    I prefer the iPhone 6 Plus. Even though the screen is smaller, the 6 Plus is bigger. And you know what they say about bigger. Also, the good thing about the 6 Plus is that it's so big BUT you can fold it in half and put it in your pocket. I doubt you can fold the Note 4 in half.
    Proof 6 Plus > Note 4. End of story.

    Personally, I like the iPhone 6 Plus and I love iOS! And this is coming from a person who in the past has always had an android. It's only been since the iPhone 5S that I had decided to make the switch and I loved that I did. :-)

      I did too, but not totally sold on the iPhone forever. I would love to have multi-windows options, expandable memory, and be able to replace the battery. But I know that the iPhone will last longer than 2 years with me. The only problem an iPhone has is Apple and it's software. Thanks for those updates Apple.

    All I can say about RUclips comments is Android fans are more active about expressing their hate about Apple iPhones compared to Apple fans hating on Android phones. But in the end millions of people anticipate for an iPhone launch over any android new devices. It's a fact and not my opinion. I don't know why but I guess it just tells us that most people that can afford these devices prefer simplicity, fluidity and resale value compared to power and customization. Just my 20cents. PEACE 😊

      Just want to say that anticipation and resale value has also to do with perception. Rolex is perceived as THE watch above am watches, but is it? A lot to do with brand image, culture and marketing.

    • @mmante78
      @mmante78 10 лет назад +1

      They both have their merits and when it's comes to buying a new high tech expensive phone device it all comes down to what u want. As for a fact buyers don't really care about what others think. It all comes down to individuals preference.

    • @DonnKnee
      @DonnKnee 10 лет назад

      Well that would be true if Android didn't have around 80% of the mobile market share(more users, more hate). No matter how many people line up for the iPhone, Android has the majority. So "most of us" who can afford to buy phones, seem to prefer customizability and power don't you think? If Android had just one OEM like Apple, instead of dozens to choose from, I think the hype and interest in a single Android device would be similar.
      As far as resale value, the iPhone definitely retains its value longer. But whenever I go on Craigslist, I always see page after page of people trying to sale an iPhone, but if I look for a specific Android phone, I'm lucky to find more than a dozen. I always wondered why.

    I don't know why people hate Touchwiz so much !?
    I think it's ok !
    It gives you so many features and customisation possibilities !
    Ok maybe apps open 1/10 of a second slower than on an iphone, but who cares ?
    The thing is that the Note 4 to me is a real Smartphone you can do all sorts of things with , while the iphone you can telephone, play games, listen to music or browse the Internet .
    But that's it !
    Note 4 can do so much more as can Samsungs Note Tablets !
    I have read Reviews in which where said that the Note 4 beats the Iphones Battery live but I think Reviewers allways do the same mistake as you can see on all unboxing Videos !
    You should always fully charge the Battery before starting up your device to get full capacity of the Battery !
    Great Review anyway !!!

    I usually agree somewhat with Lisa's reviews and comparisons, but in this case I have to respectably disagree. The Note 4 is better than the iPhone 6 Plus in every way that matters when someone is buying a phablet, rather than a regular smartphone. As it stands, the iPhone 6 Plus is just a big iPhone, and doesn't effectively utilize the added screen real estate effectively like the Note 4. Most people who aren't partial to any specific OS buy a phablet for the multitasking prowess. The Note 4 beats anything on the market in that regard. Also, because Android is a more full fledged OS, all of the apps can easily take full advantage of the QUAD HD screen, whereas the apps that aren't optimized for 1080p look wonky on the iPhone 6 Plus.
    Also, while both phones have great cameras, the Note 4 is superior, and it's not just because it offers double the megapixels. For starters, your Note 4 in the video still has the protective film on the lens. Aside from that, the Note 4 offers more finely detailed pictures and the ability to record 1080p and 1440p videos on both cameras, in addition to pristine 4K on the rear shooter. This is a big deal for people shelling out between $750-$800+ for a phone.
    The iPhone 6 Plus is a great phone with a ton of apps and great design and build quality. However, as it stands, it's clearly geared towards people who have an affinity towards the iPhone and want a larger display.

    Very unbiased review, i can appreciate both. I use to be a huge apple person around the 3g/3gs generation then switched to a Galaxy Note2. I have a note 4 in route from UPS today :).. Very professional comparison and thorough. Good job. Apple use to be soooo much smoother than droid. But the smoothness of software on the Galaxy Note series has caught up in many regards in the past few years and has surpassed Apple in others via hardware. But both are awesome an they need each other to continue striving to push one another get better.

