Dude please do Elysia! One of the best and most influential deathcore bands ever with Masochist! Others I’d love to see include knights of the abyss, Molotov solution, war from a harlots mouth, a black rose burial, see you next Tuesday, the yellow sign, the contortionist, the Irish front, from the shallows, and the hunt for Ida wave/eternal lord - so many to do!
Great list of bands dude. Holy shit I COMPLETELY forgot about the Irish front... gonna have to go back and listen to some of their shit for the first time in over a decade lol
Decimate the Weak is one of the greatest deathcore albums of all time and it’s not talked about enough!!!! Saw them in ‘09 and I’ll never forget that show!!!
I got to see Wings Of Plague on that 2008 shit! They played Trash N Burn 08 tour with Arsonists Get All The Girls, Parkway Drive, After The Burial, Misery Signals, Abigail Williams and Stick To Your Guns. Unbelievable show.
do you remember WOP’s drummer being out for part of the tour and Abigail Williams’s drummer filling in with almost no rehearsal time? it was one of bro’ist moments i’ve seen in live music. i’m from Pensacola, FL and think it was really early on the tour stops. the venue they played doesn’t even exist anymore lol
Definitely do a part 2 man. I tell all my old deathcore scene buddies about this channel. Winds of Plague was hands down my favorite band back then. I had my WoP hoodie and like 3 different shirts I pretty much cycled wearing throughout the week 😂 Love you man, would love to talk about metal with you on yours or my live stream when (not if) mine takes off. You're such a chill cool dude that liked all the same shit I liked.
I bought The Great Stone War when I was a teenager without even hearing how they sounded but only cuz the album cover was badass and didn't regret it. This band fuckin SLAYSSSSSS 🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
I remember when The Great Stone War came out and it seemed like most people hated it but my friends and I played it all the time. When Mitch Lucker’s vocals come in, it’s the most badass part. 🤘🤘🤘🤘
I remember when it came out as well, i was in 11th grade & went to one of my friends house after school and he was like check this out they just dropped this badass album and he proceeds to play "Our Requiem".
Got to see winds of plague in 2007 at some small church show. They were playing with at the throne of judgement, catherine, and born of osiris (pre the new reign). It was such an insane show. Seeing their lead singer up that close it felt like a dragon in human form is the only way I can describe it.
I saw for my first show ever WOP open up for as the blood runs black! Nasty show! But I’ll never forget when WOP was performing the vocalist picked up a grown ass man out of the crowd and threw him all the way to the pit ! Fell in love with metal shows the second I saw that
Angels of Debauchery has one of the heaviest two step ever Saw them in 08’. Good times man. Can you do For the Fallen Dreams? Would be cool the see you cover their origins becuz Changes is one of the most beautifully constructed albums of all time. Kind of bummed of the direction they went 🤷♂️ oh well it happens
Bro you gotta do a bleeding through video they were and still are one of the best and heaviest metalcore bands and the fact they are still kicking ass is the shit
The Great Stone War I thought was a super great follow up album and its concept is super fun. The sound itself improved so much, guitars are so melodic at times and their parts were written so much better. It was way less deathcore but hey, we had their prev albums to do that. Breakdowns were still as heavy, more keys, better production.
I agree with you though. For some reason when the great stonewall came out, I remember me and all of my friends hated it but now listening back to it I don’t know why we did.
Bro, my coworker and I would constantly be on that 2008 shit at my old liquor store job!! If you get time look into A Different Breed of Killer. They were sick, and lost track of them after I, Colossus.
I seen them in summer slaughter tour 2009....SO DAMN EPIC. After the show all my buddies were asleep at the sleep over and i was the only one up with my phone and earbuds just replaying decimate the weak and such from that album for hours lol. Good times! And they play in standard tuning. Insane lol
Man WOP pits back in 09-10 were so fun 😭😭😭. Backwards snap backs, skinnys, vans, white tees, two steps, side to sides bruhhhh don’t get me started on the good ol days 😮😮😮
I will never forget seeing the original lineup of Winds of Plague live. I ended up standing right in front of the lead guitarist. Somebody got a great picture of me giving the guitarist middle fingers while chanting the lyrics to him. He was giving me middle fingers back while playing and chanting the lyrics back to me. It was siiiiick. \m/
Bro keep up the content! You are such a fun person to watch you’re so chill and we all respect how we see what a true fan you are of these great bands!
I agree so much with your bass take. I love when the bass is loud in the mix - it just sounds so fucking good, even if it's played the exact same as the guitar riffs. (Yes, I'm a bassist)
Man I love WOP.. I got my rx at the time into them too, she'd practice they're songs on keyboard . We had the pleasure of seeing them in Victorville at the Karma in 08 with Born of Osiris and Whitechapel..either 08 or 09❤
Hey there, I'm loving the dedication this channel has deathcore scene! It's like a nostalgic trip every time. 🤘 Winds of Plague was such a powerhouse back then, and this video is a perfect reminder of their brutal sound. My favorite album of theirs is The Great Stone War. Such an amazing concept album, along with an amazing feature by Mitch. Also, I wanted to mention how much I enjoyed your first Twitch stream. It's awesome to see content creators branching out and connecting with fans in different ways. Keep up the great work! Looking forward to more content. 🎸🔥
The Quality of your Videos just keeps getting better each video. Much Respect for representing the scene! Btw love your Style very handsome man i have to say😌
soooo not only is this video on one of the best myspace era bands - you incorporated halo. Decimate the weak was a masterpiece. Reloaded is by far my favorite song on that album. Great video man. keep them up
Flashback to Warped Tour 2011, it was my 2nd time seeing Winds of Plague. I was right up front right in front of Johnny Plague. He comes down off the stage and stands on the barricade, hovering above me, performing Decimate The Weak. He chops his elbow down when the breakdown hits, and it comes down right on my head (if you haven't noticed, this dude's arms are massive). Kind of fucked me up. Johnny rubs my head like I'm a little kid he just accidentally bumped into 😂😂 Later that day, I get shouldered in the side of the head in a circle pit and I'm really fucked up then. Had a headache the rest of the night and fell asleep in a chair during TTWP 😂 One of the best nights ever for a scene kid 😎
Yessss!!!! I was waiting for this one!!!! In my top 3 death core bands!!! The great stone war redefined deathcore over night!! One of the best metal albums of all time. Unfortunately they admitted to selling out to their fans because they didn't like it. The 2 albums after that were very underwhelming. They could have been bigger if they had expanded on the musicianship of the great stone war because a lot of bands are doing what they kind of started. From whay I've read, they got their name from the Unearth song Endless. The lyrics to that song say, "Winds of Plague" Hope to see you review Beneath the Massacre next. Thanks! By the way, Adrienne Cowan also I'd tye singer of her own symphonic band, Seven Spires. They are fantastic!
Great band, but sadly I haven't seen them live. I remember finding them on a sampler promoting decimate the weak, and buying the album shortly after. Keep up the awesome work, and I 100% approve of the office clips 🤘
dude when you started talking about the great stone war, i was like, damn i remember i hated that album when it came out. and you said the same thing haaha. idk why, im going to relisten to it now.

