I was lucky enough to be invited to this amazing gig. One of the best days of my life. As far as I'm concerned this is the real Wishbone Ash and always will be.
AS an aging player myself, I appreciate what it takes to get up there and rock. Here in the States, Wishbone Ash does not get the airplay they deserve. I never miss an opportunity to turn people on to them. Some of the greatest rock every… Thanks guys!
Without a doubt, one of the best and most important groups of great and wonderful English rock, from the early 70's to today. Since I first heard the album Argus in 1973 or '74, I fell in love with the beautiful sound of Wishbone Ash. One of the best records in history, Argus has put this group in the stratosphere. To this day, when I hear one of his songs, I get touched as I first heard it in the '70s. Long live for Wishbone Ash, the best among the best!
Sheer pleasure to watch these gentlemen playing their stuff. Ted and Laurie alongside each other on stage - what a treat! On a more regular basis perhaps, gentlemen?
Great!!!.i saw WA 3 times in France(81,83,84) the first was in june 81 just when Martin left the band.I was 17 years old and i learned guitar on their great songs. great memories!! from France.vivve WA!!
Great to see this! Just goes to show there's only 1 man that can bring these WA giants together on stage. Superb 1st time ever twin performance by Ted and Laurie, and what a powerful voice Ted has! Probably always too much of a gentleman to push himself up front like, er, some other guitar heroes. Thanks for sharing this video. My first and only gig of Wishbone Ash was in 1987 (I was 17 years old) so this is more or less the band that I've been missing!
as a Wishbone Ash Fan I gotta say..I am blown away from from this jam session,, next to FREE BIRD,,all this is totally F-ing awesome. I recommend my son listened to this to understand the path I have taken. No amount's of primo alcohol or smoke'n veggie's can make this better.
Keeping a band together this long is tough. You have alot of incredible talent trying to blend together keeping individual pride in check. They allowed each other to work there sound into each song. Thats why they were so long Muiltable songs in one. Powell was probably a tough guy but he aloud the talent to come out naturally. I grew up with this music. Class 76. I listen more today at 57. I would love to see beck with Powell and martin. Mayfield.
Thanks a bunch Martin - This video even though its recorded on a phone and is in bits - its still far better that we [mortals] can go and see live anywhere - only managed to see your new band once -The Point Cardiff twas awesome.
got an invite to this but sadly couldn't go due to holiday.....missed an absolute treat.....anyone know what the reference to Leeds United is on the wall behind Ray??

Awesome video and music. Thanks for posting Martin. OMG, Steve Upton was a treat to see. One of the best percussionist ever.
I was there! Reason was to thank close friends and Family for their loyal support of Martin Turner's Wishbone Ash. Never forget that memorable day.

SWEET! Amazing seeing Ted and Laurie on the same stage together!!! WOW
Watched it in delight! Young lads that I remember, now kind of staid gentlemen, but boy can they rock! Amazing!
Brilliant. Brought back so many memories of seeing the band at the Liverpool Stadium and the Liverpool Empire in the seventies :)
Absolutely amazing ! Thanks for sharing ...

Fantastic, what was the reason for this garden party? Was it a meeting of their fan club ?
Or a private date?
Where is Andy Powell !!?
He is not in this band. He is in the AP WA who are touring separately.
peter croft I'm pretty sure, the two will never play on the same stage again
peter croft Washing his hair.
Is that Steve Upton?
Anyone else thinks Ted looks like Clapton's younger brother?
