    I made this cake today using Joy of Baking's simple chocolate cake recipe (as I prefer oil in cakes rather than butter) and your chocolate frosting. I also made the marshmallow fluff and slice dulce de leche from scratch. The final result was really delicious! Thanks for the recipe.

    I made this yesterday it was so fluffy, moist, chocolaty and yummy. I combined it with strowbary whip cream and chocolate ganache frosting. Thank you for your perfect video ❤️

    One-word. Wow! Snickers happens to be my favourite chocolate bar too!! Thanks a bunch for the lovely recipe. Could you suggest an alternative to the marshmallow creme? Also for the frosting, isn't 4 sticks of butter a bit too much?

      +Liz Anya nope.... Its not so sugary.... Its caramaly, rich n chocolatey. no one would touch it If it was too sugary. My hubby is not sweet tooth. he too enjoyed it.

      Hi! :) Hmm, I'm not sure what you can replace it with. I've seen other youtubers make a nougat kind of filling, or you can make your own meringue and use that instead...

    Snickers is my FAVORITE candy! I'm all about this cake. I'm thinking about using cheese cake instead of the marshmallow cream. Man, I wish my oven was working.

      It's a little on the sweet side but you can always add less caramel/marshmallow cream :)

      Hi! :) You can try using meringue instead of the marshmallow cream. I don't have a recipe for it but essentially it's egg whites mixed with hot sugar syrup. It's the first step in my Italian Meringue Buttercream recipe: tatyanaseverydayfood.com/recipe-items/italian-meringue-buttercream/

      Hey thx for getting back to me!
      First off I made this last night for my hubby's bday! Everyone loved it!
      Ok how video differs from written recipe: for CAKE: written and video ingredients are the same, but video shows to add milk in beginning.. Written it says to alternate with flour into creamed ingredients..
      FROSTING: salt written 1/4 tsp.- video 1/8 tsp. ....
      Video optional 2 cups powdered sugar written no mention powdered sugar..
      written say cream together butter and dulce de leche . in video shows just butter until fluffy.. And then rest of ingredients....
      FILLING: written says 3/4 cup peanuts ,
      1/2 cup caramel sauce
      Video says 1 cup peanuts , 3/4 cup caramel sauce...
      So they're all small in reality... But as I was making this yesterday, Reading the recipe as I go and then watching it, I started to panic a little 😬( OK A LOT) 😂😳 as I saw my process was a little different from yours... I will tag you on Instagram to show how it came out 👍🏻

    How is your Frosting so soft? Whenever I try to make frosting with butter it's never smooth... What should I do? And does this Frosting become hard as it has butter when we refrigerate it ?or this cake could be placed at room temperature ?

      It's important to beat the butter first before adding anything else. Make sure the butter is super fluffy and smooth, then add the sugar and chocolate. It will harden but not too much, it will soften again at room temperature

    I'm making a wedding cake and i want to use a chocolate cake recipe that can hold the weight of fondant and three tiers. Is this a good recipe for it?

      Shoshana Tran As long as you refrigerate the cakes as you're making them. It's a bit on the moist and soft side when it comes out of the oven but it sets nicely once frosted and refrigerated!

      +Payal Ailani I added the marshmallow to mimic the nougat inside Snicker's; a simpler filling than making the nougat :)

      This cake recipe did have some left over frosting. If you want to, you could probably cut the recipe in half for less frosting :)

      Thank you! Yes, if you have small eggs, use 3. And melted marshmallow will work great here, too. I almost always use unsalted butter

      Hi! You can make your own marshmallow cream - just heat a few cups of marshmallow with a few tablespoons of corn syrup in a small saucepan. You can also substitute with a vanilla buttercream, although it would taste the same

      Hi! I recommend letting it set in the refrigerator for a couple of hours, or you can let it set overnight. Both ways will work well :)

      You try replacing the egg with applesauce, sour cream, banana or avocado. Thanks! :) I apply it using a small brush and a cream eyeliner pot from MAC

      Silvia Lakhpatwala I've never used a substitute ingredient but I would try to replace the volume equally: about 1/4 cup applesauce or sour cream per egg.

    hi! I love to try this recipe, but i dont have dulce de leche here, can I use something else to replace?

      rozanne mohamed You can replace it with a caramel sauce but it needs to be on the thicker side, nothing too runny

      rozanne mohamed You can make it your own. just buy a can of condensed milk and put it in a pan with boiling water for 3h and there you have your own dulce de leche!

      twielieng92 Please be very careful when you make your own! Make sure to take off the label and keep the water at a bare simmering. I recommend keeping the pot covered just in case.

      Just cream cheese might not work very well but you can use a combination -half cream cheese, half butter :)

      Hanane Aslouj Hi! :) You want to use cooked condensed milk, or dulce le leche. Essentially, the can of condensed milk is cooked while it's still closed at a very low temperature in a pot of water for a few hours.

      This can absolutely be refrigerated, the marshmallow will be just fine :)

    Well I new regarding on baking I try most of the time doing the frosting but always is super liquid, I dont had a special mixer like you I used one cheap I bought at Walmart of hand mixer do you think that why?? I follow u instructions step by step 😭💔

      Hi! You don;t need an expensive mixer to make the frosting, even a handheld mixer will work. if your frosting is too runny, perhaps your butter is too soft/melted. The butter needs to be just soft, not melted. If that happens again, just place the entire bowl of frosting into the refrigerator for an hour, then whisk again.
