Joel, You could do a video about Bill's music :)
Bill is masterfully in touch with the point of music theory. He drips with talent as a composer and artist, but what I really think is great in this track in particular is how controlled his runs are. His voice is unconventional by modern music standards but he’s so skillful with it.
I wish there were more with voices like his
My guy, you summed up the entirety of what I’m starting to call the “neon chaos” music genre: a whole bunch of neon-sounding instrumentals, conscious-stream lyrics, and an overall sense of organized discord

@@yurifan2537 No, don't.
The beauty of Bill's music is that it's just ambiguous enough for people to create their own interpretation of what it means to them and just emotional enough for it to touch them on a deep personal level.

this is surrealism at its finest. it's philosophy perfectly balanced with bizarre humour. the animation is strange in the best possible way, i couldn't possibly fathom a more perfect fitting song for the animation. thank you for making the things you do
so there was this person who said that geniuses don't exist and i said that my assumption is that they do. i also assume that person wrote me off as an idiot because they didn't reply with any explanation why geniuses don't exist.

The lyrics feel so intentional. There is a definite message here, even if at first it seems semi-nonsensical like some of his other videos.
Yeah, any hints? Anybody?
I'm thinking it's a (vague Bill-style) message of hope. Is it ending? No? Then *live!*
It's kind of baffling to me how so much of bill's content is a string of words that simultaneously says nothing at all and has a profound meaning.
I have a hunch that all of his lyrics are written by a.i haha
That's a feeling called apophenia. Connection and meaning in things that are unrelated and usually "don't make sense."
@@kunai9390 and yet it's still fire.

This one made sense to me, like it's something I needed to hear.
My Grandfather is going to die soon, and I am absolutely terrified of the world where I am still here but he isn't here to be with, but the point of this song is that the world after he is gone will still be a good world, full of good and bad and everything else just like my world with him has been. When my world with Grandpa ends, A new world will begin, and I shouldn't be afraid of that.
My time with grandpa was good, and I will cherish these memories forever, but the goodness of those times should not make me afraid of the looming future.
If the world doesn't end, is it ready to begin?
Sorry to hear about your grandpa. Your comment is largely how I feel about the song too, although the person I may be losing soon isn't in the same definition of losing, but the feeling is similar.
@puting🤔 disgusting
@puting🤔 imagine advertising a prn site on a comment thread about someone talking about their almost dead grand dad
That got deep but tip of the hat to you for figuring out the meaningfulness of meaningless words
@@moistcologne Are they meaningless, or are they so meaningful they seem meaningless?
I've looked through the comments and so many people have found meaning to this song. For me, the line "If the world doesn't end, I'll speak to all my friends" and continues to talk about making plans, and that feels like the end of lockdown to me, this slight fear that the future will be worse, or that it'll be hard to come out of the hiding, the comfort we've been in, even more so for those people with mental health issues.
Other people have found other meanings to the same verse in the same song, and meaning to other verses. I think that the great thing about Bill Wurtz is it always reflects how you are feeling, because it makes you feel that way during listening to it, and you can find relatable meaning because it's so open.
I don't know though. I'm just a guy on the internet.
Bill has somehow managed to make music that is simultaneously nonsensical and funny as well as meaningful and though-provoking. Which is truly spectacular.
It's only made to seem like nonsense and chaos, like life
I agree his music is truly multiple adjectives

