I've been collecting this coin since I was kid around age 6 or 7. I remember seeing in a coin guide that the rare version was valuable. I have approx 200 of them but sadly none have the rare variation!
For anyone who doesn't want to count beads: To tell the difference between the large bust vs small bust - look at the dots on the Queen side of the quarter. The dots that go around the quarter should line up against the rim. If there is a gap between the dots and the rim (enough to fit another row between them), then unfortunately you have the more common small bust. Happy hunting!
Just watched your show .Interesting . I have a quarter with the RCMP with that date you mentioned.Also a nickle with king George dated 1929 .I was wondering i have a silver dollar with Jacques on it dated 1534 to 1984 and a fifty cent piece dated 1978 silver .
I am checking out this RUclips again as I picked up 10 rolls of quarters and if you can believe it 8 of them were 1973 RCMP quarters so 320 RCMP’s. Somebody was collecting them and then they or their family turned them back to the bank. I will start to examine them for the large bust. Thanks for the video re knowing how to distinguish the varieties of small and large bust. Wish me luck.
you should take a trip to the mint in Ottawa! you'll see plenty of RCMP. living in Ottawa near a lot of embassy's i see rcmp all the time and they rarely enforce any laws, they are more often like private security for the rich diplomats. i cant complain. i have seen a few interactions where they scald someone for speeding but they dont tend to arrest or ticket ppl, thats the Ottawa police service and anything on highways is OPP but in more rural Ontario and northern Canada RCMP is all they have for law enforcement. im loving your channel!! oneday ill have to go through my hoards of coins.
Hello I was just sorting out father in law stuff and I found several horse quarters they are both 1973 yet the queen looks different on both? The A location on one seems to line up with a dot? Oh well not sure what to do just put it back in the change can. Can I clean these up?

Thanks, your video help me realize I have a large bust!! Quarter horse quarter that is, still looking for my own large bust, no where to be seen. Also I found a 1943 authentic American copper wheat cent penny. Can't get rid of it anywhere, the date is very hard to see but after several pictures, opinions, video made to see which date/last digit fit the best and cleaning it a little bit just so see date but not damage, it's definitely a 1943. London gold buyers wants to book an appointment but I'm not sure what to ask for AND I don't want to be ripped off or scammed, I'm a single mother of a severe special needs child and could use the money from the sale. Any idea what the starting price is REGARDLESS of condition as this coin is VERY rare and there's a history lesson/story behind it ad well and the reason they stopped making 1943 coins in copper. Please someone, AGAIN REGARDLESS of condition, what is the starting price of a USA 1943 copper wheat cent penny. I seen it at 100,000 but I really doubt that. In my dreams.
My 1973 is in crappy condition but i have doubling of the Queens face. Its like a ghost image. Any idea what that could be worth in the ballpark? EDIT* Upon further inspection of many 70's quarters in finding ghosting of the queens face on lots of the quarters. Thought it must be my usb microscope but it would happen to all coins and mine doesn't but the queen's face is ghosted on many quarters

I have several RCMP Quarters one of these has uniformed blackness will this detriment the price or can it be cleaned thank you.....
