Loved the shots of Rhaenyra’s and Corlys’s pain in the end. A silence that cuts

You have to make one of these about the evil queen Ravenna from Snow White and the Huntsman❤❤ she has great lines and the character itself is so underrated

You forget yourself my lady. She wasn't even the real claimant, bc the Westerosi lords cannot see how qualified she was.
The Great Queen who should've been would've been amazing with Sea Snake ruling beside her, as her SECOND in command. A position he certainly earned, tho some wouldve called nepotism.
But instead in the book it was actually her male son bc they felt a woman is categorically excluded.
Now don't get me wrong, I've been around women my entire life so I'm all too aware of their unsuitability for such a position. But before you call me misogynist and sexist and worse, allow me to point out that men are - at BEST - nominally better suited for the thankless job.
I love this show and GRRm's work bc here we have several SERIOUS "girl bosses" and no obvious exaggerations are required. They are not shown beating up dozens of larger stronger equally trained men - any one of whom could easily defeat them even with a hand tied (as they did it in Medieval times and few women won despite the substantial advantage).
They are strong, and believable. They have the compassion of mothers, of The Mother. The Beauty of the Maiden. But they have fire, too. They are rational, selfless, and immensely powerful.
To risk your royal life to save the Realm from fire and blood... to lead not bc you like it, or you want it, simply bc it is your duty and it's what's best for the smallfolk.
    They are strong women characters.
But we also see in Ms. rivers a strong woman that wasn't raised as part of the 0.001%
Bc come on how egalitarian can any Targ princess be? Oh and the White worm she's a commoner. I like seeing commoner's perspective bc most ppl are not royalty.
