how to export and import MYSQL database using phpMyAdmin for archiving

Using phpMyAdmin of the XXAMP system, a MYSQL database with several tables is exported to a text .sql file stored locally and the database destroyed. Next the database is recreated and the tables imported. The restoration is a way to archive against loss of data.

I have accidentally closed the export process. Now the desktop app can not connect to the web db. What should be the problem?

+Romel Indemne Export it again. The connection may have failed on the import process on a different installation if you did not create the appropriate database in phpMyadmin.