    Lisa - Hypothetically speaking, If you'd chose one of those phones for the next few months as your personal phone (I know you're using LG G3) which one you'd pick? I wanna get my mom a new phone as a gift for Christmas because her old Galaxy S 2 broke down. She doesn't mind big phones and she's used to the S pen she have Samsung Note 10.1 tablet instead of a computer. But she's not a Galaxy or Android fanatic. All those devices got as gifts before. (I own HTC One) Thank you Lisa. I enjoy watching you videos.

  • @kokotekilata
    @kokotekilata 10 лет назад +1

    The comparison could have been better. Most notably on the "phablet" experience part. The 6+ has very week improvements and implementations for the extra screen estate. Two pane view is not something I consider as a feature especially as it has yet to be adopted for the 6 Plus - this is basic app design methodology for supporting different display size/resolution/dpi. One handed operation mode on the Note is miles better with the whole display shrunk rather than the iPhone 6+ implementation of lowering the app to the middle after double tap on the home button.
    On the regular use performance side- both device have occasional stutter. Depending on personal usage either one can be irritatingly stuttery or silky smooth. The animations and way both device operate are different, which can make the iPhone 6+ occasional frame drop stand out more as it is inconsistency. The same can be said for the Note 4 sudden transitions, which are consistent but depend on actual work load put on the device and launch with a few ms difference.
    Otherwise, the video is good.
    PS: Snapdragon 805 is important not so much for the CPU but the GPU aspect. LG G3 with the 800 cannot handle 2K whereas phones/phablets with the 805 run as expected on 2K displays. S5 LTE-A version is an example for this just as the Note 4.

    Great unbiased review. I hate large phones and had bad experiences with my Samsung handset so I won't buy Samsung again. But although the IPhone is metal I prefer the style of the note. The clean lines with silver makes it look beautiful. So in terms of hardware I prefer it over the rounded girly iPhone style.

    I've been watching Lisa's reviews for years and she has been, by far, one of the most unbiased reviewers I've seen. Sometimes she prefers iOS for herself, sometimes Android. For you newcomers to this tech world, the Team Android/Team iPhone is old and is not considered relevant to tech vets like myself. Your dedication to your brand is only relevant to the monetary bottom line of the company you boast is the "best". Grow up kids.

    1. You won't get as shaky pics on the note 4, why? Because you don't have to touch the screen tien on voice command. Pics can be taken by saying cheese, shoot, capture, smile or by pressing the volume key. Yes note 4 has a physical button for the camera.

      That's right, specs do tell everything. That's why a 3 GHz Pentium 4 is a lot faster than a 2 GHz Core 2 Duo. And that Nokia's phone with the 41 Mpx camera must take better pictures than the leading system cameras - it has more megapixels! The world is black and white, ooh-la-laa! Let's go out to celebrate!

    • @truthxbexheard1
      @truthxbexheard1 10 лет назад +1

      did you watch the video? lol don't be ignorant. It has better specs on paper but still iPhone beats it in every way. It doesn't need 3 gb or ram to be faster or a quad core processor. It runs with 1gb of ram and and a duo core processor and the speeds are the same. The "16"mp camera takes equivalent shots to an iPhone with 8mp and in low light the iPhone beats it. So what specs are you talking about? Im confused. They are both great phones so there is no win or lose.

  • @OliverLovesIt
    @OliverLovesIt 9 лет назад

    Well, I was an iPhone owner from the iPhone 4 to the iPhone 5S and while I really loved the good camera I started wanting a bigger screen just three months after buying the 5S on release day.
    So I sold it to get a Note 3.
    I was happy with the S-Pen, I loved that I could play my beloved old video games I grew up with on an emulator and all the widgets I could use for customization.
    The camera though didn't do such a good job. I missed the feature to change the exposure just by tapping anywhere else on the viewfinder.
    This is something that just doesn't work on any Samsung phone. Is that possible on a Note 4?
    Anyway, I'm glad that I got a new mobile phone contract with an iPhone 6 Plus because that combines a big screen with the interface and the good apps as well as the great camera that I got used to.
    I don't regret going back at all.

And the display is just incredible. I don't know why reviewers act as if the note display is just a little better than iPhone plus when they know it's by far more superior. I think I'd give Samsung another try. 6 plus looks unappealing to me and those antenna lines are super tacky.

