nah it was Wessex who did worse for the attackers not that guy surprisingly
felt like this faction was played by the AI ^^
Wessex had it tough, did you see how many archers and crossbows were focused on their units, and in the final stage of the battle the other teams attacked in disarray, either too slow or too sloppy. Wessex had the least kills but I'd still say they performed better.

The defenders must've been severely out-matched in terms of troop quality, because they deployed roughly the same numbers as the attackers, got better engagements using their fortifications, and still lost.
you know something is wrong when the defenders have more troops than attackers for less money.
might as well go for peasants.
if you look, the attackers have many more high quality tier 3 units, and they also had more offensive infantry like the beserkers.
its strange that the deffenders lost, they were much more organized oO
the issue is that they had not defended the walls properly, thats the place where defenders have the advantage.
the goal is to kill as many attackers before falling back into the settlement, if you let them take the walls then you are equal in number.
attackers generally field more quality infantry while defenders usually get more ranged, so if you are equal in numbers you will probably lose.
The graphics on this game are just awesome!

They are similar to Attila yes (same engine) but for someone who loves the period it just makes it all that much cooler :-)

During the time of thrones of britannia the English made a deal with the vikings, you get land which is called the Danelaw but you become Christian. So yes the Danelaw is christian.

So does anyone else think that the Viking factions are way too OP?? Every battle I see Vikings spam a ton of bezerkers and elite infantry and slaughter everyone. Unless they make huge mistakes you can’t stop them. Even when they lost HUNDREDS of troops to the oil the defenders stood no chance

The Danelaw guy in the South was a feeder, straight up, and that just ruins the siege when someone throws away hundreds of men, either deliberately sabotaging their allies or they're just so incompetent it's painful to watch.

Big fan of your videos, but damn it's painful to watch some of these. It sometimes feels as if you just pick the first replay and never actually watch it through. Would make for so much more entertaining videos if the players would stop sending half of their army through burning oil.

From over 9000! (Get it?) Subs to 450k it has been a Three long years journey. I used to love watching the long siege battles for New Years i still do and i think you are doing a very good job on these commentary videos, not long before you reach the Millions.
But the one problem i have had is that you don't show your face that often except Live Streams i mean i would love to see the expressions when you watch the beautiful artillery shots against blobs of infantry :D. Nonetheless keep up the good job and keep me entertained.

I think the end is a very realistic situation, in reality no one wants to charge an entrenched shield wall so they wait till the odds are heavily in their favour before charging

Apollo, the only reason that I watch this game is because it made me feel so much better about myself as a commander.
The berserkers in this game are WAY too OP. Especially when you have jack asses spamming them.
best counter would be crossbows, even kinda bad ones, their unit size along with the crossbow ap would butcher them alive

Actually at the final battle the way they atracked was ok. Even retreating spears was fine, like roman legion rotating tired men for a new charge and not just bobling

Boys and girls need a little help from you more experienced players of this game. When i attack a city and it needs siege i can't attack them manually for some reason. I have to siege em and starve em to death for many rounds.. What i am doing wrong? Do i need to research anything? Is my game buged? I am so confused. It is my first game of this kind , don't know much , help boys and girls!!!!!

the unit emblems/markers in battle dont show if its melee, cavalry, or archers... units are not distinguishable.... you have to manually check.... how are you suppose to play a battle like this ????

What's up with these garbage attackers in Thrones of Britannia lately? In the quality v.s. quantity video, there was a player who brought a shit ton of rams instead of siege towers.
Both sides of this battle seemed hilariously terrible. Attackers uncoordinated and random, defenders abandoning walls to fight piecemeal and disavantaged. What a laughable clusterfuck.
3:30 The Angles ARE English, and Danelaw is more or less English.
Do they not normally have rules of how many skirmishers you can bring in Thrones? that 5-crossbow army would be shunned in Rome 2!
Hmm I come 3 years late but crossbows on the walls is not practical if bows are cheaper since crossbows are good because of the "Load and shoot whenever you want to" that is not necessary if you are defending.

Hm, I don't think that's how a shieldwall works. The game looks very nice and all, but it feels like just a reskin. I would love to see some kind of crowd mechanics implemented where units actually have mass, shield wall battles are supposed to be about pushing and shoving.

Had a day off today you know how you just keep up with current vids released well i was watching old vids I was thinking I like to come back I forgot how much I enjoyed Thrones of Britannia maybe you can bring this back again Apollo I'd enjoy a vid or two of this.
That is one intense and frustrating battle, you be like: WHY YOU DO THAT MAN!
And i'm talking about the player who commanded the troops, mindlessly charging the gates with a boiling hot lava of death and still won that battle.

I believe most of the vikings added (christian) god to there list of (viking) gods.
To be honest, I’m pretty sure most Viking raids consisted of only a couple hundred men at most who attacked relatively small coastal or riverside English villages that only had a small garrison of men to defend the town.
I think welsh or circenn should have saved up 2-3 units of longbow or crossbow for the end battle to fire at the big blobs. Lots of ammos are wasted it looks like. But berserkers just too op. Especially one of the East Engle has half of his troops made up by berserkers.
I get learning the game but there were very.......unorthodox decisions made. On both sides.

For those of you complaining about the fps.. it is incredibly hard to maintain 60 fps or above in a total war game with this many bodies in the screen at once. I don’t care if you have an over kill rig. Still hard
I am having a slight suspicion that berserkers may be a little OP ya know? I mean I know that 800 kills by a unit against elite forces isn't much but maybe berserkers should be nerfed a bit or have a limit on how many you can bring ya know?
When do you guys think they'll add blood to the game? I heard they do it as a DLC usually so will it cost money? Or are there no plans at all to put blood in the game? This is my first computer game so I don't really know how that works
What would be the best game to start with? I've recently wanted to start playing again and the only two I've played was Rome and Medieval but I was a kid and don't remember much of them.

I think that if you're both a fan of Total War, and love the shows Vikings or The Last Kingdom, you'll enjoy this game.