m.ruclips.net/video/Mx92Bdgvr4k/видео.html
The imagery of conferences, talk shows, corporate infrastructure, and ecosystems really make me think this song is about the climate crisis, whether specifically or as a metaphor for a world in crisis more broadly. With that in mind, it’s weird to see so many comments saying that this is a straightforward “good vibes” song or an “everything’s going to be ok” song. To me it feels much more ambivalent.
The singer seems to be yearning for change and needing change in the world, while trying to keep their compassion and tenderness in the face of so much dysfunction. I think it is a wonderful song and ultimately uplifting but nowhere near as passive as “good vibes”, “it’s fine”. The world isn’t fine and things aren’t going to be okay unless we make changes. We need care and time to manage those anxieties but we also need to act.
This song describes helplessness, overwhelm, and frustration with collective responsibilities but the focus is on collective joys: warmth, friendship and community, visions of the future, and the new world we have the opportunity to create. The two go hand in hand. It is lovely, urgent, and human.
I don't know if this fits to you, but still I wanna share this: "To acknowledge a problem doesn't solve it". I kinda forget this if I read comments like these, because I think "Wow, this comment is so true. He really understands whats going on and he's right with the urgency making changes". But because I think something like this, I'm feeling like I spent time acknowledging a problem and my brain thinks, I spent time trying to solve it. But this isn't the case. So please - if you read about climate change and about how bad it is - it isn't enough acknowleding it, because this doesn't change it. Only acting changes.
I also noticed that he made the colors of the sky yellow and blue at one point, similar to the Ukrainian flag. That would go along with what you're saying (pointing out the issues in the world and wanting change).
@@LeoKatzman idk i think he just likes the yellow-blue stripes as he has used it in the past

Bill's songs and visuals have a dreamcore feel to them but without the creepy feeling you would usually get. It's truly unique
It's because it's surrealism! Dreamcore is just surrealism crossed with the uncanny valley, liminality, and often some degree of horror. Its goal centers more on the uncanny than the absurd, which is why it differs from a lot of surrealism and warrants its own name :)

I feel like we've lived a lot of our lives with the knowledge that the world is teetering on the edge. I also feel like this song asks the question: If/when we figure it out and fix it, what happens next? After living so long in fear of the end, what happens when the end is no longer a problem?
It's also like a reassuring message. "The worst you could have imagined has either passed or not come to pass at all. And we're all still here. I'm on the tail end of a depressive/anxious episode and I needed this, so much. It felt like a hug. A "things will be okay, enjoy life". A similar thing happened when you released Here Comes The Sun.
Thank you for your art, you're changing lives.
I've always felt that Bill Wurtz always comes in my moments of need.
I had that experience with here comes the sun aswell (though it was more so a case of "remember, if you keep living you WILL figure out how to enjoy things again" than "things will be ok, enjoy life"), but it was me coincidentally re-listening to it after having done so before several times but never appreciating it. It just happened to be the one I hadn't watched in awhile while scrolling through his songs and spiraling for unrelated reasons. The Airplane Terminal also has a good effect on me. Something about it reminds me of early childhood (a time where I didn't have the issues I implied prior), moreso than his other songs, though a few do give off that feel kinda strongly too.
Set aside the music and the lyrics, the quality of the animations is just crazy and the improvement since the previous one can be seen easily
2:19 and onward are my favorite parts of the whole song
Sometimes, if I really listen closely and read between the lines of the lyrics, I think I understand what he means. And it feels darker than the upbeat melody would initially lead you to believe

This song resonated deeply within me. During the pandemic, I really retreated into myself, barely got out, and never tried to make new friends or do new things. Now, I'm still taking precautions, but I'm really realizing that there are so many important things in life to seize and explore. I shouldn't regret that phase in my life, but I can appreciate as the world moves on and choose to move with it. This is really good music.

@@CharlieQuartz It is, really, not granted that you will improve by practicing.
I know many artists who will do MORE, but won't improve over time.
It's like knowing more math formulas, but not getting any smarter in deriving or combining them.
Also, there are learning disabilities. I have seen artists who spent 6 years throughout college and ended up where they began: They didn't improve a tiny bit.
Just because you practice doesnt guarantee anything
@@christelleaugustin1695 I didn't say it was granted, I implied it was normal. Listing exceptions to the rules doesn't change how the average behaves and learning disabilities are by definition not the norm. Almost all artists I know do improve, but either aren't satisfied with how quickly they do or in what ways they have.
It's honestly very, very good. There's some pretty wild materials going on, and the combination of 2D and 3D stuff is crazy. The animation, especially on the character, is also a lot more complex than it seems. And all that is aside from the artistic vision to keep such different scenes stylistically similar, which is to me the most incredible part. I wouldn't even know where to begin.