    I've had Nokia phones , HTC phones (HTC desire, one +) and currently own a note 3.
    At the end of the day you choose a phone to suit your daily requirement , if it does everything YOU need it to do ....then that's the right phone for you, be happy in that knowledge.
    aesthetics , size of camera mp's , thickness , battery life are all individual tastes on the consumer , yet you all still bitch about whose phone looks and feels better? Totally ignoring the individuals personal tastes, which inturn turns a valid reviews comments page as nothing more than a schoolyard name calling orgy.
    Ask yourself this question: Why do you like your phone and how does it benefit you?

      I agree, this seemed like a good and honest comparison. I have heard some differing experiences in some cases but sometimes things aren't the same with every individual handset (especially not when it's different countries, branded or unbranded, etc).
      For my needs the Note 4 will be significantly better but that doesn't mean that another phone can't do some things better. It's nothing but good for the customers if there are many manufacturers that put out good devices.

    I enjoy both, I use both. One thing though, the note might have some features on the very top of the skin that make it try to mimic desktop actions, but personally in my opinion the real pocket computer is the iPhone, because it runs a version of
    the OSX operating system. They work seamless together, and the iPhone & IOS offer those real 64BIT desktop arcitecture apps. The iPhone is the power of the Mac in your pocket. You'll never find deep desktop style apps like garage band on Android, because it doesn't have the latency. Or even ported apps like say Sketchbook pro, Androids lack of a deep core system gives you only 5 undo options. For the few that are on both, the ones on Android don't feel the same. And that's my biggest gripe about android and the note. Sure you get all these features, but without a rich app ecosystem, these features are limited. S pen was good for notes, but never worked great. Their S note app is very bad, and there's barely any other apps that take advantage of it beside sketchbook Being that I own both, I have to say the note is a great device, but it's disgused to come off like this really powerful thing, when in the real world the iPhone 6 plus is like having the power of a pocket iPad and a pocket Mac, add hand off and continuity, and you just have a system that is far deeper than it. Android just doesn't have the core power to do these things. It's not a Samsung issue, it's an Android issue. IOS is truly the pocket computer, with massive core power. In 2014 Android apps still feel bad, they feel like air web apps. It lacks core Audio, it lacks latency, and it lacks desktop class architecture. The IOS is a derivitive of actual desktop software. It will always be more powerful.

      I see your point but you might find it hard to believe but lots of people who buy the note are usually younger who couldn't care less about fancy desktop features. Most dont even have a job requiring this. It's like buying expensive running shoes when you are not an athlete. My 6 year old neice has a tablet. I'm sure some users never use the note for anything more than their regular smartphone. They just have it to watch movies and probably surf the net or play games.i have to admit the screen is beautiful. Since you have both tell me which screen is better in your opinion though I don't understand why you need both. Don't get me wrong I not a total Samsung fan but I like give my fairest opinion.

Maybe the Nexus 6 will combine the quick, clean feel of the iPhone with the killer specs of Android hardware. The iphone has voice memo and can record audio lectures without stopping even two hour lectures!i heard the note can only record short audio recordings. is this true? I am really interested in the Note 4 but one this that is important for me is being able to record lectures to help with my studying and I use my phone as a audio recorder, but none of these iphone vs note 4 comparisons to date talk about the audio recording cabalities! Iphone has the software voice memo and it is fantastic, if the note 4 had a similar feature I would be sold on the note 4 but no one can seem to provide this info! Please if someone is familiar with the note audio recording capabilities please do tell!

    The Snapdragon 805 is a bit slower than the Note 4's Exynos model. If you benchmark the snapdragon version and the exynos, the latter is a lot more powerful both in single core and multicore. so if you compare the iPhone 6 plus to Note 4 Exynos version, the benchmark is higher which results to fluid and buttery smooth performance of the TouchWiz.

    The "better" device should always be taken from the perspective of the user i.e. whichever ever device best meets the needs of a user is the best device for that particular user. If a one phone has a better feature, say a camera, for example, than another phone, but a phone camera is not important to a particular user, who may be more focused on another feature that is better served by a different device, then that phone is not the best phone for that user. I will never criticize someone for the device they choose to use, even if I don't like the device. If they are being well-served by that device and it meets their needs, more power to them.

