I lost it when Neal said "You're my best friend" to Peter then Mozzie breaking down and then Peter saying "You're free". It was like a tragic combo platter of sadness.
@@Jack-nb8bu I kinda thought they should have had Elizabeth come to the hospital and her reaction but it's probably a good thing cuz it would have just intensified the sadness lol
I was so sad when they stopped doing this show...so very sad. I mean the writing and all of the actors in it were great. And the characters....wow just wow. Loved them all. So glad that Neal pulled the ultimate con though. Wouldn't it be great folks if they did the occasional tc movie and continued the series that way...kind of like the mission impossible saga...or Man from Uncle kind of thing!! I'd love them ...one every couple of years maybe...hint hint.. lol
This scene made me cry because it shows you how much Peter cared about Neal. The music and him crying. And the part he says ' your free now' made it even better.
Yes, And the slight look back after he says "you are free" as though expecting neal to give a quick witted reply, standing beside him. Thats when he finally realises neal isnt there anymore, That breaks him. Beautiful and subtle piece of acting by Tim dekay.
I love how Neil saved peters life by setting a blank in the gun that Keller took as protection. Just a nod to the promise that Neil said to Elisabeth before the heist. The friendship between the two were incredibly well executed.
House of Matrix peter and neal were best friends. Peter risked his entire career countless of times to protect neal and neal risked his life to protect peter. There’s nothing they wouldn’t do for each other.
Did anyone else noticed that all the canvases hanging in the hospital hallway were all gray? Like there's no more art or beauty in the world without Neal?
@@Quitingpostingvidsshortsyes, but at the time neither, Peter, Mozzie, or the audience knew it. We all thought he died. And cried like babies because of it and because the show we loved was over.
ive rewatched white collar several times, this scene always got me. Mozzies emotion is so raw and impactful, always makes me tear up myself. Rest in piece Willie.
Gosh, I only just learned from your comment that he had passed and only just this week finished watching this scene. Nobody else could have played Mozzie better. May his soul rest in peace. 🙏
NFC Kelnayden I haven’t watched S5 and S6 I couldn’t without Sara and how it ended and it won’t anytime soon, but sinc I know how it ended. 5 years later it’s hard because even if he’s still alive he deserved to have a better and normal life.
This show was so good. Had a great ending and it was brilliant all throughout its 6 seasons. Very few shows can achieve that. The cast had great chemistry and of course peter and neal were the best duo with mozzie complementing them so well.
You all know that the current administration would have never honored the contract with Neal. And it makes the con he has pulled even more perilous and precarious.
Lol at the 16 credit cards, various names, 12 hotel key cards, various hotels... Now that I'm less emotional in this scene I can appreciate the humor in that little detail...
Non-con artists don't have credit cards in various names let alone that many of them, etc. It's just humorous because Neal has evidence of breaking the law on his body when he died and Idk you could also see it as other things like tragic but it's a trope played for laughs throughout the series whenever Neal was shown to be a con
This show was one where they ended it before having to jump the shark. If it had gone on any further it would've been hard to explain why Neal was still on an anklet, or they'd have to find beyond rediculous things for him and Peter to solve that hasn't already been done. Ending it here the way they did was a good, solemn way to conclude the journey of Peter Burke and Neal Caffrey. Would have loved a made-for-tv movie where Peter helps Neal out in France to locate Sara Ellis and solve some big international crime as a sort of cast reunion, but now with Mozzie having passed it just wouldn't feel the same.
There was still a lot they could do, but health of the main cast is why they cut it Season 6 was good but rushed it felt like I think they planned originally for 7 or 8 seasons and condensed the last bit into one season.
I was completely wrecked the first time time I watched and was in complete denial. Now every time I rewatch this, I get just as emotional. Freaking Mozzie actually kills me every single time even when I know it really isn't what it appears. I think it is the whole set up followed by Mozzie's hysterics and Peter's forced calm, but either way, this scene is phenomenal, and never loses its value.
I think Mozzie reunited with him in Paris. He left the suits house and said “oh you know I don’t stay in one place long” and then Peter opened the storage unit and Mozzie had put the queen of hearts in there. So in the end I think what the story was, was that Mozzie and Neal left Peter so he could raise his child with Elizabeth and also because without Neal Peter wouldn’t go into the field anymore so he’d be able to be a father to his child.
Yeah I hated that part as well that he let his friends think he was dead. But I like to think to as he faked his death so none of the panther guys would try to get revenge and go after his loved ones. So in a way this was the only way of ensuring Neal could protect them.
I found out neal faked his death accidentally also. But at least just knowing that the death is fake doesn't ruin the plot and such. You have no idea of any of the relationship, where the characters end up after the show, and who they're chasing.
I like how they made you sad before revealing he was still alive. But the second the bottle of wine showed up I knew what was going on. It was the same bottle that neal had in episode one of season one when he escaped prison.
