The males don’t usually hunt for food, they usually stay and protect the pride lands. I mean males can hunt of course but that’s not what they are really for. Females are for the hunting (they also have the stamina and the most training for it).

Males mainly come in use when another male or a another pride attacks them....So the male along with the rest of the pride can defend themselves from the rival pride when the females are hunting.....
