  • Moving to Europe From Jamaica Part 3 | Portugal: In this video, I share Part 3 of my experience moving to Portugal from my home country Jamaica: from watching my first film at a film festival in Portugal to buying my first ever book written in Portuguese. This is Part 3 in a Part 3 series. In Part 1, I share my packing process, COVID testing and give you a little insight into the beginning of the journey flying from the Caribbean to Europe. In Part 2, I share my travel journey: From Panama City - Amsterdam - Lisbon. I also give a bit of insight into my first 48 hours in Portugal: driving around Lisbon (Lisboa) and Almada etc. If you have any questions about the trip, or questions about Portugal specifically, please drop them in the comment section and I will put them on my list of new videos to make.
    Até já!

    How are you? Hope the weekend went as planned! Here is the last video in the 3 Part Moving to Europe (Portugal) from Jamaica series! This final video in the series is just a wrap-up of the whole moving transition, but of course, do expect more videos of Portugal, as I have a lot of footage still needing to get edited and a ton more to experience. I'm trying to post them in bite-size pieces like 4-5 min videos, but let me know if you prefer longer documentary-style videos instead! Feel free to comment below so we can keep in touch! Cheers

    Maybe you could share your experience with the language and obstacles you've faced/you're facing.
    Cost of living there from your point of view as well.

      @@ShauntelAngelica Right now you will experience the worst weather. Yes, it gets a lot better around March. When you rent or buy a place, ask about insulation. Make sure you visit all the beautiful gardens in Lisbon. There are many!

      Yes, I also thought so too of how cheap it is here. 12euros??? OMG 😭 Also in Jamaica it is not too cheap either about 8 or 9 euros when converted. I am happy that you enjoy longer videos, I will work on that.

      @ShauntelAngelica  Год назад

      @@adewumianthony8449 Sorry I did not see the comment. Portugal is expensive compared to the wages you get, especially in Lisbon, it is hard. If you have a remote job from a stronger economy then you are good. Getting a job is hard. Most definitely. You'll find yourself looking for months without anything, especially if you prefer not woking in a call centre.

    I'm still trying to figure out the attraction to Portugal for black people. This country is so racist. Did you know that most African slaves were taken by these people? I wish you all the happiness in the world, but they do not like people in Portugal. I lived there for a while, and I lost my faith in humanity and it was restored only when I left this damned country.
