So in Swiss German, the German e in Alle turn into an i?? And the E at the beginning of words turn into an Ä? :) and the i in the middle of words as in Schwimmen… how does it turn into Schwümmed?? Essen -> Ässe Eis-> Äis I feel like Swiss German is a little confusing I mean I am much further ahead in Standard German. 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Unfortunately there are many exceptions. You can't just always change E into Ä. For example Esel is still Esel in Swiss German. But in most cases, you can apply that rule, yes. Great that you're doing so much progress in German!

Thank you. So much for this. I was born in Switzerland but moved to uk two years later. My Swiss grandmother Klara used to sing all the Swiss songs to me, when we went back home for holidays. I loved it. Now I want to sing them and teach my granddaughter. This is a perfect way to learn and to refresh my Swiss german. Many thanks from Beatrix 😊
