message, however that's what this fight and every single one of Lee's fights go against. Every one of Lee's moments end up proving that statement wrong which makes it all just one big lie. I think the only two times Lee ends up with a positive result are during the chunin exams while naruto is away against a random nobody with an ability that's basically watered down eight gates and during the great ninja war when he defeats a "supposedly strong Taijutsu master who nobody knows, it was basically a quick made up filler fight against a random guy with no relevance to the plot whatsoever.
