Thats going to get old fast sitting with your arm around the bow like that. The third hand is much heavier, but you can tilt it forward to where the bow at least allowed you to sit in natural position. I like the regular sidekick on the platform of my .5 and 1.0 though and that’s how I’ll run it. If I used anything on the seat it would be a third hand. I use third hands on the seats of my LW hand climbers and they don’t cause me to have to sit like that.
Just FYI for anyone wanting to buy the extended sidekick in early 2023: They got a batch that has a thicker coat of the anodized coating. The bolt does not fit in any holes so you can’t mount it. Support says you have to use a 1/4 drill bit to widen the hole. LW will not exchange it for a good one because they are still selling this bad batch! They will only refund. This rubs me the wrong way… these should be sold as defective/scratch n dent!
@@MichiganAmBushOutdoors This is my experience. I'd call sales and ask which batch they're selling. Some people won't mind drilling a larger hole, yet I just don't want to risk it rusting. And I don't want to return and then pay for shipping again. I feel what's fair and not to mention, the right thing to do, is to do an exchange for a product that works out of the box or offer it as a scratch n dent discount.
@@MichiganAmBushOutdoors I have an update! Their customer service finally called me back after 2 weeks (from first call) and they will process an exchange with no extra shipping out of my pocket. I just have to wait until they get extended sidekicks with larger holes (no eta). I was also told that it won’t rust when it’s drilled because it’s made out of aluminum. I feel much more confident about LW standing behind their products now! Yet I still believe the current batch should be sold as scratch n dent, or they should drill larger holes before sending them out the door. Thanks again for listening!
Would you suggest the extended or the regular for putting the sidekick on the platform (not the seat)
Regular.
@@MichiganAmBushOutdoorsthanks for the response!
@steviemason7962 anytime! Always happy to help.
Any idea how well these would hold a recurve?
I do not, but I know the owner of LWCG uses a recurve and uses them to hold his bow. Check out Dying Breed Bow Hunter on instagram.
For a lefty can I just flip it upside down and run that?
Yes. Depending on the bow, you might need to unscrew the one arm and flip it so the bow can sit properly.
Ordered two after seeing at roadshow, can’t wait to get mine!
It's pretty nice. I like how you can tuck it away when you're not using it.
Will it interfere with arrows in a 2 piece quiver?
As long as arrows don't hang below the limbs, it shouldn't
You can also mount the Sidekick Extended Edition on the bottom platform where your feet go can't you?
Yes. Anywhere on the platform

Thanks man!

I agree. When I run it on the seat, it would be during prime shooting times.
I'll have to check out the third-hand bow holder. Thanks for the tip.

Is this for real?

I'm surprised by that.
Their customer service has always been great anytime I have dealt with them

Thank you for the update man. I'm glad to see they took care of you.
