I agree. Did not notice any evidence of fires with smoke/soot on the ceiling It would be too rugged to get firewood and water in there for daily living. Might make a good spot as a safe. Still cool to see.
Looks like some sort of old jam jar or something. Probably has a note or list in it for others who have also climbed into the cave to sign their name and the date. People do this in deep caves, as well. There will be some sort of jar or container (typically watertight) in the weirdest and most unlikely spot. In deep caves after they have repelled down using 3-4 different ropes in various areas and covered like half of a mile into a cave and then climbed back up into the back of the cave to find that they would need more rope for even more extensions of the cave - and a jar where someone was there previously with papers that others have signed to say that they have been there.
Just a thought but, the easy way into that cave was the one you found, with a drone that could drop off that big, plastic jug. There is also a nice crack going all the way up, through the cave entrance , that an excellent climber might use and, lastly, there is a nice ledge above the cave entrance so somebody, with nerves of steel and a good rope, might climb down into the cave.
@702Ken357 I was in it about 15 years ago. You can free climb it, but it isn't easy. There are several small caves and cashes around in that area. It's a longer hike, but easier hiking in from the tank on top from the Redrock side. When I was there it had a small notebook and pen and a couple of stickers. Who knows now. Those things are always changing.

That's pretty cool that you got a rock climber in your footage (2:00)...that side of Ash Canyon is a rock climbing area with established routes. And that climbers cave, is used for climbers to rest.
00:50 -- looks to me like there's a chimney above it, so there may be an opening to the surface, far above. Someone's jar of whatever fell down there, or was left by climbers.

Answer: it's just a container that holds a register to sign your name. Same as you'd find at the top of the same peak (Calico Tank peak or Turtlehead Jr Peak). You just rappel into it. Vegas Hikers or other meetups often lead trips like this. I've signed it a few times. I'm sure it's more exciting to believe its some ancient treasure, but nope.

It’s a geocache. I don’t know if you heard of those but it’s where people hide things and give a little bit of clues and they use GPS to find them. Basically like what you said though there’s a logbook inside that you sign.

Youre looking at old buildings and cities liquified or vitrified in a event that happened worldwide,a enourmous amount of heat and energy would be rquired. Theres evidence everywhere worldwide,cities buried under rock etc, carvings figures melted into rock which is the Remnants of the exterior decor from buildings. I dont know how you geologists cant figure it out or why theres a concerted effort to hide this
