If you're a descendant of an American slave, you, nor your ancestors were African. You are a Hebrew Israelite from the seed of Jacob. The chosen seed. The promised seed. Ye are the branches.
You're not even American, you are Y'israel.. The Nation of Yahweh Elohim! The chosen seed! So many are asleep. The first shall be last and the last shall be first. The elder shall serve the younger. In thy womb (Rachel) are two nations. Jacob is rising. Esau is the end of this world and Jacob is the beginning of the new world. Talk about low frequency huh..... America is Babylon, it will fall and burn. Those who are asleep and never wake up is because of the curses Moses, the custodian of the law, prophesied and was told by Yahweh Elohim to tell the people of Y'israel that would be. Such a spiritual blindness that will not be lifted off of majority of Jacob's seed. Let those who have an ear to hear, hear what the spirit says!
Americans aren’t African🥱 y’all just wanna claim it but you will never even visit there and embrace the culture LOL fake Africans. The real Africans are the ones born there and live the culture, you ignorant Americans have no right to claim it
Erykah sounds as out of this world as she appears in the video. This for me is sophisticated, cool, and even avant-garde. Definitely a genre defining vocal and instrumental masterpiece, just beautiful.
It's so perfect that tears fill my eyes, even after all this time. I first heard this at age 14, as a newbie musician. Now I'm 36. And the words to her songs just hit deeper. It's just amazing. From the lyrics, the poetry, and the video's imagery to the subtle musical arrangements and chill & smoky jazz club vibes. Erykah is the vessel of self expression but also a vessel of universal expression, Black female expression, and so much more, I hope she knows this... she's influenced so many strong black women (and men!) but also some mixed/white boy musicians here, too!! Lol. And not only me... and yes, I do realize that "perfection", in any sense of the word, is an illusion; but Ms Erykah Badu, you exude something intangible that is, to your fans and followers, quite perfect in what it is. ✌🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽❤️
may all true parents know 100s of more years of life on earth. and may their souls know one luv eternal life with the divine source . when they pass. 🤍🙏🏾
This song helps me with my anxiety. Erykah Badu is an artist who made music to truly enlighten and heal. I saw her for the first this year in London. I went alone and it was so freeing to see her. I heard On and On on a Kiss 97 compilation album at aged 8 in the car ride with my Mum and she used play that CD all the time. Mum would always play this song too. Now I’m grown I understand why my Mum as a single black mother (not by choice) in a corporate role in her 30s always opted for soul music to soothe the soul and reinforce the spirit in a world that at times wants to crush your spirit. Thank you Mama for sharing good music with me and Mama Badu for singing your truth because it ensures we remain free in a world that censoring truth daily.
Wow after listening intently to this song it has a point in everyone's life. Grew up christian baptist wondering; went to the military and killed at will, got out and served the community, went into the medical field for years, got pulled over continuously and got a record, then medical field career ended. See kids, you don't need to sell your soul to be an amazing artist
But you have to have a soul to begin with
how do you know she didnt....?
100barbelve she ain't mainstream for one
ths song tells you she was suppose to... "i knew the toll but would not pay(didnt sell my soul)you never know where the cards may lay (be in the devils industry but maybe god will still allow me to remain pure in the end)
David Heer she has
This track hits differently when you get older and really read the Bible... imo. Different strokes for different folks.❤😊

Happy 50th bday to the “Queen of Neo-Soul”, Erykah Badu!!! (February 26, 2021)
This song will never die!!!
❤️❤️💚💚💜💜🧡
Still can’t believe she’s actually 50. Her energy and aura is just so timeless, she could be 120 years old and i would just accept that as a hard fact.
Happy birthday Slim artist and 👑 we all need to hear something for the 2022 .we 💕
She is walking it out in those boots. Love this song and her.
♡ carrying the weight
Regina Weaver I thought I was the only one who noticed she had these boots before they even hits stores

I'm 19 and this hits so much harder than alot of the artist my generation listens too today.
Listening to this on a psychedelic is fucking amazing. Seeing her live as you're tripping, fucking epic and emotional. This woman is beautiful and jaw dropping

Iconic, distinctive, classic, pure quality neo-soul, a cut above most of today's contemporary music
All of today's contemporary music..
I play Badu morning, noon and night. I just let it play. It's mood music.
This woman made me see myself. My true African culture my true core ... Let alone everything around me ... I lived listening to her validating everything I felt in my mind in m body and soul ...She told me I'm not craze to think how I think and how I view how life is distorted...
If you're a descendant of an American slave, you, nor your ancestors were African. You are a Hebrew Israelite from the seed of Jacob. The chosen seed. The promised seed. Ye are the branches.
erykah is an american 😒 africa can’t claim this one! it’s ours!!
@@BriBri256 🤣🤣🤣🤣 low frequency won't understand...so I don't blame you 😊🤭
You're not even American, you are Y'israel..
The real Africans are the ones born there and live the culture, you ignorant Americans have no right to claim it
Everything about this song is beautiful 👌🏾
Erykah sounds as out of this world as she appears in the video. This for me is sophisticated, cool, and even avant-garde.
Definitely a genre defining vocal and instrumental masterpiece, just beautiful.
Morning music 🔥🔥🔥
Well said!👌🏽🎯💯
that dont make no math?
Paul george is the definition of smooth
@user-hy2xe5yw3oshut up respectfully.
PG sorry ass fucked my slip up last night 😂

I always loved when my family had long car rides and my mom would put this on followed by some sade. Thank god for my parents always putting me on🥰❤️
may all true parents know 100s of more years of life on earth. and may their souls know one luv eternal life with the divine source . when they pass. 🤍🙏🏾
You are Blessed to come from wise parents who wanted you to expand your mind and thought process 💖
yes my parent played talking heads this must be the place similar music always kept me with the highest vibration
The best r and b singer from Tennessee.
This song always makes me emotional. This is genuine pure positive energy and realness. ☝
Made a wrong turn back there somewhere... she sings to my soul and my soul sings back
I can't wait to show this to my kids and watch them be mesmerised by her voice and soulfulness.
Wow after listening intently to this song it has a point in everyone's life. Grew up christian baptist wondering; went to the military and killed at will, got out and served the community, went into the medical field for years, got pulled over continuously and got a record, then medical field career ended. I went back to school and studied all religions and I keep ending up listening to this song 10 years later. Thank you Eryka, keep us woke.