Been waiting to watch something like this for a long time and Im glad I did try White Collar. No dissapointments at all, infact Im not even sad that the show ended (quite perfectly) in six seasons, everything came to a conclusion with the best ending I've seen. Peter and Neal's complex and deep friendship was the best thing about the show, it was beautiful to watch. So good. RIP Neal Caffery.
I have been watching the show so into it, I literally cried the moment he told him " you are my best friend " one of the best shows iv'e seen ever. hope they will make a movie or something more to contiue this amazing parts !
I'm probably the only person who feels this way, but I kinda wish Neal actually died. He's one of my favorite characters, but his "dying words" were so touching. While it's relieving to know he lived, it just didn't sit right that he would put Peter and Mozzie through that intentionally.
That’s true, but I think Mozzie was in on it the whole time and Neal purposefully had that storage unit key in his pocket so that Peter could go there and see that Neal wasn’t dead
So in the White Collar lore, Peter did have to go through temporary mourning but he realized at the end he had that storage key and figured out Neal is alive. It looks like Mozzie joined Neal in Paris because he went to the storage unit and placed the queen of hearts there as a goodbye to Peter because he knew Peter would find the storage container.
I know it is 2 years since you commented but Neal had to "die" to protect Peter, El, and Mozzie from the Pink Panthers. He knew that it was the only way.
I mean, I did have spoilers and I knew what we would see right at the very end of the episode, but this tore at my heartstrings. This and Mozzie's reaction made me sob like a kid...especially the "You're the only one who saw the good in me. You're my best friend" and Peter sobbing part. And of course, the fact that it's the final episode is just so unfair... SPOILER The ending as a whole IMO, was rather depressing. I had hoped Mozzie, at least, would be with Neal. Even better, that the poor guy wouldn't be alone, AGAIN. Pissed off at the stupid FBI and other officials that made it impossible for Neal to keep living as himself in NYC, with his family. Or at least have another series featuring a reunion and an end to all the running. Well, at least the running from the government, with Neal being given a full parole for everything. Though I do think Mozzie was in on it and he played a role to sell it all. No one was supposed to know, after all. He stayed as a favor to Neal to watch over Peter. Although even so, I think his tears were real. He cried for the fact that his friend needed to fake his death in the first place, needed to destroy and abandon all he'd built up for himself, because of the stupid government/officials...and because he knew in order to protect Neal, he would have to leave him alone and could not follow...he cried because he knew Neal would be all alone, again.
You’re absolutely right, the tears of Mozzie were genuine, however he actually figures out what Neals greatest con was, he shows Peter the Queen of hearts, explains how “Neal knew he would die”. Later near the end, When Peter finds the container he also finds the queen of hearts which was left there by Mozzie, as Mozzie is then shown in the background explaining how Neal knew he would die, it’s his greatest con and that’s how he said goodbye which helped Peter figure it all out even more. Mozzie also said to peter “I don’t like to stick around for too long”, that’s him saying he’s off to Paris to find Neal. Mozzie figured it all out a lot sooner than Peter did, and his encounter with Peter was his way of giving him hope and helping him to figure it all out when the time came
Well, yeah, but in a way, he did still die...Neal Caffrey "had" to die to be free. I wish so much that poor Peter could have been let in on the con. I'm sure Mozzie knew and helped him. And whether he did die or not doesn't matter, really. Peter believes he did and the pain and emotion we see is real. Even the pain Neal and Mozzie display. Neal knows it hurts his friend and he doesn't really want to and he means everything he says to Peter...and Moz, well, he knows he cannot tell "the Suit" and El...and he knows his friend is hurting, too...he knows Neal was desparate and that he loves Peter and June and El...
I legit cries when I watched this. I finished the series today and cried for twenty minutes only for him to be alive at the end. They should really do a spin-off!
The fact that he didn't have many people left in his life to cry for him & here he is, with his two best friends right next to him. 💜 Beautiful series.
The storage unit is a three piece closure scene. It's not just about learning Neal's alive. It's about knowing what he's up to and knowing he's not alone. Both Neal and Peter were finally able to move on from each other... And they had to. I feel Neal was reformed because Peter gave him the one thing his father couldn't... his sense of identity. I feel that was the point of their father/son comments to each other. Neal finally knows who he is because of Peter.
Just arrived in Germany from the UK and realised that the slow is not available on Netflix here..... I was at S5 E10. I looked for it on RUclips and came across this heart breaking scene..... First I thought that I don't have to finish it now because of the painful ending but people say that that's not the final scene?! I'm confused.. patience I guess 🤗
This scene was everything. Mozzie crying then Peter saying “You’re free” but what got me the most funny enough was when Neil said to Peter in the beginning “You’re the only one who ever saw the good in me.” Peter did always believe Neil could be more than a con man but much more 🥹🥹
It's not the whole ending, there is another scene after this one, One year later, so watch that clip!! .. Or if you have Netflix, and you have to watch the last 2 episodes, that's the whole 2 part series finale, to understand it all..