    I'm an artist and a tech nerd so I'd own both phones. iPhones seem to appeal to artist and hipsters. Android seem to appeal to people who want a PC in their pocket and people who are on the tech side. You'd think since most creative people use Apple, the iPhone would come with a pen and that'll be their selling point. Comparing Android and Apple is old. It's like comparing Apples and Oranges.

    Difference between those two phones is that one is more smart phone than the other .and guess what: More smart is Samsung Galaxy Note 4 because it gives you more smart options in operating system....IOS is a quite dummy comparing with Android.... Also there is disadvantages in hardware because iPhone does not have led lights, usable bluetooth and NFC for transfer files, rechargeable battery and memory card option. In my house I have iPhone 5, iPad 4, Samsung galaxy note 10.1 2014 edition and Sony Xperia Z compact. And my opinion is based on experience in everyday use

    Great job on dumming down the Note 4 in efforts to make the iPhone 6 Plus seem comparable. Sounds to me like Lisa was too afraid to admit what we all know. That the Note 4 is the better device and, in fact, is in a whole nother catagory. The only thing that makes the Iphone 6 Plus comparable to the Note is its screen size, and the Note 4 wins that caragory as well offerring a slightly larger screen with roughly the same dimensions as the iPhone 6 Plus. The Note 4 is wider while iPhone is taller. In every other catagory, from processor speed to display resolution, customization to the option for expandable storage, removable back cover, more camera features, better front facing camera...the list goes on an on. I'm not even going to get into the S Pen. To say "I really don't see a clear winner" is quite comical.
    With that said, I love your reviews Lisa, but this one seems a bit obvious.

    Here are some more smackdown thoughts. The iPhone 6 plus emits more cancer causing microwave radiation than the note 4. The iPhone 6 bends in half 40% sooner than the Note 4. The iPhone 6 Plus catches the hair in your head or beard; the Note 4 does not. The plastic strips on the iPhone 6 Plus change color with denim blue jeans; the Note 4 does not. The iPhone 6's have bluetooth connectivity problems, not so the Note 4. iOS8.1 has shortened the battery life of iPhone 6's. A number of iPhone 6 Plus users are complaining about crashing issues, particularly if they have large App librairies. Time to get some issues straight.

    For the first time i think the note looks better from the rear - unfortunately that where it ends, iPhone beats Samsung in every other category including screen. I had a note three and just got sick of the over saturated colours and zero UI updates from Samsung. If you're an old man or a teen with no taste, go for the Note.

    • @Jon-Cameron

      If you watch this review again, you will see that the iPhone does not beat the Note 4 in every other category. And also in this review you will see that the Note 4 has user settings to adjust screen saturation to suit your individual taste. The highly respected DisplayMate Technologies who rigorously test smartphone screens awarded the Note 4 as having the best screen ever produced on a Smartphone.

    I've been with android since the S4 later upgraded to the S5 as of now, I own the iPhone 6 plus. They are both amazing phones, When it comes to simplicity the iPhone wins hands down performance wise Galaxy Note 4 wins by a Long shot. If you decide to buy the Galaxy Note 4 you REALLY get what you pay for as with Apple you don't. Android focuses on what users want Apple focuses more on how they can improve their phone without going all out like android does with their phones, Why? The answer to that is simple, Apple doesn't want to improve their phone dramatically so they can release a new iPhone a few months later with a few added features when they can give their best effort into one iPhone. Since android (Galaxy) goes all out they are forced to come up with new AMAZING ideas while Apple feeds off android smartphones. I am going to be switching back to Galaxy (Note 4) Simply because it's a better phone in MY opinion and the reasons stated. What bothers me the most is when iPhone users are so defensive when they haven't owned a Galaxy. May I add that the Galaxy Note 4 can be just as simple when you customize it to be that's the beauty of android phones you can do almost anything use the phone knowing you got what you paid for.

    A phablet without multitasking capabilities seems pointless to me. S-Pen writing notes while in conversation. Taking screen shots and writing over them creating my own memes. Just a few nessecary features I need out of my phablet. Removable battery were I can toss in a new one on the fly. I also need to be able to completely sync my smartphone with my computer and vice versa. I need true multitasking not a watered-down version. Of course the iPhone will be slightly more fluid it is essentially an app drawer. Of course android would be smoother of it were made by one company that has a monopoly over their os.. I'd rather have more freedom and choices to be able to Payless for features that I need or do not wish to use.
