Broadcast Buddy TV
I've always seen a broadcast PGM monitor dedicated to the A1 to make sure lip sync is perfectly in-line. HDMI processing and MV processing sometimes add a few frames to the video and cause the AV sync to look in line on the monitor while the PGM audio is a frame or two ahead of the video.
I love the use of the space throughout. You're able to fit a lot in a tight space.
This is a good call. I have this in Hermes1 and should probably add one at some point here, lol.
I like that the racks are in the front with the doors. That will provide good access to the wiring!
Thanks! I have some big plans for that space too!
This is a fun one to stay up to date with, almost better than the newest shows on Disney+ lol! Thanks for educational and fun stuff
My absolute pleasure!
M32!! Nice. Our choice as well.
Hey great job on your videos, what cameras system are you planning to use in the new truck
Hey, thanks!
Hitachi SK-HD1800s!
Will we see the truck in action on RUclips?
My goal is to make a video during the maiden voyage. But we'll see how chaotic it is, lol.
Regardless, I'm definitely going to do a BTS with it during a gig!
@@BroadcastBuddyTV looking forward to it
You can actually do five racks side by side in the US? In Europe we are limited to about four and half.
How do you pull the cabling under the floor? I usually do it with a cable puller designed for pulling cables into pipes and that is incredibly frustrating under the floor in cable canals because it lacks any directional control. I wonder if there is a better way?
I am in Canada and we have 5 - 19" inside dimension & just shy of 6 feet tall racks in our trailer. Most of the smaller trailers I have seen in North America have a very similar design with the 5 racks.
Hi!
Yes, max trailer width in the US is approximately 8ft (96 inches) or about 2.4 meters. With each rack being 19 inches in length, it works out but with very little wiggle room lol.
As far as the cable pull, we have a long rope (double the length of the trailer) bound at each end of each floor channel. At any given time, all the extra slack is at on end. When you need to make a pull, you attach the cable to the slacked end. Then, pull from the no-slacked end. By the end of the pull, you have your cable and all the slack at the other end. Then, rinse and repeat!
I'll demo it in an update video for you!
How much weight are you calculating for the 5 overhead racks of equipment?
I'd have to tally it up. I'll get back to you on that one!
What software are you using for this diagramming?
Lucidchart
How are you adding assets that look like the real equipment in LucidChart?
Not sure how Broadcast Buddy is doing it, however when I built our trailer I either found images from the manufacturer or took an image from the internet and imported them into Lucidchart so it would look nice!
There's an option to add images (as opposed to shapes). It uses Bing image search to pull images, then you can just add them into your diagram!
You can also crop the image once added!
