50's heyday was '02-05. By 2006, Hip Hop was transitioning. By 2006 Kanye, Wayne, and T.I were on top. Summer 2007bwas all Wayne. Kanye was on fire too but his lane was a little different at the time. Wayne had the streets on lock on summer 2007. The anticipation for Carter 3 was monumental. There is nothing 50 could have done during '2006-2009" period. Wayne was damn near untouchable.

If it wasn't for 50 cent street credit and him reinventing the mixtapes and making buzz in the streets and him signing with shady after em success of 8 mile movie and him reviving gangsta rap genre after dropping the diamond cd grodt that impact was huge if you think about it he is still the last big east coast rapper and in the time when the south rap was emerging and 50 cent was rapping with southern draw and signing young buck to g-unit it made the southern gangsta rapper like lil wayne more respected especially when wayne was the hottest gangsta rapper in the the south 2002 and it made lil wayne even hotter and lil wayne was rapping like new york guys like dipset and wearing like them and he taking the advantage of all that and then him saying he is the best rapper alive and then started the legendary mixtapes run with dropping the amazing album series tha carter series 1 and 2 and then kanye west beating 50 cent in the first week sales challenge after interscope leaking and bootleging the whole album with the videos months before that week and then the sound of the industry changed to be soft and then lil wayne dropping tha carter iii with the baby face cover like nas illmatic and biggie ready to die albums covers with the soft songs in the album after the hard songs get leaked in the internet and he lost his voice and then he forced to do the auto tune thing and him holding that cup of syrup to make people understand why he lost his voice and to make them understand why he is using ghostwriters because he can't feel his face and he is coming from the LGBT album like father like son and that album idea was taking from the game documentry album song like father like son and was taking from 8 mile b rabbit and future relationship and him doing dreads like future because some racist comments was made by people who watched 8 mile about his 2002 braided hair and birdman was bold like pac it doesn't get lucky more than that and doesn't get any better and am not saying he is not smart because he really is but it is worked for his way soo much after that he became the number 1 still till this day

The more I review these "beef" incidents, the more I notice that the press is the root cause for the majority of rap beefs. They monetize beefs, and this is what motivates the press to continue to instigate them. Artists need to have more comradery with one another against the media.
