Good video, thanks so much for posting. One thing to remember is there is almost always, with very few exceptions, another exact guitar out there just like the one you want. Don’t obsess so much you take a bad deal. Wait for your price.
When I sell a guitar I calculate how much it would have cost me to rent it.. or what it would have cost to lease it.. much like a car. Then I do the research on current value and go from there. Owning guitars rarely is an investment. It takes a rare and desirable guitar to have increased in value. I have owned 15 Martins, I have a couple now. One is a 2015 00-18 V with flamed mahogany backs and sides. It's a rare one so has held its value better than the standard issue 00-18V. And now since the 00-18V is discontinued, they are at a premium. I am looking for something else with more "guts". Perhaps a 000 such as a first year 96 Clapton. I am also patient, and that is something to have on your side. Guitars are like ex wives and ex girlfriends and busses. Hang on long enough and another one will come by.
Absolutely. Couldn’t agree more. You can’t sell your guitar or anything else around Christmas.

Interesting points... maybe I should be on the lookout for something really nice in this buyer's market, or I could tell that to the missus ;)
