Nah, this is completely cringe and is one of the core reasons many stopped playing DBD. Dead by Daylight is meant to be a scary game, and the silly cosmetics were already pushing it. Outloud, the concept does sound ridiculous. But there are some dark undertones that carry this character pretty well. A good example is a movie called White, a Melody of Death that shows how brutal things can be in the K pop industry.
They always have had incredibly unique concepts for killers in their game, until recently I feel like they started losing their touch. The skull merchant is an example of a killer with horribly thought out lore that doesn’t make sense, and doesn’t match her design or power. The knight was a bit boring, not the most original idea. And the singularity was alright, a little generic in terms of deign. Compared to their older killers, like the huntress, plague, wraith, and trickster, they’re just not as unique in terms of design
Ridiculous in the fact that they get factual things wrong. Like Trickster’s tome where the police officer shots the victim because he had a knife. Total bull. The cop just shots without uttering a word. There are rules in place that police officers have to follower or they risk their job and going to court for the misuse of their authority. Rules of engagement. A police officer must warn a suspect to drop their weapon. You can get in a whole lot of trouble for not saying this. Even if the person is about to attack, you can still warn them before shooting them. But this officer in the tome just looks at this guy with a knife out in the open and shoots him. Are you serious? Is BHVR that stupid? None of them could have looked into criminology so can have a more accurate story? But no, make it look like police officers are in the right for not following the rules of engagement and not be reprimanded for it
@@fart63i never thought id hear someone say "Singularity" and generic in the same sentence Idk about ya, but the Singularity is honestly one of THE most unique villain concept not just in DBD, but in horror in general
I like how Yun Jin isn't portrayed as a victim or accomplice in their lore. She is a shark and despite her suspicions of Ji Woon, she really didn't push for the truth since it'd destroy her as much as it would him if she were right about his involvement in all those slayings that followed them on tour. Edit: In her defense, I guess, Ji Woon *is* a trickster. If I recall the tome story right, the man faked his own kidnapping and near murder to throw suspicion off him while also reducing the competition.
She was blocking herself from knowing. When he pulled his final stunt and confessed he was going to murder her, it all clicked and she was infuriated with herself for not realizing sooner. But in her mind she 100% knew and didn't rat him out because her career was in the line too.
Dead By Daylight have created so many horror themed maps, but I want one that’s situated in a comfortable environment or familiar environment that reminds people of safety, examples would be shopping mall, theme parks and public playgrounds, a sports stadium, a museum, a church and graveyard for another horror map.
Well the hospital would remind someone of safety because it's a hospital which means care from medical professionals. Another example would be Midwidich elementary school because when people see an elementary school, they imagine kids sitting at their desk doing (sometimes) fun and (nearly all the time) boring activities. But this is silent hill so...yeah
I love this opening I’m really big into anime and when I booted up dead by daylight I was distracted by something I thought I had opened a different game for a second haha
Conceptually the Trickster is one of the least terrifying killers, but when considering that someone like him could exist makes him the scariest. Realistically, he's the scariest.
ik im really late to comment, but can i say that yun-jin is probably the most likely to be a killer out of all the survivors? like she literally said she'd get revenge on the trickster for ruining her career and the main reason most killers in dbd became killers is bc of revenge. Not to mention she's also selfish guessing by her perks, a common trait in bad people. I wouldn't be surprised if in a trial with the trickster, she would stop running and just pounce on the trickster like a crazy person, grab one of his knives or his bat, and start repeatedly stabbing/hitting him with the knives/bat
This honestly makes me wonder how Ji Woon would react, it's just despite knowing he has to kill her I some twisted way he still has gratitude and considers her a friend because she was the one that gave him hie chance at fame, if she fought back against him would he be resentful for standing up to him or proud that she's fighting back, taking Ji Woon's narcissism I'm guessing it'd depend how it came across to him, as a sort of epic chase he'd probably love it, as in him actually dying to her I'm not sure, maybe he'd see some irony with " I gave you the famous life and I can take it away just as easy" either way I'm not sure he'd too much of either long as he get's to perform something amazing and honestly for him there'd be nobody better than Yun Jin to kill him, I'd bet he'd agree with that too