That chord change at 2:04 activated my stank face
All of bills music feels so nostalgic for me yet something new each time.
I feel like the latest few songs after money have all had a shared theme of change. I've looked though all the vids now and here's what I've got:
More than a dream: maybe about changing yourself for the better or that changes aren't permanent.
I'm scared: this one's a bit iffy and might just be kind of absurdist, but my best guess is it's about how while change can be scary, it can also be good, or even about how a lack of change can be bad
Fly around: a story about a narrator who is sort of the opposite of the one in I'm scared, going with the flow and not caring too much. Also I think the ending might be a little about how nostalgia can change memories into something a little different
987: I thought this one would be really hard but I actually pretty quickly came up with it being about how people are all different and have identities that aren't yours, but they've all probably experienced the same emotions you have.
Corner store: probably about how while change happens, it's good to have an anchor to keep everything making sense
This song: sort of a conclusion the the whole thing, but other than that I'm kinda drawing a blank. I've seen some interesting theories but I'd like to think it's about how while all the different viewpoints are valid to the singers of the other songs, change can be good or bad for different people. Something like that.
If you have any better ideas pls reply, thanks for reading

As someone who’s been really effected mentally by isolation due to quarantine, that hit f//cking HARD
Same dude
@@TheRealBatabii it’s my brand
Don’t question my brand
Can we talk about the production? His mix quality is constantly improving and i'm here for it. Love his soundscapes
Love to see how yours videos started as funny, and steadily became more and more poetic (and still funny), thank you for your work
This and corner store are by far my favorite. Keep this type up!

colab confirmed???
lyrically great as always, but I must say your singing and song writing has gotten so much better the melodies and harmonies on these songs are lightyears ahead of your previous output. Lovely life affirming track Bill, thank you.
This is one of Bill Wurtz’s most underrated songs.
The more bill makes, the more im convinced he's some deity attempting to bring peace to this world
This is fire on a metaphorical, physical, spiritual, and musical level. You're a god damn genius and artist Bill. 😂😭🔥👏🏻
I agree!! Its really good!
JESUS KNOCKS ON YOUR HEART AND LONGS FOR YOU TO ANSWER! HE DOESN'T WANT TO SEE ANYONE PERISH INTO HELL. GOD LOVES YOU SO HE GIVES YOU FREE WILL AND A CHOICE TO ACCEPT HIM OR REJECT HIM. TO LOVE HIM OR TO LOVE SIN/THIS WORLD. CALL UPON JESUS & ASK HIM TO FORGIVE YOUR SINS! SURRENDER YOUR WILL & YOUR LIFE TO HIM & HE WILL GIVE YOU ETERNAL LIFE IN HEAVEN! PICTURE YOUR BEST DAY ON EARTH TIMES A BILLION FOR ETERNITY, THAT'S HEAVEN! NOW PICTURE YOUR WORST DAY ON EARTH TIMES A BILLION FOR ETERNITY, THAT'S HELL! HE WILL GIVE YOU WHAT YOU WANT SO IF YOU REJECT HIM YOU WILL BE SEPARATED FROM HIM & HIS BLESSINGS (LOVE, PEACE, JOY, HOPE, REST, ETC). IN HELL YOU WILL BE ALONE WITHOUT GOD OR PEOPLE... YOU WILL BE HOPELESS, IN DESPAIR & AGONY FOREVER!
GOD'S STANDARD FOR HEAVEN IS PERFECTION AND ONLY JESUS (THE SON OF GOD/GOD IN THE FLESH) LIVED THAT PERFECT LIFE! HE LAID DOWN HIS LIFE & TOOK THE WRATH OF THE FATHER ON THE CROSS FOR YOUR SINS! GOD IS JUST SO HE MUST PUNISH SIN & HE IS HOLY SO NO SIN CAN ENTER HIS KINGDOM OF HEAVEN. IF YOU ARE IN CHRIST ON JUDGEMENT DAY GOD WILL SEE YOU AS HIS PERFECT SON (SINLESS SINCE YOUR SINS ARE COVERED BY JESUS' OFFERING). YOU CAN ALSO CHOOSE TO REJECT JESUS' GIFT/SACRIFICE & PAY FOR YOUR OWN SIN WITH DEATH (HELL) BUT THAT SEEMS PRETTY FOOLISH! GOD SEES & HEARS EVERYTHING YOU HAVE SAID & DONE. YOU WONT WIN AN ARGUMENT WITH HIM & YOU CANT DEFEND ANY OF YOUR SINS TO HIM. YOU'RE NOT A GOOD PERSON, I'M NOT A GOOD PERSON... ONLY GOD IS GOOD! WE'RE ALL GUILTY WITHOUT ACCEPTING JESUS' SACRIFICE FOR OUR SINS!
MUHAMMAD DIDN'T DIE FOR YOUR SINS, BUDDHA DIDN'T DIE FOR YOUR SINS, NO PASTOR/NO PRIEST/NO SAINT/NO ANCESTOR DIED FOR YOUR SINS, MARY DIDN'T, THE POPE DIDN'T EITHER, NO IDOLS OR FALSE gods DIED FOR YOUR SINS, NO MUSICIAN OR CELEBRITY DIED FOR YOUR SINS, NO INFLUENCER OR RUclips STAR DIED FOR YOUR SINS, NO SCIENTIST OR POLITICIAN DIED FOR YOUR SINS, NO ATHLETE OR ACTOR DIED FOR YOUR SINS! STOP IDOLIZING & WORSHIPING THESE PEOPLE!
JESUS CHRIST ALONE DIED FOR YOUR SINS & WAS RESURRECTED FROM THE GRAVE! HE IS ALIVE & COMING BACK VERY SOON WITH JUDGEMENT (THESE ARE END TIMES)! PREPARE YOURSELVES, TURN FROM SIN & RUN TO JESUS! HE KNOWS YOUR PAIN & TROUBLES, HE WANTS TO HEAL & RESTORE YOU! TALK TO HIM LIKE A BEST FRIEND! ASK HIM TO REVEAL HIMSELF TO YOU & HELP YOU TO BELIEVE IF YOU DOUBT! DON'T WAIT TO CRY OUT! NO ONE IS PROMISED TOMORROW! HE LONGS FOR YOU TO INVITE HIM IN, HE LOVES YOU MORE THAN ANY PERSON EVER COULD, HE CREATED YOU!
Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me."-John 14:6
"But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven."-Matthew 10:33
“For the wages of sin is death (hell), but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord”-Romans 6:23
Man the melodic lines after 2:39 are so lovely ~~~ thank you bill!!
This dudes dialogue is like a good conversation
I feel like this is a perfect contrast to Matt Maltese’s “As The World Caves In”
this is very interesting thank you bill
Damn ur first
Jesus - man is that quick
He’s the most interesting man

