Ayurveda and no side effects? They do have side effects. Unlike in modern medicine they don't inform that before or don't have data. And btw everything has side effects. U weigh your options and choose accordingly.
Highly disagree with him and other dermatologists who came here before about this point, I don't know why they disregard and diss hair oils so much! Yes, they do help in hair growth, they do help in improving hair thickness. I have had so many phases in my life where my hair was in its best condition when I was oiling it every 3rd day. IT really makes a lot of difference. You can see in rural India itself, sure the environment there is better for your hair, but the practice of hair-oil even among men is still prevalent there, and the quality of hair among men & women is much better in rural areas.
He's right...Oils are just for moisturizing purposes and nothing else...I know many guys who used oil regularly but still had to face baldness at the end..Hair is purely genetics...No hair oil can ever make ur hair thick or help in regrowth..But yeah, massaging them might improve blood circulation..Whether it's urban or rural, if your genetics are bad, no hair oil can save you..I myself faced dandruff since past 2 years..I used to regularly oil my hair with Cold Pressed Virgin Coconut Oil..My scalp is of oily type...Oiling it made it worse despite using several Anti-Dandruff Shampoos..My dermatologist advised me to stop oiling my hair...Since that day, I don't face dandruff...So yeah, pls get out of this traditional dilemma that hair oils make your hair thicker and help in regrowth..Trust Medical Professionals and experienced Dermatologists
Hair oils can moisturize dry ends of your hair and make it look shinier..Nothing else..All these Adivasi Oils are fake..Only genetic matters..SRK once mentioned in an interview that he has never used any hair product including oils on his hair..He just simply washes them with plain water...Yet he has the most beautiful hair in the Bollywood Industry..A beggar in my area also has great dense hair despite his hair being so dirty and dusty...Why so? As a medico somewhere I feel that there’s a lot we don’t know, we are still finding we are still discovering and it will continue and maybe in case of hair oil where you can observe that it has been used since ages may be we need more research on it
The person is unaware of the basics of Ayurveda. English doctors used to say hair oil is just a moisturizer simply because foreigners don't use hair oil. Atleast study from the basics how the medicines are prepared. Or just go through the research papers. This show is losing its credibility! A person with the label of a doctor doesn't make one the same. Study and research on what your grandparents had done before, how people have survived, how people have maintained health... I can't really say if what this guy says holds any merit. However, when it comes to stuff like Finasteride and minoxidil, then when it comes to natural remedies, then as per scientific research Rosemary essential oil comes the closest and in fact as much effective as minoxidil itself.
