Thats great! 3 months ago Rhino safes sold me a Rhino strongbox with bolts and 12 gauge steel, so now they are saying what they sold me is shit.
Companies will always and should always look to innovate. I’d say most safe manufactures are actually scared to make changes or move away from traditional methods. It’s nice to see Rhino actually try to improve on something that’s had the same approach for hundreds of years.
Aww I’m sowwy
Smart bolt lock. I got 1 from Costco this brand.
@@anchoicungdanny868 Was it the Big Horn model?
@@NWSafe yes
Does Rhino give the government the back door codes like Liberty does?
Every company does. I've called at least 6 of the biggest names and they told me "we will always cooperate with law enforcement". That's code for yes.. don't register it and remove the serial number from the sticker on top.
@@realtyrocks1969 The question is.... will they cooperate without a warrant. They should not. If they have a warrant, I have a lot more understanding and they are following the law.
@@Woelfe most refuse to cooperate without a warrant. Even Liberty (as sleazy as they are with their financial contributions to anti-gun entities) will only cooperate with authorities with a warrant.
Switch your locks out to a key lock most locksmiths and safe technicians have a hard time defeating them.
Gotta ask... if you look at the 2:18 mark you'll notice that welds are missing and/or incomplete. Why the hell would you not weld squaretube all the way around? It would take less than 30 seconds to complete that weld. Is this the half ass quality that is built into each Safex?
Go buy a 3k safe no one is stopping you. Grow up
Can we change the lock out with a manual lock?
Yes, it’s available with a mechanical dial lock.
@@NWSafe I was told by Rhino Tech Support that a mechanical lock was in the works due to SafeEx. This was for the Costco Big Horn model 23 cubic feet. Old school like the Mechanical Lock with a combo.
Most professional safe crews use a commercial grinder and cut the sides and bend the steel back like a peel!
Wish I would have gotten a Rhino. I bought an Old Glory thinking it was U.S. made and was very disappointed to find it was Chinese. The fit and finish wasn't near what all the reviews said either. I left a poor review. Go figure they never posted my review 🙄
We're sorry you had to experience that. Unfortunately the safe industry is plague with companies that purposely use U.S. Brand names on import safes like Winchester or Remington, or use American slogans, printed US flags, etc. all to fool customers into thinking their safes are made in the USA. This day in age photoshop and a nice web page can make any poorly made safe look like a quality product which is why we always recommend finding a local dealer to see a safe in person before purchasing. Stay away from internet only safe companies!
Thoughts how it compares to a fort knox maverick as far as prying and real fire ratings? ..go hawks
@@ianb282 Both manufacturers make models that comparable to each other. You’re not going to go wrong with either really just blows down to what you prefer for aesthetic features. We love that both Rhino and Fort Knox are still family owned small businesses making safes in the USA 🇺🇸
@@NWSafe thanks,,,,,i like that they're USA made…
In my industrial career, I have seen a many of bolts in my life snap.
@@jasonparker3173 Snap yes but there’d be no torsion during a pry attack.
Comparison video between Liberty and Rhino safes please
Noted! We will try our best to come out with that video!
@nowweride3094 Any particular models you’d like to see compared between Rhino and Liberty or would you just like to see a general overview between the two companies and what makes them different?
@@NWSafe between the two companies to see the deference would be great! I have a Franklin now looking to purchase a second safe... Rhino cought my eye. I have already delt with Liberty Safe warranty department, I have to say they stood behind there products.. my safe is 7 years old had a internal malfunction.. it took some time but they fixed no charge .. very grateful for that. Looking for the next size maybe a Fat Boy for a comparison?
@@nowweride3094 Liberty does have a great warranty. That’s one of the reasons we’ve continually represented Liberty safes for over 35 years, they stand behind their products. A lot of manufacturers have a great warranty on paper, but when it’s time to make to actually warranty a safe it can be a battle. Liberty has always made warranty claims easy compared to most other brands.
There's a pry test comparison video that is quite good. Two guys pry open the liberty in 1 min 48 seconds. Pretty sad . The Rhino they quit after 10 minutes because they couldn't pry it open.
around the 1:47 mark you'll see an animation. I don't know if I can trust a review that uses the manufacturers marketing gifs in their video
We’ve taken part in a handful of pry test over the years both in house and with other manufacturers. The GIF does a good job of showing what literally happens when a lightweight safe starts to flex/ fail. Sometimes companies have misleading marketing content and sometimes it’s actually useful. This would be a case of the latter.
There is no way that I would trust any of my valuables in this perp trap! No thanks...
What is your concern? Just curious
It’s a strong safe for its price point. Would be curious to know you think is a stronger safe at this level or are you just wanting a higher level security safe like a TL Rated Vault?
MAILBOXES
We're working on a video overview of our mailboxes! Stay tuned!
OK so all round the edge of the door is hollow to accommodate this stupid system?
It’s not stupid if it works 🤷
But like most safes it uses a formed door instead of a plate door but the mechanism essentially does what the plate door would accomplish. In our opinion this system is stronger than the plate doors you’d find on similar priced safes.
