I’m glad that it’s being discussed how Foxy is not mentioned way too often. Fox was a beast (flow, cadence, lyrics, swag) and had a successful run with multiple platinum and gold albums. A travesty to the hip hop game and history by not including her.
Foxy did alot of foul shit behind the scenes; whereas kim would hold people down. Plus Kim release more music.
Foxy lost her hearing not long after her album came out. Sum weird sensory disease. That s why she left hip hop. Made great music👍🏿👍🏿

That is the difference although Nikki Minaj and Cardi B had some "issues" early on they still can draw fans and not make it "crowded". I disagree about the colorism. No one even cared that Kim was a darker brown, that was her own hangups. Fox was a baddie. None of the female rappers up to that date were exotic looking or super light skinned. Latifah is the closest to almost being light skinned. Fox ruined her legacy herself. That mouth and times she’s lashed out at people.
Nobody acknowledge Eve pen work either. She had bars, could tell story, and sex appeal that really was just a bonus to her artistry and not the focal point!
