Got a set a month ago. Using a Marantz NR-1200. Needed something with HDMI in and out. I’m sure they’d sound even better with a integrated amp but honestly it sounds pretty good. I also have a REL T-5x
Thank you for the mini review. It should be noted that the amplifiers are VERY different in price point - at least over here in Canada, although I suppose that it's the same in Australia too. The Marantz is about $1500 CAD, the Roksan is $2300 CAD and the PrimaLuna is $3300 CAD.
I love your reviews in the way you explain. I have a Roksan K3. I would like to know your opinion or that you advise me to buy the Linton from Wharfedale or the KEF R3, which is more transparent or more open on top. i like rock music
We haven't tried these speakers with the 8300A specifically but we have used them extensively with the 6000A and Omnia and they sound excellent together. Absolutely stunning imaging in particular. I imagine the 8300A will be a similar experience.
Hello , thank you for the review. I have a small disagreement here, I just hooked metas borrove from local distributor, to my naim XS2 which I bought second hand recently and I do love it but with metas I came to bed result. It is mostly pronaunced in female vocals which became very thin. So that is how is the sound overall, bass is very good but the rest up from there is not. Now I am a bit disapointed with my amp which is kind of add liveness to all dark speakers. Will see what I will do If I change my amp or try somthing like proac tablettes, hovever I have a bit bias that amp which does not sound good with ls50 metas is not good amp so....I fried my friends cambridge axa35 and I could not believe how good is the tonal result. Of course all audiophile things such as instrument separation, detail and so on are almost away compared to naim but , I compared female vocals tonality to my apple headphones (which are nothing of reference I know) and the sound tonality to my humble opinion is authentic (except headphones have a bit strong bass to my taste, and kef + axa35 doesnt),...amazing because I thought that with my budget I will have problem to come to headphones experience from hifi. Now on one site I am a bit angry because I changed cxa81 for xs2 but on other hand I finally found something what I really like.... At this moment I am listening Bach where is choir, beautifull,....I do not think I will need sub with those speakers,
Did you tried the Metas with Parasound Gear, I have the Parasound 200 Pre + 275v2 amp running with Monitor Audio Silver 6, I have no complaints and I like very much the sound. But maybe in my small room bookshelf speakers will fit better. Do you think it will worth the purchase, leaving behind my MA S6s?
Unfortunately we dont have access to Parasound here. If you already enjoy your sound than moving to bookshelves might feel like a bit of a downgrade, atleast in terms of bass response, if you have a local hi-fi shop that can demo the Kef for you or even let you bring in your amp for pairing then be sure to take advantage of it though!
Unfortunately, we haven't had the chance to hear the Dali Rubicon 2's, your best bet would be to find a local dealer that has the K3 and ask if you can take your speakers in to test with the unit.
Im planning on buying the metas for everyday listening. Muse is my fav band. My living room connects to my kitchen (60m2 total) and i mostly listen to music on spotify. Which amp would you recommend?
That depends entirely on your budget, the size of your room, your taste in music and synergy with your curreny amplifier. I don't believe there is such a thing as "a best current bookshelf speaker".
If you are looking to pair the Kef LS50W II with the Hegel H95 or H120 they sound fantastic together! However, if you are wanting speaker pairing recommendations for the Hegel H95 we are hoping to cover the Hegel range in the not too distant future. At the moment we have a lot of new products coming through that, unfortunately, need to take priority.
We haven't had the chance to pair them with a subwoofer as of yet but if you are in a bigger room than absolutely, the wireless versions actually come with a subwoofer out each and can support dedicated left and right subs.
My connection at home is KEF R700 and Roksan K3. A great set. I recommend.

In Australia they are very similar in price, all amps are between $3150-$3399
@@living_entertainment Really shocked that the Marantz is priced so high! Again thank you for the review though.
@@99Vood99 so which one do you own?
@@MasterofPlay7 I've owned the Marantz for the past two years - love it!
@@99Vood99 70w per channel for that price tag i feel is overpriced
I love these speakers 👍️👍️
They are pretty amazing!

How about KEF ls50 with Roksan Attessa?
The product looks good, although it will be different from ours.
Do you think the LS50 Meta would be a good match with Audiolab 8300A integrated Amplifier? It is 75W per channel at 8 ohms. thank you

How are they same price though - marantz is at least $1000 less than the other 2
Would love to hear your thoughts on how the wireless version of these speakers compare to the passive using these amps
We are working on a video about this very topic. ;)
The wireless LS50 already have built in amps and dac.
Better stay away from wireless. The forums are full of complaints about their amps failing.

Hi there ! I've got Dali Rubicon 2 and im looking to pair them with the Roksan K3! Do you think is a good choice? Thanks!

If you are going with the Metas depending on your budget we would recommend either the Hegel 95 or 120.
have you had a listen to these speakers with the CXA81? would it be nice pairing for streaming music like spotify?
We are not a Cambridge dealer so its not a combination we have tried.
Any test of ls50 with Leena pulse?
My towers are polk Signature s60 suggest me a good amp. I am using Marantz pm6006 but the bass is not powerfull & muddy.
We are not a Polk dealer so unfortunately we do not have the speakers on hand for testing. Good luck in your search!
In your opinion how do these Meta's compare with the original ls50's?
We never had the original LS50s on the floor to compare them too so unfortunately we can't make a comparison.
What is the best current Bookshelf Speaker? (Muslc ONLY)
That depends entirely on your budget, the size of your room, your taste in music and synergy with your curreny amplifier. I don't believe there is such a thing as "a best current bookshelf speaker".
roksan 3 or elicit 3 with Dynaudio Evoke 30?
Haven't tried either combination so we don't know.
can you do one with the Hegel H95?
If you are looking to pair the Kef LS50W II with the Hegel H95 or H120 they sound fantastic together!

Sir
Please compare b&w 606 s2
We are not a B&W dealer unfortunately, atleast when it comes to Bookshelf speakers, so we can't. :(
Will you be getting the Kef KC62 sub ?
We are hoping so down the track, stock in Australia is currently very limited.
Would you say a subwoofer would fit together with them nicely?
We haven't had the chance to pair them with a subwoofer as of yet but if you are in a bigger room than absolutely, the wireless versions actually come with a subwoofer out each and can support dedicated left and right subs.
All I’ve heard is your mouth not the amp. Trickster !
The video title does say "first impressions".
This is not a review of metas. It is a review of three different amps. Nice try though.
This is why the video is titled First Impressions. :)
@@living_entertainment ill be making some impressions tomorrow when they get delivered :). cheers
@@HeavyBeats24 Congratulations! I don't think you will be dissapointed!