@@apoplexiamusic j’ai déjà fait Emmure 😅

ive been wanting an elysia video since i discovered the channel. also, salt the wound. and rose funeral.
Excellent list, I would also add iamerror, The Plasmarifle, Psyopus, Recon, Annotations of An Autopsy.
All sick as fuck bands. War From A Harlots Mouth ruled. Wish they could have played the States more
I really wish they would have continued making music

They don’t do it like this anymore. Hell of a show 🥲
I miss agatg used seem them all the time
Damn, haven’t heard AGATG mentioned in a long time, I completely forgot about them
Wow what an incredible lineup to see . I still want to see after the burial
do you remember WOP’s drummer being out for part of the tour and Abigail Williams’s drummer filling in with almost no rehearsal time? it was one of bro’ist moments i’ve seen in live music. i’m from Pensacola, FL and think it was really early on the tour stops. the venue they played doesn’t even exist anymore lol
Still have a copy of The Great Stone War on my CD rack. Loved this band.

The impaler breakdown is " 15:16 a greatest breakdown of all time" contender for sure.
@@jeffbell4434for SURE. Winds of Plague are in my opinion the best bands in regards to the breakdowns

One of my favorites from that time! The band I've seen the most live too! 16 times ! Last time at chaos and carnage Anaheim!
DTW is still in my daily rotation in 2023! Such a perfect album imo!
Has he done “salt the wound” yet? Would love to see that one too
he has not
Cleveland OG’s
Better than this, A slight burning sensation, The conformist..... Love Salt
YOU KNOW WHAT I HATE? WHEN I'M AWAKE AND DREAMING!!
We Need Despised Icon Or The Red Chord
Both on the list !
The Acacia Strain when ?! Love all these vids man!!

i was fortunate to see WOP in the early days in 2006, xAFBx also played that show. that was the first and last time i saw them.
We going to see an Impending Doom video?!
They're on the list for sure
I agree with you though. For some reason when the great stonewall came out, I remember me and all of my friends hated it but now listening back to it I don’t know why we did.
Its a weird thing haha
Volumes please
I could go for this!
On the list my guy!
Finally! Much needed WoP content!
They had some of the best pits. Saw them around 09 i think with atb and aild. Was sick
I would say Frankie from Emmure is the Fred Durst of the deathcore scene
Bro, my coworker and I would constantly be on that 2008 shit at my old liquor store job!! If you get time look into A Different Breed of Killer. They were sick, and lost track of them after I, Colossus.

Thanks to this video I've been jamming WOP for like 4 straight weeks😂😂 Thanks...making me feel young again

The band from my hometown. Crazy. Seeing how massive they got was awesome.
only Deathcore band to tune to Standard. E standard can still be brutal af if you know what you’re doing.
