It's our small redback spiders that are highly venomous, but there's antivenom for any bite. Only one person has died from a bite in the last 70 years. I find them under my outdoor furniture and bin lids etc... We just learn to shake our shoes out before putting them on. That's just normal. Look at how many people die from hippopotamus attacks in Africa per year... Every country has scary and sometimes deadly things.