I haven’t watched this scene 🎬 in a very long time. I’m crying 😭 now as I watch this scene again as I did years ago. I love this show. It reminds me of the years when I worked in bank fraud; my most favorite job.
I’m sorry but the ending was absolutely horrible. Neal just left peter? He knew what that would do to him? And mozzie? June? Sara? He was so close to freedom, hell he even had a written contract that was signed by the attorney general. His life isn’t in Paris, Cape Verde proved that. He’s heart will always be in New York so wtf was all that for?
Zuneira Hussain time and time again his freedom was always within reach but Peter has said that through technicalities or something the government will always find a way to keep him bound to New York or the fbi ,essentially rendering his freedom nonexistent with or with out the anklet. Besides this was his biggest con. "Dying" to be born again and be ABSOLUTELY free. New York will always be his home he even sent peter clues about his plan but the government will never see him as a civilian only an "asset"
He really wanted to go to Paris and Keller warned him that if he got his freedom from catching the Panthers, he would always have a target on his back and no one attached to him would be safe. This way he protected the innocent people that he cared about and got everyone off his back (government, panthers, competition, etx) Kinda cold but necessary
I love how EMS isn't exposing the wound...of course the "wound" on the "corpse" is midline but they're dressing oblique, and there's a hell of a lot more blood than that.
Matt Bomer. Soooo gorgeous & such a great actor. My biggest disappointment was finding out he's gay. Women are mourning all over the world over this one.😩💔 BTW don't worry they faked his death. Great show! Great ending!
I loved this show. But how they ended it was horrible because they did not include the entire cast as part of the ending story. They only show two people reacting to Neil‘s death. He had a tremendous impact on so many characters in the show and cast. It was not well thought out.
when the moment Peter says that "You're Free" I just cried like a baby.

I stopped watching the show that last season, I didn't know this was how it ended. Hey, maybe they'll do a White Collar Movie like they did Psych.
He didn't actually die, they faked his death.
HannahGDYB he faked his own death
Nana Wordie ?? I know, that's what I stated above.
HannahGDYB you said they faked his death but okay..
Nana Wordie They as in the tv show.
I legit cried when I watched this part T^T
Matt Bomer ♥
This scene was everything. Mozzie crying then Peter saying “You’re free” but what got me the most funny enough was when Neil said to Peter in the beginning “You’re the only one who ever saw the good in me.” Peter did always believe Neil could be more than a con man but much more 🥹🥹
Im so sad the actor for mozie is dead, I hate cancer so much
This must've been so hard for Neill to hear. Mozzie freaking out and Peter helping him come to grips.
It's not the whole ending, there is another scene after this one, One year later, so watch that clip!! .. Or if you have Netflix, and you have to watch the last 2 episodes, that's the whole 2 part series finale, to understand it all..

La acabo de ver de vuelta, ya sabiendo que no iba a morir llore igual,la escena de Peter y mozzi en el hospital me rompió el corazón.
Como que no muere? 😐
This Show and The Blacklist are 2 of my favorite Series ever, I would love a Raymond Reddington Neal Caffrey Crossover
Neal Caffrey's greatest con
Why don’t all of them. Come Back. Miss them a lot.
Mozzie's actor is dead & Matt Boomer is pretty much blacklisted in Hollywood for speaking out about how non-straight actors are treated
”You’re free...”
I need this show back 😢😢😢😢💔💔💔
I used to watch this show but never got around to season 6. I didn't know Neal dies. WOW!
You really need to watch the full ending
One of the best scenes of the show
I haven’t watched this scene 🎬 in a very long time.
This way he protected the innocent people that he cared about and got everyone off his back (government, panthers, competition, etx)
Kinda cold but necessary
PEter sitting and crying breaks me...
I love how EMS isn't exposing the wound...of course the "wound" on the "corpse" is midline but they're dressing oblique, and there's a hell of a lot more blood than that.
One of the best scenes ❤️💔
Gotta love how my RUclips recommendations are spoiling shows for me now. Does RUclips know every Netflix show I watch??
I cried at this episode 😭❤️
this was the first time i cried while watching a show
Does anyone know the song/music that plays in the end of this video?
Matt Bomer. Soooo gorgeous & such a great actor. My biggest disappointment was finding out he's gay. Women are mourning all over the world over this one.😩💔 BTW don't worry they faked his death. Great show! Great ending!
Mozzie calling him Peter was small but very powerful
I loved this show. But how they ended it was horrible because they did not include the entire cast as part of the ending story. They only show two people reacting to Neil‘s death. He had a tremendous impact on so many characters in the show and cast. It was not well thought out.
Super underrated show
what happend to Neal?
he faked his own death !!
OMAYGOD GOOD THING I DIDNT READ THE COMMENTS IN HERE BEFORE FINISHING THE SEASON FINALE. IT WAS HIS GREATEST CON! WHAT A PRO CON YOU ARE, NEAL!
