What a beautiful view behind you while you're in the meadow talking @ 13:00 or so. Such a smart man your father was to settle the Homestead where he did. I'm glad to discover you and Charlott again. You're a beautiful pair of hippies. I enjoy Eiven and Eve's channel too. You're special people. Thanks for being here on RUclips for us to enjoy your humor and knowledge. Lol Peace man, c ya later
That was very sweet to do with the kiddos! My son and I used to hide a rubber spider all around the house for each other to find, also a very large grasshopper to hide in the aunt's garden. it was fun and made a lot of great memories. I'm in the market for some new creepy crawlies to use with my grandchildren. Enjoy Otto!
I can't believe that old tractor of yours can still do all that, you keep her running good, I love the idea you came up with when you got the skeleton!!❤️😅 🙌🏻
Hello from Texas. Otto I just found you a few days ago on u-tube and could not believe it. You and the family look well. Always loved the series and glad to see y’all again ❤😊❤😊❤😊❤😊❤😊
Just started watching you. You remind me so much of my dad. He passed away 2 yrs ago so watching you helps me deal with the loss of him. We did everything together, from hunting to cutting firewood and raising animal. Miss him so much, so thank you for posting your videos. Oh, and to control your daisies...frequent mowing of the field to prevent them from flowering and going to seed works great. Don't mow too short so the hay grass isn't stressed. Also don't graze your cattle on that field until the daisies are gone or it may spread to other fields they graze on.
Oh Otto, I am so glad you weren’t hurt, but you make every situation funny!! August is not only your hero, but handsome to boot! The scenery is so beautiful behind you while you were sitting in the meadow visiting with us. I am very glad you decided to start your own channel! It’s like visiting a good friend! I have never heard the little kid’s song, and that was wonderful that you recognized Charlotte and her hard work getting everything ready for your BBQ. 💕 My best to her! You had as much fun with the Halloween prank as the kids did!! 👍. I bet they remember that one!! Thanks for the good time, Otto! Love from Pennsylvania 💕🌷🐻
Hi Otto , luv the channel. Re ideas for the flower meadows. Remember the saying make hay while the sun shines, well with all those flowers why dont you invest in bees and make honey while the sun shines.?
That video was really good you sharing things with us about the meadow and the great time's with your family!!! Take care be careful!! I as all ways look to seeing you on the next video!!!
every video I watch of yours and others I always say the view alone is worth the life and dedication it takes to live the life you and your family lives GOD Bless all of ya
✨🙏🌊💙🌎💙🌊🙏✨...you can make tea, moisturizer, balm with beeswax with the daisies, even infuse some with your CBD oil, if you're still growing it that is....🙂 Otto..you are such a gift, i would love to hangout with you and do farm stuff...you are a national treasure....8th wonder of the world...lol...😅... thank you Sir...
Great video!! WOW!! i'm glad Otto is ok. i Love watching your channel! the views on your land is Awesome and Beautiful! GOD' Bless all of you always. Amen :)
I wonder if just mowing the meadow with daisies earlier or more often would help. Definitely need updates on what you decide to do. Former dairy farmer from Pennsylvania following along
GOATS ! Here in Southern California I've seen landowners rent herds of goats to cut down vegetation. Find out if goats will eat that kind of daisy. It's worth a try. The tanning bed looks like a mini greenhouse 🤔🤔🤔🌱🌱
JADAM: Improve overall soil health with practices like composting and mulching. Healthy soil encourages beneficial organisms that can outcompete or suppress the target weed. Soil health and cover crops that can choke them out, where I live I use clover. Much admiration from Michigan!
Keep the flowers from going to seed cut the tops before they go to seed are they annuals or perennials i know you don't want to use herbacide but the mite make something for brod leafs to spot treat
What ever happened to your brother Atz? I hope he is still with us. You were always the goofy brother and he was much more serious. Don't ever conform Otto, the world wouldn't be the same. I love your videos, stay safe and healthy. The whole family included. I do wish your videos were a little longer and I love when you explain what and why. Always watching from Panama City Florida, USA. 🇺🇸🦅 !
Your father chose one of the most Beautiful places on Earth to homestead and raise a family. I can only imagine what it would be like to grow up in God's country.
Otto, you should get your soil tested cause it's missing some kind of mineral that's allowing the wild daisies to grow & take over...might need to be limed
I'm not sure it will help, but it sounds like ox-eye daisy is eaten by horses, sheep, and goats. I'd imagine that camelids could put a dent in it too, that's if you're not opposed to llamas and camels. Maybe a careful equine grazing management system could help knock back or remove them from your meadow. I've seen horses eat vegetation to the ground in a lot of instances and hate to advise such a heavy handed approach to the problem. Overgrazing would probably be worse than a field of flowers, but if you get the stocking density just right they might keep them cropped at the right height to eradicate them. Outside of that, mow the heck out of it to keep it from flowering and hope that they give up the ghost. Hope it helps...food for thought at least.
I'm sure others have said it but, is it just me or is this channel 100times better than the tv show!?
Otto always looks like he’s in his happy place when he’s riding the tractor mowing grass
Otto the older you get, the crazier you get, Love your videos!!!
Getting your grandkids to play a joke on everyone was great. Your fun and great grandfater to be around. Thank you for the video Otto.

15:12 The only way to get rid of those flowers as you have to burn the field you have to do a controlled burn and re-seed the grass.
