    Everyone has different hips. It will take time. I just need a program to follow and get into it. Not sure why the word "fast" is being used by everyone advertising a "program".

      @theone4808 Год назад +5

      Not only that but I researched it and if you try to do the splits too fast you can actually rip your muscles. It's so dangerous to try and push too far. Once your muscle rips it's a long road to recovery.

    The guy is naturally flexible. I train my splits since I was 29 (now Im 35) and I never had a split like that.

      @mindsetoftheo  Год назад +3

      I'm not :)
      How comes you know if I'm natural flexible or not?
      I played soccer from age 4 to 21. At age 18. I couldn't touch my toes with my hands :)
      I'm 30 now and stretched a lot in the last 5 years as I became a yoga teacher. At this session with Matt, I was still 20 cm from the floor. He showed me techniques and exercises to make it balls to floor.
      It's hard dedicated consistent work over years + a good teacher, not being naturally flexible.
      If you worked specifically on splits for 6 years and you didn't get there, you should check Matts assessment course. If you do it right, you make it to splits in less than a year.
      All the best on your journey :)

      @@mindsetoftheo Thank you for your answer. I am a coach and I have competed, I know how to recognize a flexible person from someone who is not. I know how to do the splits, I achieved it after six months of specific training, despite everything it is not as well done as yours which is comparable to that of a ballerina. You yourself say that you have practiced yoga for 5 years, enough to bring out the flexibility that you thought you didn't have. The method, however valid it may be, requires a predisposed person, it can do very little on an inflexible person, for example you have very little fat and this helps a lot in joint mobility. Best regards

      @mindsetoftheo  Год назад +3

      Well my low body fat has definitely no impact on my flexibility...
      If you wanna see other people entering middle split, check out Matt's page. He has tons of testimonials with people of all body types entering the middle split. :)

      @@mindsetoftheo you see that the low percentage of fat is essential for flexibility, of course there are the fat ones who can still do the splits but are still limited by the fat which limits the movements of the joints. I will watch the videos carefully, rest assured because I care a lot about my mobility, I train it every day. Thank you

    Im finally about 2 inches away from the ground, but stuck here for weeks now. One of my biggest problem is pain on the inner side of my knees (more painful on the left), and I’m very very scared I might tear something. Any advise on how to deal with the pain or possible causes for the pain in inner knee?

    • @mindsetoftheo
      @mindsetoftheo  Год назад +1

      If you feel pain, especially pain that feels like you tear something I would tell you to not push harder. Instead, have a closer look on whats going on. Maybe there's more room in the hips, work on that part to save the knees. or work on the knees in a softer position. but dont push through pain, just to unlock another 2 cm. health should come first :)

    Great work, Theo and Matt. Inspiring stuff. Just starting on my middle split journey - will definitely take longer than a session, but I am confident I will get there in time. And I am in no big rush! The work both of you do, and the content you provide, are just brilliant, so thanks a bunch.

    Yeah, you went from 150° to 180°, only 15° more for each thigh bone to move in their hip sockets. Let's see someone like me, a middle-aged man who barely can get 90° between thigh bones get to 180°, which would be three times the movement, 45° for each leg. And let's see someone are that level make that gain in a month. Is that possible?

    • @mindsetoftheo
      @mindsetoftheo  Год назад +1

      That's something Matt knows better than me. I can only tell you about my experience. Though, starting at 90 degrees is a long way. After taking Matts online assessment we would know more. It depends on many factors, but getting flat from 90 degrees in a month is too optimistic I would say.
      Still all the best on your journey stephen :)
