I always resented having to watch this every time I'd take the tour. Not just because it's a glorified clip show but because we watched Back to Neverland first which put any follow-ups at a disadvantage.
I find it interesting they had collector's cels for Beauty and the Beast and Aladdin, since both those films were digitally inked and painted. The last Disney animated feature to use actual cels was The Little Mermaid.
You; are correct. Disney used 'CAPS' (Computer Animation and Production System), but did not want to go public with that info at the time being afraid it would hurt the Disney image of traditional animation. The cels were painted by hand for gallery sales...
@@VintageDisneyParksChannel Really? Thanks for the info! I wish more traditionally animated features and shows (both Disney and non-Disney) that used digital ink and paint would offer cels for collectors/galleries.
Is there any footage from a pair of animated Disney movies with Cheech Marin in this presentation which consist of "Oliver & Company (1988)" (in which he voiced a little red-haired Mexican Chihuahua named Tito) and "The Lion King (1994)" (in which he voiced a hyena named Banzai)?
I adore the fact that for this video has been used exclusively analog sources which bringing waves of nostalgia and warm feeling... Thanks for sharing this wonderful video. ❤

That was a good video, I remember this movie at the end of the tour, I am having nostalgic memories about this , It's interesting that you managed to get this video.
Wasn't there an intro to this film with all the Disney characters taking seats in the theater? Chernabog menaces Mickey Mouse, then Disney CEO Michael Eisner slows up, and a fluttered Chernabog apologizes and says, "Sorry, Mr Eisner." That is the footage I want to see.
@@hotwax9376Even more so confidering that the film's success practically saved western animation from being phased out in the late 70s, when interest in it was fading, and how it influenced so many new animated films in the 80s, both Disney and not. 🤷🏻♂️
Do you happen to have the video that proceeded this one that was shown in the hallway as you waited to go into the theater to view this? I have been looking for it for years... its the video that made me want to become an animator... it had Glen Keane, Andreas Deja, Eric Goldberg, Mark Henn and more talking about how animation changed their lives and how/why they animated something the way that they did...
Vintage Disney Parks Channel Thank you. Do you have any footage of the hallway in front of the glass wall that divides park guests from the large atrium of the actual animation studio and all of the animators?
I think I actually do have some footage of that area where you could see the animator deks, but it must be later than 2003 what I am working on right now. When I come across it, I will certainly upload it...
I got laughed at back when I was living in Camden at the library when I was singing and some kids was laughing and mocking me and one person posted the video on Facebook and wrote 15 mean comments instead of nice comments about me and I was embarrassed and upset about it no one likes my talent I like to sing a lot while listening to music and singing along and dancing too any positive advice for me about my situation please I need a new friend someone who’ll accept me for who I am and not judge me just because I’m different from other people please how can I find my happily ever after any advice for me am I considered a princess like princess Aurora my hair is naturally curly
Classic Disney is blessed
I see there's an updated version with newer movies here on RUclips but honestly I think this one is better.
I Miss Disney-MGM Studios, but I Still Like it as Disney's Hollywood Studios
This made me so nostalgic. ❤️❤️❤️❤️

I would have been hurt to see The Rescuers' beautifully animated sequences be completely absent from this montage. 😔
Yes, indeed. That film is criminally underrated.
