My guy friend talked about it a lot, and I felt lost and intrigued at the same time. I started learning and picking up a couple of things. He seemed eager to teach me but I felt like a bother, and my questions were never based on the basics. I just like picking up random and more interesting facts about jdms/cars to keep my interest piqued.

I really like this idea. Would also really like more in depth of what individual parts do and what upgrading them does ie valves, springs, injectors etc and other supporting mods for upgraded parts.
yup, that would be cool! if you ever have to rebuild an engine i recommend taking a lot of pictures so you will remember the places of the parts

i’m considered as a car girl, my boyfriends a car guy and he knows everything and more about cars. i don’t know a lot, not because i don’t care but because i can’t retain information that well. the best advice i got from someone in the community was “you don’t need to know everything to be a car person. if you have that passion, and that drive, that’s what makes you a car person.” take with that what you will

First off, thank you for being so welcoming for people like myself who want to learn more about cars. Honestly, I’ve always been so interested in cars but I never knew where to start or what to even ask. Also, I’ve gotten a lot of negativity from people in the car community for not knowing as much as them. It’s whatever though, that doesn’t change my perspective on my interests for cars whatsoever. I’ll never understand why some people in the car community feel the need to make others feel ashamed or bad about themselves for not having the best knowledge about cars😂🤷🏽♀️ likeeee idk... why not teach them about cars instead. Then that way y’all can vibe & connect on something you’re both passionate about.

@@JAfonsoNunesMartins10 it's not lazy. they probably looked up basics of cars like i did to learn about all the engine shit, so yes it is a little confusing when the op assumes that we all already have basic information of how engines work. some people are coming from absolutely no knowledge and want to learn.

I thought this was a pretty good video with lots of info. I'm a mechanic and have been around the car scene for a while, so none of this was new to me, I really liked that you're trying to inform the viewers. I think you should make more videos like this.
I'm 15. I know a few of these things mentioned and learned a new few things. I take all of my free time learning about cars. I work 40h a week and I'm saving for a toyota 86. When I turn sixteen, I'll work at a car shop and this summer I am taking classes to get my NATEF certifications because I want to work towards my ASE certifications. I've been in the car community about seven months but no one is teaching me, I am completely self taught and I have been to one lowkey car meet and hardly have any true car enthusiast friends. This video is great, I appreciate it.

this is like learning a second language. at the start you only know the main words but later on you get to know different part, engine types (including v16 and w), and tools (fart can, and blinker fluid😂).

It’s the car terms that I always wanted to learn and understand and this video was super amazing for that!
I had my windows and back lights limo tinted and the person who did it was so nice and he explained everything he was doing and showed his mods and great ones for beginners or ones better to have someone with more experience to assist or do.
I love cars and I started with a Saturn ion, then Mazda 3S and now my dream car since HS, Infiniti g37 coupe AWD V6! I have done some cosmetic mods internally but I hope to do more externally and under the hood!

my boyfriends biggest passion is cars. you can point out literally any car you see, and he can tell you the the exact make, model, and even the year. he is so smart. i’ve always wanted to get into cars but even more so now lol
It really is a strange thing car guys can do, if you want to know how to do something like this I can't reccomend a place to start except just watch car videos and be around the car community on the internet. For example, you could watch car reviews by some famous car reviewers and you'll learn more abot them besides the model and make.
It will be a fun experience, also if your boyfriend doesn't do this already you can learn how to do basic maintenace like changing the oil, brake pads, etc. and you'll save lots of money.
You're a great girlfriend for being so invested in your boyfriend's passion, I'm sure he loves that!
