Landscapes are really comforting for me to paint, so I thought I would do this relaxing 'paint with me' tutorial of a simple landscape that you can totally do even if you are starting out with gouache :)

This was fantastic. I followed along. So clear and can see colour mixing. I have been unable to paint for 6 months and this helped me to begin again. Thank you. Now subscribed and will look for more of your gouache tutorials.

Hi! I was wondering what type of pencil you use to sketch under your other gouache paintings, and also how do you keep the sketch from getting all smudged when you paint on it?
Ahhh sorry i have just seen this! I didn’t sketch under this painting but when i do i actually just use a regular hb pencil, sometimes color pencils as they don’t smudge at all. But i find that because i use so many layers of gouache it doesn’t really matter what is underneath- hope that helps!
I love you❤
What sketchbook are you using ?
this is a Strathmore toned grey mixed media journal :)
What is sian (sp?) color please. I googled but doesn't come up. Actual beginner here. Thank you, trying to learn gouache
Hi! Cyan is the blue- search for primary cyan. These colors are more vibrant than the usual primary red yellow blue combo. Hope that helps!
Doing this rn and haha i think i failed the clouds. Im not the best with clouds but my white gouache doesnt wanna be vibrant TT
clouds can be tricky for sure, if you feel like they are muddying or not as vibrant, make sure you let the layer completely dry and go back in with the white. Also check that your sky is dark enough so that there is contrast- the white paint looks brighter this way. Hope that helps!
This is my first time using gouache so mine ended up really messy 😅
You speak to much but not on the point, not aboutbthe techniques.
I am sorry that I have lost 15 minutes here
