  • As this housing crisis continues, heirs’ property issues are becoming more and more common in Florida. We're talking about property that gets passed down to family members by inheritance without a written will or paperwork that specifies it goes to them. In some cases, there is a will that leaves the land to heirs', but it doesn’t specify who gets what.

Why can’t you keep it? If you don’t mind me asking?

I’m not sure my father was in the military he was 100% disabled my mom doesn’t pay property tax home owners a year about 1600.00 maybe more why? I just know I’ll have to reach out to my brother. I don’t know how much longer my mom has? She been through a lot she did make a will and trust for me. If I had my way I think I’ll go home to Germany and give my son this house.

I hate the state of Florida. My father and brother have died. It's just my mother and myself. Now, I am finding out that even if my mother leaves me her home, I cannot sell it. This will end up in probate for 6-12 months or more. I cannot afford to keep my mother's home. I would need to sell it right after she dies but because of Florida laws, I cannot. I hate Florida.

@Vbails171 Have her put your name on deed. Then you'll have ownership at her death....just add your name
