Hello, thank you for your reaction to the Tokai Remix😊 Dunno if you've noticed it yet, but Team Tomodachi isn't just a squad anthem, but is also a movement. Yuki Chiba/Kohh, born and raised in Tokyo, is going around Japan and having rappers from different regions spit their bars about themselves, their crew, and their respective hometowns.
The first remix is called the Dirty Kansai Remix. Kansai is a region west of Tokyo which includes major cities Osaka, Nara, Kyoto, and Kobe. Young Coco and Jin Dogg are representing Kansai Region, and their location then was in Osaka.
This 2nd remix is called the Tokai Remix. Tokai is a region southwest of Tokyo, so they have SOCKS, Yellow Bucks, and MaRI reppin' Tokai. They are currently in Nagoya, one of Japan's major cities located in Tokai.
MaRI is a new face in the Japanese female hip-hop scene, 1/2 Japanese, 1/4 Brazilian, 1/4 Italian. She made her debut back in 2020-2021. The little boy in the red jacket next to her in the beginning of the video is her son.
There are many great Japanese female rappers around. This year's Coachella has Awich, aka the Queen of Japanese Hip-Hop, so I also suggest you check her out too (and MaRI, of course).
If you search around RUclips, rappers from outside Japan started to make their own Team Tomodachi remixes, like from Thailand, Taiwan, South Korea, etc. Also, check out Team Tomodachi at The First Take channel. They have English subtitles with the lyrics👍

……I appreciate you sharing information on this song & what’s going on in the Japanese Culture.
I still favor Yancoco on the 1st remix.
The 2nd rapper on this one was my 2nd favorite.

      @@thepoeticbutcher3370 Oh yes, me too.
The 2nd rapper you mentioned in this MV is Yellow Bucks, also a big name in Japanese hip-hop. I'm a casual J-Hip-hop listener, I'm more of a J-Pop fan for over 20 yrs now (since mid-1990s, I was still in high school then LOL), but hip-hop in Japan has been around since the late 80s (U.S. military influence, so to speak). There's some playlist videos of 90s Japanese hip-hop around RUclips that you can check out if you're interested.
The First Take channel is an awesome channel that has artists invited to perform in one take, no rehearsals. They have a few American/Western and K-Pop artists perform there too, but it's a great starter channel as an intro to J-Pop and the many genres under the umbrella. Hope this helps
