Now all you have to do is wait for the restoration of a bench grinder--(say on the 16th February 2023!!)--and then you will have the basics of a good tooling station! A good first video, top class vise, and a good job done!
Very nice restoration! I just recently realized how much time goes into filming and editing content. It is hard to put something out that captures the entire process and still keeps your audience engaged. Watching this video made me realize that if a viewer is into the content, it doesn't matter how long the video is. Thank you! I will no longer be worried about putting out long videos and just be focusing on the process and the content. Well done.
Wow Big Life, thank you! That’s a huge compliment you give there! And so true, I had the same struggle with this video. We want to capture the whole process without it to get boring. I’m glad you made in to the end 😄 Curious what you are up to, so here’s a new subscriber…💪
@Kasper’s Workshop Manners I have gotten into vise collecting and put up two videos so far. I plan on doing videos on Axes, spokeshaves, planes and other tools. It's a lot more work than I had imagined but enjoyable.
I understand your comment and it’s true! But cast marks are unintended production flaws. What I try to do is reach the ‘perfection’ the maker of the vice probably had in mind. At least in my mind and vision 😉
Thank you hasserecht! Actually I did not want to use filler but sanding the deep pitting was really hard. Normally I’m not affraid of these kind of jobs but this was a real pain. Hope you enjoyed watching and thanks for taking the initiative of leaving a reaction! 👍
@@kaspersworkshopmanners Yeah don't get me wrong. The restauration is insane. In my case i just love the appeal of the rough cast iron. For me sandblasting and painting would have been enough. But hey it's your project and the amount of love you put in to it is awesome.
Češi. Nejen, že vyrábějí skvělé zbraně, ale také skvělé svěráky! Píšeš, že byl vyroben v letech 56-72, ale byl vyroben v březnu 80. Czechs. Not only do they make great guns, they also make great vises! You write that it was made in 56-72, but it was made in March 80.
Do you realize that other countries may not spell English words the same as we do? You're probably from the south and don't speak the Kings English anyway.
That's one sweet little vice!!!!
Looks new. Great job!
Wow! This is you, doing what you do best and what makes you happy! Nice work!👏
You are absolutely right! 😘
Great work. Super result. Looking forward for the next restauration.
Thank you very much for this great feedback! It’s important to get good feedback from your teacher…😉
Excellent job!! I enjoyed your restoration very much. Thank you
Thank you Amos for taking the time to let me know! I really appreciate it! I’m working on a new restauration at this moment so stay tuned! 😉

Super
Nice work man but I think I preferred the cast texture. These are tools for working people not ornaments !

Great job. Don’t listen to those saying a working tool shouldn’t look good, it is still a working vise.
Another beautiful piece ruined by filler. Damn. But the rest of the restauration is top notch. Really good.

York made in Czechoslovakia
I doubt this vise was used more than a couple times.
Its not even in bad shape, that's how a vise looks. What do you mean it deserves a second life? Lol
Hahaha!! 😅👍

Hi Moon, thanks for your info! I absolutely love this vice! And it is good to know about that production date to…
Can’t anybody spell vise?
Because…?
You must be a lot of fun at parties....