Finally its here.
I like the "Your pointless" reference from that hit movie 1:15
This guy is officially nostalgic, even with his new videos they are still nostalgic. Love you Bill Wurtz, keep doing what you're doing
awesome job as usual !! my favourite verse has to be "If the world doesnt end, is it ready to begin"; gives u something to think about and anther thing i love about his songs in general is that each person can have a different understanding of the lyrics and lets u have ur own meaning of the song. Love this man
this song came out at such a perfect time. I’m going through a lot of life changes right now and it kind of feels like my life as i know it is ending. this honestly really helped.
this song makes me feel like it is gonna be okay :)
The instrumental vamp at the end (2:58) is so feel-good especially with the visuals. Thanks for making our days better.
These always start so simple and then turn into a jazz masterclass. The fact that I have to sit here and figure out what the hell that chord progression I just heard was just shows how good this guy is
ikr
Another masterpiece by Bill, the lyrics are filled with so much meaning and it's beautiful

Finally its here.
Especially that last line
Filled with so much meaning and also no meaning at all, at the same time
@bill wurtz 🅥 I don't think people are falling for it, man.
Something tells me.
@@dat_fast_boi no you don’t understand, it’s here
People are so focused on what can go wrong that they forget that things could actually go right. Keep your head up. Hope will always exist as long as people believe in it.
Also I watched this twice and almost cried.
Me too man
Bill’s songs have been so on point, and have been a source of comfort for me, as I have been going through extremely tumultuous changes in my life.
It feels like the 3D animation has always been a part of Bill's channel.
We can finally say today the merging is absolutely seamless.
